What thinness range of papers can this scanner scan through Auto Document Feeder? We want to scan 45 gsm papers in bulk. Is this scanner suitable for that?
This HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow 5000 s5 should be fine for 45GSM paperweight. The ScanJet is designed for Media Weights of 11.4 to 93.3 lb. The 45GSM will is approximately 16-17lb paperweight.

Can this scanner distinguish from letter and legal documents automatically? Can you scan letter and legal documents at once, or do you have to manually change the settings?
Hello, Jason. Thanks for your question. With Auto Detect Size, the HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow 5000 s5 can automatically recognize different paper sizes, including letter and legal, so you should be able to scan them together without manually switching settings.
