To say it's an upgrade is an understatement. This printer handles any task you throw at it, from office forms printing front and back to bright beautiful pictures, faxing, scanning, the works! Only knock on it would be that pictures only print great on photo paper, as printing on regular paper lacks vividness. If quality, ease, speed and "set it and forget" is your motto as well then look no further. It came in like a cool summer breeze on our favorite beach, which we printed a gorgeous picture of that can be seen in our review picture!

I tried to set up On/Off times (the printer gives an option to select ON/OFF times for each day of the week) using the touch screen on the printer. The problem is the printer uses ONLY GMT (suitable for users in the U.K). I live in the eastern U.S. I want the printer to come ON at 9 AM, New York time and go OFF at 10 PM New York time. It was not possible. I have given up. (2) I have been using the HP Smart app for printing and scanning documents foryears with the All-in-one 8625 printer which was very good, but failed recently. Now, with the 8135, every time I start the HP Smart, it asks for the printer PIN (although it was required at the initial set up only). Strangely, it gives an error whaen the correct PIN is entered. So, I ignore it by pushing the CANCEL button. (3) The printer crashes sometimes, and does not respond. The only way to restart is PowerOFF/Power ON. I have not tested it extensively, because we do not print/scan documents every day.

It will fax out, scan and print. From the HP Smart app. If your away, you can still send what you need printed to the printer and pick it up when at home. All this and it even comes with a few months of HP Instant Ink. Therefore, your purchase will include ink subscription for several months, giving you enough time to enjoy all this printer can do. It’s a great printer but one caveat is that although it does not lose WiFi connection , it can get confused at times and is very random . A call to tech support which is great can remedy the problem

This was a bit disappointing because we wanted to print wirelessly from our tablets. We will attempt to connect wirelessly again. Connected with the cord, we were able to print, scan and copy successfully. The finished printed papers were colorful and clear. Printer and copying were easy to complete. Scanning was a bit more complicated. Scanning o e sided was simple but doing double sided was more involved. Would be easier to not have to flip the paper over. This printer overall does a nice job for the price.

The setup process was relatively straightforward, though I did encounter a few hiccups with the Wi-Fi connection initially. Once I got it up and running, I found the print quality to be quite good for both text documents and color prints. One of the standout features for me has been the automatic document feeder, which has saved me a lot of time when scanning multi-page documents. However, I was a bit disappointed to find that it doesn't support duplex scanning, which would have been a nice addition for a printer in this price range. The printer's speed is decent, but not exceptional. I've noticed it takes a bit longer to initialize and start printing than I'd like, especially when I'm in a rush to get something done. That said, once it gets going, it handles most jobs efficiently. I appreciate the variety of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and USB. It makes life a lot simpler. I also appreciate being able to fax. It’s not something I do every day but it definitely comes in handy. I only print a few things weekly, like my pay stubs and my golf game sheet. I was able to link to the printer through my IPhone or my IPad qyickky and without any difficulties. I am not to sure about the HP Instant Ink though. I think it may be worth it if you do a lot if printing. We seemed to go through the ink that came with the printer pretty fast and we normally print around 50 pages in a month. So for us it is not a very good deal, and there is always a "catch" with "free" offers. If you cancel the subscription you are unable to use any "free ink" that HP sent you for the printer. All in all, the printer is a nice printer and gets the job done and I would recommend ths printer.

I then put it in my home office and no problem working. I absolutely love it. It prints, scans and faxes all in one and so easily. It has everything I need including copy, scan, print, and fax. All operation modes work efficiently with excellent quality outputs. It came with 1 full year instant ink supply.

Easy to connect to and navigate. It is straight forward and gets the job done. Does take up a little amount of space, though.

    That will depend on the OS of the laptop. The current printer models are compatible with Windows 10 and 11. Microsoft is scheduled to end Windows 10 support in October. Thank you for your interest.

    Does this printer print directly onto CD DISCS?

    Thank you for your interest in the HP OfficeJet Pro 8135e. That unit does not have the capability to print directly on a disc. You could use sticky label or something that can be imprinted on from heat transfer paper.

    The OfficeJet Pro 8135e comes with a 1-year limited manufacturer's warranty. If you opt-in for HP+ during the setup, HP+ is a support service for the printer at no cost, you can an extra year free and access to HP+ Support.     Can a 950 & 951 inkjet cartridge be used in this printer?

    Hello. Thanks for your question. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8135e Printer uses the HP 923 or 923e ink cartridges: black, magenta, yellow, and cyan. The current HP printers do not use the HP 950 and 951 ink cartridges.
