Great with Caveats for Linux
This dock works exceptionally well with the Ubuntu OS that came pre-loaded with my HP Zbook Power 16 G11 A. The port density is exceptional, it’s got enough juice to charge the laptop, and the built in Ethernet port is nice if I want to use two Ethernet ports at once. The one caveat however, is that Ubuntu constantly throws a PCIe Data-Link error for the thunderbolt connection to the laptop. While it isn’t specifically affecting the laptop in a negative way, it fills up the DMESG log and there is no way to seemingly correct the issue.
Since HP refuses to support an OS they preload, you either have to figure it out yourself or use the Ubuntu forums. While I am Linux savvy, this issue has so far eluded me. HP, if you are going to advertise an OS for your devices, you need to provide at least some level of minimal support with your own equipment.

Great organizing tool
Laptops are port challenged. Your best fix is this HP dock. Ports for video, usb C and usb 2 or 3, cat 6 and more, and it makes no noise. Bravo!

Small cube with plenty of ports
This is the 120W smaller cousin to the 280W docking station. Despite the lower power output, it can handle all the basic needs of a small business work station setup. Excluding the type-C cable connection from the docking station to the PC, it has 11 various ports: 4-USB type-A super speed (2 with charging), 3-USB 3.0 type-C (1-standard type-C, 1-type-C Thunderbolt 4, 1-type-C+DisplayPort), 2-DisplayPort, 1-HDMI , 1 ethernet. This allows you to hook up at least 2 monitors [max up to 4 depending on the PC]. This cube-like docking station has a small footprint and can handle most of your basic connection needs.,

Great dock for dual 4K monitors
Great dock for 2 4K monitors. I am using an HP Elitebook along with a 4K BenQ and an LG 4K. Both are running at the 4K resolution as is the Elitebook. No problems. I’m not seeing any flickering at all. Consistent connection all around.

Hello when I move my docking station my monitors go to sleep and take days to wake up. I try unplugging and plugging back in, turning off then back on but those have not worked. Any suggestions?

The HP Thunderbolt 120W provides 100W of charging power whereas the 280W will provide up to 230W on HP laptops. This Dock and the 280W version will support up to four external screens.

I have purchased this product to work with duel monitors with my HP 15 Laptop PC 15-e3000. It does not work. When i called support they eventually sent me to sales to find the one that my pc works with and was then told that this one would work.
Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, the HP Laptop PC 15-e3000 does not feature a USB-C with Display Alt-Mode functionality. A laptop must have this in order to be compatible with dual external displays. The HP USB-C/A Universal Dock G2 is an option but will still only be compatible with a single external display.

However, if your laptop has a Thunderbolt Port and uses a 90W or less AC adapter to charge then this HP Thunderbolt Dock 120W G4 is the Dock for your HP PC. If you use more than a 90W AC adapter then the 280W Thunderbolt Dock is needed. If you have a USB-C port with DisplayPort and PowerDelivery then the USB-C G5 Essential Dock is recommended.
