Hp had no record of the serial number on the delivered product. The PIN required to unlock various functions on the machine was not recognizable to allow HP assistance to proceed. It took me 6 hours on the phone to reach a representative who told me what i just noted above. That resulted in me being assigned a case number for specific technical help. after two hours of trying to solve the issues the tech rep suggested replacing the unit (which was 2 weeks old) with a new machine. I was unpleasantly surprised when, in exchange for my brand new printer, I was presented with a "fully reconditioned" machine. Again, it required HP tech support to straighten out the warranty term on the reconditioned printer. HP records showed a 3 week warranty remained before expiration. Again, this required the better part of 2 hours of hands-on tech support to get the machine working properly. Overall the experience I had setting up the pc and printer was a nightmare. When either of these machines reaches it terminal state I will be looking for a DELL solution.

Scanning too many documents takes all day to do because I have to turn it on and off constantly.
The only issue I have is I am constantly having to turn it off and on when I have to do lots of scanning.

Total mistake
This was a total mistake on my part. This printer right out of the box was a piece of junk. The document feeder torn up the paper goibg through the feeder. What made is worse was HP customer support would not work with me to correct the situation. Their answer was for me to purchase a new print we and i was to send the old one back and I would get a credit a week or more later. Needless to say i didn't agree. I bought another brand printer

My short term review.
I'm very pleased. The color is great, I look for color things to print!! I like how it prints on both sides without pulling the paper out and flipping it over. I use a laptop at home and connected the USB straight to the laptop. No problems. Only thing I've noticed is that it occasionally gives an "out of paper" signal when it's not. But simply pushing the button fixes that. I'll get around to trying to hook it up via bluetooth with my phone. I'm not a big user, the box said everyday printing but I only probably print about 10 pages a week. I'd like to come back to this in about a year as I haven't had good luck with printers lasting a long time. I keep it covered when I'm not using it. So far so good, I'd certainly recommend this printer

Great Printer
I ordered this a month ago, I had to wait for my new desk to arrive so I JUST started using this. So far so good does the job and is better than the last laser I had from another company. Much easier to use.

Review of HP 3301 Color Laser Printer
Price was competitive to Amazon. Setup was very easy. Similar to my previous Hp printer which had a paper jam making it irretrievable. There in lays the reason for getting the 3301. It is the new version of my old printer. I like it, but it has some different things, but I am getting used to it.

ImageCapture from MacOS not supported
I'm using this printer on a Mac and I tried using ImageCapture built-in in MacOS, but it keeps hanging with an error message. I contacted support, and they said I have to use HPSmart. Unfortunately I found HPSmart difficult to use and it didn't support the scan features that ImageCapture has.

Great Multi-Function Color Printer for Home or Small Business
This is my first LaserJet printer for home use and it is indeed a huge improvement compared to our old inkjet printers. It is much faster and quieter and the print quality is outstanding. Importantly, I am no longer replacing ink cartridges that dry out over periods of non-use, which was frustrating and a waste of money. The form factor of the 3301fdw is excellent, it looks professional and takes up roughly the same “real estate” on a desk as our prior HP inkjet printer. Setup was relatively straightforward, and I was printing and making copies within minutes of unpacking the unit from the box. The one significant glitch so far is scanning directly to an email address. Having tried unsuccessfully for a couple of hours, I have resorted to scanning into the App and uploading and emailing from there. That works, but it requires extra steps. I am sure I will eventually be able to figure out direct scanning to an email, but it will take some more time no doubt. Overall, this is a great multi-function color printer for home or small business use and I would recommend it highly.

Great all around home office.
I use the printer for a home office. The printer was easy to setup and has many great features. My only complaint is that it is a little louder than I would have expected. The prints come out fast and print quality is great. I did try using some photo paper I had to print pictures but it did not seem to work out that well as the ink ran on the paper. Not the end of the world as I didn’t buy the printer specifically for photos.

Great printer but loud
The quality of the printing is great, no complaints there at all, but it's loud. I bought it hoping it'd be quieter and faster than the old inkjet we had, but it's not. It also randomly 'calibrates' and makes noise when my husband is on meeting calls - I had to run in and unplug it yesterday.
I haven't been able to figure out how to print remotely on it, which has also been very frustrating.

This HP printer is a fantastic little machine. It’s small but can do a lot! Prints come out bright and clear, and it’s super fast. The touchscreen is easy to use, and you can connect it to your wireless network. Plus, it can copy and scan too. If you need a printer that can handle it all, this one is a good choice.

