Perfect printer for casual probing people
I like the size of this printer, fits perfect in space on my desk. I downloaded the app to my computer, phone and I pad! It was a little difficult, but I am not very good at electronics! Once I got it set up, I went in another room, found something to print from my phone, printed in no time! Was very clear . I then went upstairs of my house and sent something to printer from up there and it printed just as quick from up there. I am very happy and would very much recommend it!

Fast, Efficient, Simple
I was looking to replace a standard inkjet printer due to cost. I needed a printer to support a small contracting business and printing invoices and tax forms was too expensive to do on the inkjet printer so I decided to take a leap of faith and get this HP LaserJet Printer and I am so glad I did. It was quick to set up. I was printing within 20 minutes of opening the box. The printer comes with instructions that are easy to follow. You do not need to be tech savvy to be able to use this printer. The printer is wireless capable or you can connect using an Ethernet cable for added security. It is a printer and scanner in one, which is a plus. I like that it includes two free months of ink and toner. If you are looking for a fast, cost effective and simple solution to your printing needs, this one is a no-brainer! Highly recommend!

High quality scanner and fast printing
The HP LaserJet MFP M234sdw is a monochrome multifunction printer. With that being said the scanner is full color and does great with single side scanning. Yes that is correct, no double sided scanning here.
Although it does not scan both sides it is quick and again the scan quality is great.
As far as printing goes again it is quick and the print quality is great. For one thing the ink dries quickly and the lines are perfect.
Setup was easy for this printer. Just loaded the hp app on my phone and was setup and printing in a couple of minutes. Took me more time to take off all the packing tape than to setup the printer.
Definitely recommend this to the person that prints a lot and does not require a color printer for everything they do.

Perfect Laser Printer for Home use
I have been using inkjet printers for the last 10 years and finally moved this Laserjet printer from HP. The setup was very easy and I was impressed by the speed and quality of printing. It has large ink tanks and I don't have to worry about ink replacements every 2 months. It is compact in size but nothing short in high quality printing and scanning. Overall, a best upgrade from an inkjet printer and I am going to use it for a very long time.

Fast and super easy
I am not technologically inclined but the set up of this printer is easy for even beginners. It prints fast and perfect from even your phone or laptop. The print quality was great and this blows standard printers out of the water. I've never had a laser printer until now and I'm never going back.

Excellent. Powerful little machine!!
I started with the box arriving on time and mostly undamaged. It had a small dent in the corner of the box from shipping. I opened the box and found that the dent had no effect on the product. The rest of the unboxing went smoothly.
The process of removal of the packing material was very well thought out.
I proceeded to try to install it on my network. The instructions talk about disabling your VPN. I kept the VPN off. I had a hard time getting the HP Smart software to find the printer from my desktop. I finally realized that my antivirus software was still engaged. As soon as I temporarily disabled the antivirus the rest of the installation process went smoothly. After the printer was found, the antivirus was able to be turned back on without problems.
I like the advanced features of this unit for the price. It can scan multiple pages with the document feeder. It can print from the same duplex feeder. The HP Smart software makes these features seamless and easy to use.
The only thing that I was disappointed with is the fact that it only had one paper tray. I do occasionally print to legal size paper and I had 2 trays, one of legal and one of letter size paper on a prior unit. But I can easily swap out the stack of paper when I need to change sources.
Once you purchase a laser printer you will never go back to an inkjet. The price of this machine is very nice for everything that it can do. It basically replaces 3 machines in the office.
One function that I have not used yet is the fax function. Basically, HP is offering a fax on demand from the scanner service. I still have an old fax that scans just fine and I can usually print to another source.
I look forward to printing complex tasks like Christmas cards and envelopes, tax returns, and other legal sized, double-sided documents. This printer should serve all of my needs except color printing for years to come. It is really great and they have come a long way in small office level printers. I am impressed.

Works great
I have really been enjoying this HP laser jet printer. It prints quickly and has great resolution for clean images. I’ve been working on a vintage cookbook and this printer has really improved the look of the pages. It will also save me money not having to buy all the different cartridges like the last printer I was using. I would definitely recommend this one. I received the product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

Quick and convenient!
I’ve never setup a printer quicker than this one. It even came with the ink installed! My favorite feature has to be the app, which allows me to print directly from my phone while still offering printing customization. Also, this printer is super quick, which makes it a huge asset for us and our small business. The only issue I’ve encountered is that some documents come out with strange symbols in place of letters and numbers. I’m assuming it’s a comparability issue with some format, but I have yet to figure that out. The same documents come out perfect when sent to other printers.

