The HP 17t-cn300 is a decent example and is exactly what I needed and expected. I got the plain black plastic which is not pretty but you can upgrade the cover and color for additional cost. It comes with decent RAM and SSD storage, I opted to upgrade both for minimal cost, am happy with both. I like the Intel Core i5 as a medium priced option and good performance. It is a lightweight laptop but that is achieved by eliminating optical drives and limiting the number of ports. Apparently that is industry standard now as I checked out other product lines also. None come with ethernet port or an abundance of USB, etc. Be aware that you will need to purchase an adapter if you need more port space, available on a number of retail sites offering a range of prices & configurations. Software is standard, I opted to purchase MS Office 24 rather than Office 365, don't need all the extra MS frills or expense. My only complaint is what seems to me to be low duration battery charge but there is a relatively low charge time. Overall, I am happy with the purchase at the sale price. A nice, no frills unit from a reliable manufacturer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Murphytaters from Lightweight pretty fast machine. Order from HP website on cyber Monday sale. The price was good. I had it built my way, so it took a couple weeks to get it, but no big deal. Pretty fast. Good graphics. No lighted keyboard, but I knew that when I ordered and that's okay. It is lighter than my old Dell. Battery life is very good. I don't game and mainly use it for spreadsheets and Lightburn. I would definitely buy again.

Incorporating new software and programs from old HP to new HP with saved passwords made transition seamless. Video quality is good. Upload timer regardless of size is slow compared to old HP. File transfer almost twice as fast scanning.

Is HP Laptop 17t-cn300, 17.3" good for light gaming on Roblox? I'm thinking of buying my son a laptop for Christmas and this laptop sounds like a nice and large budget laptop.

For any software, you will want to check the publisher's website for the system requirements to make sure it meets the requirements for the setting you would like to use with that software. Updates can change those requirements which can prevent you from using your preferred settings or stop it from working with your device. With online software, your internet connection will also impact how well it will run. Roblox will currently run on this device.