Fast Prints + High Quality Pages = 1 Great Pinter
This was my first experience using a laser printer at home. For years I have always used an all-in-on, inkjet style printer. Although the inkjet style printer has served me well in the past, after my experience with the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301 Printer, I'll never go back. These are the things that impressed me most about this printer:
Setup/Connectivity - The setup for this printer couldn’t have been easier. I think it took me longer to get the printer out of the box than it did to set it up. I was able to connect and print test pages within minutes. Downloading the HP app prior to setup certainly helped make installation go even quicker. Even without the app, connecting to other devices was a snap.
Print Speed - This is where the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301 printer truly shines. The print speed is much more comparable to a high end office copier than a home printer. Although print speed isn't typically an issue when printing at home, it has come up from time to time. There have been several occasions when I’ve needed to print some important pages just minutes before leaving the house for a meeting, and this printer has delivered every time.
Print Quality - In comparing the LaserJet Pro MFP 3301 to my old inkjet style printer, there is no real comparison. My previous inkjet style printer is no match for the LaserJet Pro MFP 3301 in terms of image quality. The images are crisp, colors are vibrant, blacks are dark, there are no lines or streaking, and the contrast/sharpness is amazing. All in all, this is why you choose a laser printer!
Other Features - In fairness I must mention the other functions of this printer, as it does more than just print. The scanner works fine. I’ve used it for both scanning documents to save to file, and scanning documents to make copies. I haven't had any issues doing either.
Overall Review - Overall, I am extremely happy with the performance of the HP MFP 3301 LaserJet Pro. Honestly, after using it for a while now, I can't believe I ever used any other printer at home. I own a small business, and no longer have to run to the local print shop to get important documents printed or copied. Being able to print professional quality pages at home has been a joy. I couldn’t be more pleased with the performance of this multi-function printer!

Amazing printer good for home or office.
I have used many black and white and color laser printers both in my home and office and this o e is the best by far. First noticeable difference is this unit is super compact and takes up much less space than most other printers that don’t have nearly as many features. Unboxing and setup was super simple and took probably less than 5 minutes and we were printing. The main reason we updated our older printer was for the duplex feature. We print a lot of color graphics and invoices for our customers and it is nice to be able to quickly and easily print on both sides of the paper. The print quality is on par with printers costing much more, the print speed is top notch. I honestly can’t find anything about this printer I do not like and wound highly recommend to anyone.

Perfect for The Entire Family!!!
I was skeptical when my husband purchased the printer but it was super easy to set up and packaged supremely well. We got it out of the box and began to use it immediately. It only took minutes to get used to all of the screens and the interactions of the printer. It was also very easy to coordinate the wireless function and Wi-Fi so that we could use the phone to operate the printer. I really enjoyed it a few weeks ago when my husband asked me to make a copy of his passport so he can carry it daily when he was abroad instead of carrying his official passport. The picture of the passport came out beautifully and the picture quality, and the crispness was amazing. I cannot speak any more highly of the printer, the functionality and the ease of operation. This printer will definitely be one that we will continue to use for the entire family and for our small business. It was also quite useful with my son’s small project that he had for Summer camp. The copies of the pictures that he took were amazing. It was almost a shame to send them as a project and not frame them for home use. This has been an amazing Printer and again I can’t speak anymore highly of the quality of operation and set up! Hats off to HP for their 3 301SDW Printer.

I have used HP printer for 25+ years. This printer was surprisingly fast, great colors.
In reading the manual, I could not find out how to use tray 1. I had to wait for the answe to appear in Google that tray 1 is a manual feed tray.
I would have preferred to have 2 tray that you could adjust paper size. All in all, HP has nor disappointed. They have shown their great standards in this printer. I would recommend this printer for home or office use.

Connected and in use!
We returned from vacation and I retrieved the printer from the neighbor used! I connected it to my wifi without any issues. As a part-time writer, I pulled up several articles to see the clarity of the print along with the color crispness. Wow - the fonts are sharp and the colors are bold. No mincing words - this is one excellent printer - and you need one also!

I’ve worked in IT for over 20 years, and have had some good printers and bad, and this one has been great so far. Had many issues with my black and white HP laserjet previously wanting to constantly disconnect from the WiFi. This printer, the HP Color Laserjet Pro MFP 3301sdw has been consistent since the easy setup on screen to get connected with our WiFi. It took less than 10 minutes to get up and running, and print from my iPhone, and other devices. The printer came preloaded with the four toner cartridges it uses, black/magenta/cyan/yellow in the slide out tray. Add paper to the paper tray that can hold up to 250 sheets and away you go. It has a top load feed scanner to copy/scan documents quickly, or single page glass scanner to scan in other media types like photos. It is big, and heavy, so it may take two to unbox it. It prints quick, has nice colors and tones to printed pages. I will say some pages the black tones don’t show well when printing with other rich color tones. Could’ve been that particular page printed though as well. Overall a great printer for work from home, small business, or a family with school kids that have projects due. The four pack of toners currently seem to be around $229 so they are a bit pricey, but may come down with time as it is a new printer. Each toner states it prints about 1500 pages or so, so at least it will be a while until needed.

I have been really impressed with this compact color laser printer. Great packaging, super easy to set up and connect to, and great quality quiet and quick printing. We have a small business and use the printer sometimes all day, every day and so far this printer hasn't shied away from any job I've thrown at it. I'm quite impressed with the ease of connection and how fast it prints such great quality color laser prints.

Well, this is a fantastic printer!
This is not my first printer... this is not my second printer... this may be my last printer though. It just works. Plug it in, turn it on, it works. So far, no issues - great picture quality, great speed, and I am having no problems with it at all! Yes, I came from another printer that was having issues, but with this one I am blown away.
Easy to use, great quality, easy to share with everyone in my family, easy to printer or scan EVEN FROM MY PHONE. A++!