Good Things - Small Packages
This is an example of good things coming in small packages.
I'm a fan of laser printers because I don't print a lot, and always had problems with ink drying out. The tradeoff was usually size, but this one provides a lot of functionality in a small size. With the document feeder, scanning, and laser printing, I'd recommend this to anyone that would like to have a small footprint and all this functionality.
The tray in the front that has a small control panel on it can also flip up to minimize the space taken by this device when not in use.
Even the internals are designed well to nestle that toner cartridge inside but still make it easy to access. I was also very happy to see that the default credentials for the device are not the same for all devices but printed on a sticker inside the device.
Simple, well designed, and functional, and priced well too.

Most versatile smart printer/scanner
When first setting up and unboxing this printer I asked my self how is this printer so small but have so many capabilities. It takes up a very small footprint on your desk. This is great for small businesses and small families. You can set up this printer anywhere in your house and all be able to print. You don't have to be near a computer to print. This is where the versatility of this printer comes into play. You just need the HP app on your phone to set it up and start printing without a PC. I love this! If you do want to print the traditional way with a pc or Mac, you can. I used a USB cord with my Mac and it was found very easily. Either way works for this printer. This is the best thing of this printer. The many options to print is amazing. Here are all the ways to print HP app, usb, airprint and android IP. If you have trouble printing one way you can just use another way. This is so much easier to set up and makes it more versatile. I'm coming from a dumb laser printer that only used usb cord to print. Not having to have a PC always on in order to print is such a time saver. Also being able to keep this HP printer on without heating up my room is also a great thing. My old dumb laser printer would heat up my room and dim our lights to keep itself warmed up. This HP printer I can keep on all the time without these issues. The interface on the actual printer is small simple and to the point. Which is great since mostly all the advance options are being done on your phone or the app interface. This printer also offers duplex printing which saves a lot on paper. Prints are super fast and ink looks crisp on the paper. HP also offers a subscription service that keeps track of your pages printed and will send out ink as you need it. They offer a two month trial which is basically free toner for two months. Just pick the right plan and print away without worrying about your ink level, ever. This HP printer is so much fun to use.

I love this printer
I had been wanting a laser printer for the longest time. But wanted it for multiple projects and this one is perfect. It has the double sided print option, the standard and most of all scanner that allows me to be able to convert to PDF and can to email. I am able to print in different sizes, that allow me to print 30 pages a minute. The black and white printing allows me to do heat foil only on the areas that I want. This was one of my first projects and it turned out beautifully. I can’t wait to be able to create several different things. The printer is small but still has a bunch of great features mentioned above. Can be used from anywhere in your home. Super easy to install and connect that the whole family can use the printer, for any and all projects, simply download the app if using your phone. Or use the wifi setting for conputers i love that It also prints pretty quickly and very clear.

The little train the could!
If you need a little work horse for your home or office, then this is it! HP is the leader in the printing space and this printer is no exception. This B and W MFP does it all! If has extremely easy set up, wireless printing and access, plus it copies, scans and prints! Since we do not print much in color we opted for B and W which also means just 1 toner. Plus it is secure! It has all kinds of security features that keep your network safe.

Lighting Fast Printing/Scanning
I have had the unit for about 2 weeks now. The printer was very nicely packaged, i was able to see where to remove the tape thanks to it having a bright color. There was minimal packaging which is also great so not much trash to pick up. The instructions were pretty straightforward. The setup of the device was a little difficult with the companion app. However, my network found it immediately and I was able to connect right away. Print jobs from my phone are lighting fast. When I scan a document, it shows up on my desktop right away. I love that I don't have to be wired for setup. The Auto-feeder works great and the quality of the print jobs for my work documents is amazing. If you're looking for a black and white all-in-one, this is THE device for you! I love laser printers because I don't need to worry as much about refills, I also can't wait to try the HP ink delivery when it comes time.

