It's fine but glitchy.
These don't seem to be very stable. I have them in my office and my third monitor has never worked properly with it. I've had others that just fail to connect to a laptop until we've rebooted the laptop 3+ times. The 1 year warranty is pretty limiting when you have issues like this.

Great docking station, all the features I need and works flawlessly so far.
I replaced a desktop PC that I built in 2010 because it would not support Windows 11. I went with a laptop to have with me when I travel and wanted to continue using my dual displays and wired network connection and sound system in my home office. This was very easy to install, update and configure and has all the features I needed.

The HP USB-C Dock G5 is amazing. I'm able to plug all my accessories (2 external drives, 1 exterior monitor, my ethernet cable, and my iPhone) to support my HP laptop computer. Makes working on my laptop a breeze. I would definitely recommend this Dock.

I have just purchased a HP Omen 16-b0009na, what is the best docking station as I want o use two additional monitor to extend my desktop. The monitors that I have are currently HDMI input.
Thank you for your question! Most of the current HP Docks will be good for this. However, HP docks come with one HDMI output with two DisplayPort outputs. A DisplayPort to HDMI adapter will be needed to display your HP Omen on two additional monitors.

This HP Dock is compatible with HP PCs with an available USB type-C™ port. Laptops must be able to support USB-C™ power, video, data, and/or Thunderbolt™ industry standards. Without knowing the exact model number of the HP ZBook it is impossible to give a 100% positive answer. However, if there is a symbol of a lightning bolt (Thunderbolt 3) next to the USB-C port on your laptop, then you can use this port to charge and the Dock will charge your laptop.

If I am understanding correctly, the power that goes into this dock also powers the laptop via the USB C plug that comes out of the front of this device? OR do you still need to use your laptop's power cord to the computer directly?
It will depend on the laptop that you have the HP USB-C Dock G5 for business (5TW10AA) connected to. This one supports up to 100W. You also want to make sure that your laptop has a USB-C port with power delivery and DisplayPort Alt. Thank you for your question.

If you don't have a legacy model PC to use the Dock the HP USB-C G5 Dock is your best choice. However, if you do have a legacy model then the HP USB-C/A Universal Dock G2 is your best choice.

I used this G5 station with my Elite book and 2 monitors. I have just changed to a Zbook15, I was using an HDMI and a DisplayPort cable. Now when I plug in the Z book, it does get power and usb devices plugged into docking station connect except monitors.
