The downside is that the ink cartridges, after 6 months are $25 more than the printer hardware cost, and will not let you use 3rd party ink cartridges, which are much less expensive.

The HP Smart app on my laptop cannot connect to my printer. I followed the start-up instructions, tried both WiFi and USB cable, I have a patchwork way of printing and scanning without using the HP Smart app on my laptop which worked with a previous HP printer.

    I have an HP Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus. I guess you would say it's all in one -- prints, scans, copy. I'm thinking of purchasing the HP Office Jet 8015e All in one printer.at $159.99 Is this comparable to what I have?

    The 8015e does not have fax capability or a USB port for scanning to or printing from whereas the 8600 Plus did. If a fax is not needed then the 8015e is a good replacement. If you need an OfficeJet printer with double-sided scanning and a USB port to scan to and print from, then the 9015e is recommended.