HP to the rescue
I have always preferred laser printers over ink jet, but my old trusty printer was on it's last legs and I needed a printer with great features and quality.
The HP LaserJet MFP M234sdw fits the bill perfectly! After unboxing I had it up and running in no time thanks to the HP Smart software and the wireless connectivity is fantastic. The print quality is excellent and fast! I do scan a lot of documents and the scanner produces perfect images, and having a document feeder is a real plus.
HP has a track record of quality products and this printer exemplifies that. I give this printer two thumbs up!

Great for Home Office or Homework
The HP LaserJet M234dw exceeded my expectations. The printer quickly prints double-sided sheets in both long and short sided pages. The print is crisp and clear even with the smallest font.
I like that it is compact. I have a small office desk and it fits perfectly.
I had difficulty setting the printer up. It would not connect to my Wi-Fi. Turns out, it will not connect to a “guest” Wi-Fi or a group connection as say a dorm. That was disappointing. I finally put it on my main Wi-Fi and it is working well.
I’ve been able to print from my phone and my laptop very easily. Many times, since I am mostly printing my class work assignments, I print double-sided.
It can print on many different sizes of paper and you can sign up for the toner delivery from HP. I have not needed more ink yet, but take note that you must use cartridges with a new or reused HP chip. I am a fan of this printer because it does not print in color! I also like that it stays in a sleep mode so I can always print without having to run and power the printer on.

Perfectly Simple Printer
I have been using the HP LaserJet MFP M234dw printer for a couple weeks. Immediately, I loved the size of it. It is not too big or too small. I really appreciate the paper drawer being located in the front of the unit. It makes it very easy to see how much paper is in the machine. This is a double sided printer so there is no need to flip and rerun your paper. It prints very clear. The printer is very speedy. The scanner is very precise.. I appreciate how easy it is to make copies using the scanner. The set up was extremely simple also. It connected wireless almost immediately. This has fast become my go to printer for black and white documents and projects.

My last printer I could never print from my phone and it the printer was hardwired to my computer. Quick and easy bluetooth setup. Able to print from my phone right away. Fast and efficient printing. The laser printer only prints in black and white, but the cartridges last much longer than a regular ink printer. Quality of print was perfect.

Compact and Easy to Install
I needed a printer for my small business and I am very happy I choose this HP Laserjet. The printer connects via the HP app so I can print from my phone, computer or ipad from anywhere around the house. Set-up is easy and sets up automatically via wifi. Takes up very little space and does its job well!

Setup was complicated by false agents and I allowed them access to my pc. Took me a day to recover. Then I set up the printer on my experience. It’s an excellent printer.

Save your money
This is a plastic waste product. Not one week old and the paper outflow tray? already cracked. Paper load tray is a joke and the usb port is at the top of the back panel. Where do others put this printer . In a hole?. This is a quick replacement for a Brother that was spot on and has lasted for 6 years on a music tour keyboard rig. Stolen unfortunately. This 234 printer most likely will not physically last out a month of load in and load outs.

HP does everything they can to avoid support
Sold directly by HP, but they claim it's out of warranty or that they can't find such serial number.
Won't accept the claim code to add it to ePrint center.
Printer seems OK, but can't setup eprint and tech support is worse than non-existent - they waste your time in voicemail systems before not giving it. Spent a couple hours at least trying to get ANY help. Every number I call at one time claims it can not find such a serial number, at another time randomly tells me to "call later" without further info (I'm calling during open hours).
Web support also either claims it can't find s/n or that support is no longer available for it.
Plus they slapped an advertisement for their overpriced ink service right on the front and it's near impossible to peel off. What am I, a billboard for them?

Simple setup to MacBook
I replaced this with an older HP LaserJet that wouldn’t connect to our new internet. I again chose a LaserJet for my home office because the ink never goes dry. I was a little concerned that setup may be difficult since I use a MacBook Pro, but it was very easy. It also prints directly from our iPhones. The print is crisp and clear. So far it is a reliable printer.

This is a good compact sized printer. The only thing that makes it a 4 instead of a 5 is that we are a real estate and we need legal sized print capacity. So we bumped up to a better model for our needs.

HOW DO I SCAN multiple documents WITH THIS PRINTER?
Hello. Thanks for your question. You would need to scan the first page in the HP Smart app. Once that page is scanned, you can add a page in the app. You would repeat until all pages are scanned.
If you want to be able to scan multiple pages, we recommend looking at the HP Laserjet m234sdw printer. It has the ADF (Auto Document Feeder) on top that would allow you to scan up to 40 pages at a time.
