2025 17” laptop
My last several laptops have all been HP’s. I like the keyboard and the screen and the overall configuration of the keys. I also like 17 inch monitors because it is easier for me to see larger text and it will fit on the screen better. I have bought them lots of different ways some through Sam’s Club some through other box stores And several online through HP. I like to be able to configure my device exactly the way I like as far as a memory hard drive and processor are concerned. I ordered my newest laptop in May after I noticed a significant discount on configurations that I had priced several months earlier. It took some time for it to be delivered as it came from Thailand, but it was delivered on time according to their schedule and in good condition, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it had a fingerprint reader built in which I would have ordered, had there been an option for that but there was not. I am not an HP employee, I press the button and now I cannot turn it off.

Cons and Pros for HP 17" Laptop
Needs more usb ports. Tracking pad causes a goid deal of crazy actoons on screen. Not HP's fault, but Windows 11 is poor campared to Windows 10 which was poor compared to ...ad nausium. Good screen size. Good keyboard.

No touch screen
I "searched" 17" laptop with touch screen and lighted keyboard. I did not get the touch screen and have been unable to verify if it was in the order. Who orders a laptop without a touch screen???
Every attempt to reach a person or find an invoice has led to a circle leading nowhere. Is it possible to turn on? I can't find out.
I didn't know customer service could get worse

Fairly Satisfied
Laptop works as expected although there is a power feedback in the Audio and Video which becomes more noticeable when the cooling fan kicks in. Most likely a result of a cold solder in the fan mounting.

WHAT HAPPENED???
holyu crap is there a LOT of bloatware on your systems an the preinstalled antivirus is a virus itself that is difficult to remove. WHY DO THAT??? ABSOLUTELY THE WORST personal laptop system i've ever bought, which is really sad because I've had so much faith in HP IN YEARS PAST! So I'm wondering Why did this happen? I've known HP to be a marquee name brand that businesses and people talk about as easily the best, but I'm disapointed and i probably won't buy your brand again. I would suggest leaving out all the sales crap off your systems. I wasted an hour getting rid of it all. I was so frustrated that I seriously considered a complete erase ands format and make clean install. I haven't done so yet, but I still might.

Easy to set up and use. All my information from my last HP laptop transferred over quickly. I like the larger screen and the clean look of the keyboard.

Bit Blocker
Nice computer however it gave me problems right from the start. That was because the bit blocker turned on automatically when I was not using the computer and locked me out of my system. Even though I found the codes to disable it they did not work. Eventually I contacted HP and they had to reformat the hard drive and reload everything. They also turned off bit blocker for me. Then I had problems reloading McAfee which I had paid for. You should give new purchases the choice of using bit blocker or not.

Reliable Performance with a Minor Setup Concern
The HP Laptop 17t-cn300 has proven to be an excellent device with no major issues as of the date of this review. Its overall performance has been reliable, making it a solid choice for professional use. However, one aspect that requires attention is the Microsoft Word program that was purchased as an additional feature.
Upon saving documents, I discovered that Word was preset to automatically store files in OneDrive, rather than in local storage. Since there was no prior information provided about this setting, locating saved files became challenging. After some troubleshooting, I realized my documents were stored in the cloud rather than in the Documents folder on my laptop. As someone who prefers keeping files locally, I had to take additional steps—including deleting OneDrive—to prevent automatic cloud storage.
Apart from this Word storage issue, the initial setup was smooth and hassle-free. As a certified photo-video journalist, blogger, and Google reviewer, I rely on my HP laptop and desktop for critical tasks, and this device has met my expectations well.
Overall, despite the minor inconvenience with OneDrive settings, this has been a great purchase with dependable performance. Users who prefer local file storage may want to adjust settings or seek guidance during setup to avoid similar issues.

Cons about HP Laptop 17
I purchased this laptop because it was pretty much the same as the previous one that I purchased some time ago. However, I do not like the side where the power cord is on which is on the right side and I do not like where the power on and off button is which is located in the middle of the upper keyboard. I much rather have a free sitting button where I can find it without having to look for it.

Not for multiple monitor use
This laptop falls fall short of HP’s normal consideration of customer needs. It will not work with a dock and has only one monitor port. The usb port will not work with monitors either (utilizing appropriate plug and play converter).

I was these items were still included as in my previous Hp Laptop
I really like my new laptop, but I miss the lighted keyboard which was on my old HP 17" Envoy. Also wish it still had a CD player like my previous model. Basically, it is adequate for my needs, but I miss the above mentioned features.

HP Laptop for Our Business
The laptop was exactly matched to the specifications that I gave to the HP rep online when I was ordering it. She took the time to review our needs and give me several different options in the price range that we were working with. The laptop was just what we had asked for and is quick and works great with our camera system

User friendly and great for home and office. It’s perfect for streaming, photos and music.
My computer is very capable of preforming all the tasks I need for home office and online music streaming and using iTunes. I frequently use Word and Excel for home office documents to keep up with personal data. The 16gb of operating memory is sufficient a long with the 1TB of storage. I only wish that the speakers were better and louder.

Good options for price point.
Purchased upgraded replacement for 12yo HP laptop that had been a workhorse.
PROS: Excellent viewing size screen, crisp graphics, reasonable customizing options for this price point, excellent price point for options available. Consistent reliability has been my experience with HP.
CONS: Arrives with unremovable bloatware in Windows 11, AND unwanted HP useless items consuming the space you paid for. Keys feel too light/cheap. Hinge feels weak, opens and closes with some instability. The upper 17" screen is excellent, but lower keyboard area is awkwardly positioned in the large lower area being pushed up to the base of the hinge---reaching to type is then oddly far forward.
