Easy Peasy
LEMON SQUEEZY!
I am not going to lie the sheer size of this printer made me hesitant to set it up. I was definitely intimidated. But when I tell you it took less than ten minutes to set up I'm not exaggerating.
It does have a fairly large foot print but that's to be expected when looking at this type of machine. It is not a standard home office printer, it is meant for heavy duty jobs. However it looks so beautiful in my makeshift home office right now. Overall the printer was a breeze to set up we took it out of the box, plugged it in, took off the tape and cardboard and that was it for hardware. Then I downloaded the app and followed the steps. It was maybe 5 steps total to put in paper, the ink cartridges, and then connect to the wifi. I didn't even need my password. The paper comes out smoothly and quickly, much quicker than my old printer. The quality of the copies is great. I have zero complaints! It wasn't even as loud as my old printer. Granted my old printer is still great, I'll keep it at work. This one even came with a free trial of instant ink. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase and can't wait to see how it does with larger jobs, over 20 pages.

Big, sleek, nice printer!
I’m impressed! The printer box had a little dent in one corner, but it was so well packed that there was nothing to worry about. I was impressed at size of the printer itself. It looks as though it’s going to last several years. Set up was easy and the instructions were straightforward.
The HP Smart app was already installed on my HP desktop, so connecting the printer to it was seamless, except for the fact that I had to reconnect it a handful of times before it finally “took”.
I like the fact that it was relatively quick to print four (4) 26-page documents containing some full-colored pages without even as much as a hiccup. The documents turned out great, there was no bleeding of colors, and there were no paper jams.
The other feature I like is the touchpad flips out at a perfect angle for viewing and using.

This is Legit!
Hello all! This printer replaced another HP 8600 that worked very well for 5+ years. Unboxing was a breeze, especially with how the plastic that its wrapped in has handles so it's easy to remove from the box. Once I unpacked it, plugged it in, installed ink, paper and the printer was ready for setup. My computer has HP Smart software so the printer was found on my network without any fumbling around in settings. Easy breezy and was able to start printing right away. It's a bigger footprint because it is wider than your average printer which my daughter will love because her art will fit on the glass. Prints fast too! Nice size touch screen as well. All in all, I will be using this regularly when i have to print for my real estate profession.

Its definately a step up. HP lookin more High Tech
I've had many HP Printers over the last years. I decided to try their new 9730e Printer. Taking it out of the package was great. It was definitely secure and I was so impressed with the look of it I couldn't wait to hook it up. The initial setup takes a little bit with getting it registered on your network, doing a software update but once it was set it decided to give it a whirl. Compare to many of my older printers it definitely takes the printing quality to the next level. Pictures are clearer. Brochures and signs look much more professional.
Love that it can take any size paper up to 11x17. Love the quality, the HP Ink and paper program are great as well. No longer have to stock in extra cartridges, they send them to you and it does get there in time. The paper they send you is really high quality too.
As for a few cons, it does seem to go off-line with my computer quite a bit the first 3 days. Not sure if it was still trying to figure itself out but it seemed to stop for now. The only other larger downside for me is that there are two paper trays 1 and 2. So you can have letter and anything else in the other one. But if you want to print 2 pages of card stock or print some 4x6 photos, you have to take all the paper out of one tray and put in what you want, then you have to tell the printer what paper is in that tray or it will error, same again when your done. Really wish they had put a flip down tray to stick things in I think it was originally considered "Tray 1". But I think i'll keep my other printer around for those times I need to print weird sizes and definately keep this printer as my primary. The quality is amazing for anything I have ever seen.

A Big Printer for the Home Office
This is a big printer. If you need an office-like printer for your work-from-home office, this is the printer for you. I was looking for a printer that had an ethernet port that would allow me to connect the printer directly to my router. Very few printers seem to offer this type of feature. The HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e meets this requirement for a printer to join my home office setup. This is a great printer and with the HP Instant Ink program, you never worry about running out of ink at the worst time.

A game changer for small businesses
I purchased the the 9730 E model for my home business and I was amazed from the very beginning!
It weighs approximately 50 pounds and is what I would call a luxury model for the price. My biggest worry was with the WiFi connectivity as my old printer wouldn’t work properly. The 9730e was extremely easy to set up and operate for someone like me who isn’t incredibly tech savvy. The instructions were easy to understand and I was able to complete initial setup in about 30 minutes.
The touch screen is super simple to understand and accomplish tasks without having to hit a lot of buttons which is refreshing. It’s quiet and overall not super bulky for a luxury business printer. The printing process produces a phenomenal end result with no bad bleeding or mixture of colors or lines. It doesn’t shake or make some sort of gosh awful sound while achieving tasks I request and isn’t a huge process to print something. Overall I’m pretty happy with this purchase and amazed hp has a printer capable of making life easier as a small business owner without hurting the pocket book to much.
Next thing is the ink, the ink refills are reasonably priced or you can sign up for the auto system thru hp which makes life so much easier!

Powerhouse of an upgrade
I needed to replace a 10 year old inkjet printer that just couldn't keep up any longer. I also needed to have WIFI, crisp flatbed scanning and borderless wide format capabilities for not only myself but my children's schoolwork. I just purchased a new HP laptop and decided to stay in the HP family. I bought the HP Officejet Pro 9730e wide format and am glad I did as it is a workhorse! It is heavy and requires two people to lift out of the packaging, but the printer comes encased in a bag with handles for easy lifting. Very ergonomic. Setup took less than 5 minutes. See my photo with a roll of paper towels just for size reference. It fit perfectly on my existing filing cabinet. WIFI setup to my home network was easy. It prints, copies and scans. Printing was quiet, fast and smooth. I am glad this printer has duplex printing. Scanned images look great when using the flat bed. scanner. The larger scanner is great for scanning in my kid's artwork! My children benefit the most as this printer supports wide format and borderless full color printing. It's perfect for school projects. Images look great on both glossy picture paper and matte sticker paper. During setup you can send a link to any cellphone so that each person can easily print wirelessly, using the HP Smart app. Even better is the ability to print from anywhere using the app. Get home and it's waiting in the print tray! A bonus is the 3 months of free ink via HP Instant Ink subscription. Great way to test out the program before subscribing.

HP 9730e - 11x17 in the Home Office
I went with the 9730e because my line of work includes reports that pop better with larger (11x17) figures. This is the best option out there for an all-in-one 11x17 capable color printer. HP quality in the printer market speaks for itself as we have 3 'home' units in use at my house (my wife and I have home offices) which I'd put against any professional grade high use office units. This was EASY to set up, even in a network where you have more than 1 printer connected. The directions are mainly web-based and easy to follow. If you need 11x17 capability in a scan/copy/print unit the 9730e is your go to machine.

Easy setup. Fast, clear printing. Love the app!
We were having issues with our old printer. I print a lot from my phone so I need a trustworthy Wi-Fi connection. It was hit or miss with our last printer. We also had a lot of missing pixels even after cleaning the printer head. The HP Office Jet Pro 9730e printer arrived in great condition. I loved how easy it was to set up. From unboxing to print the entire process was seamless. The app is very user friendly and the printer came with clear concise instructions. This printer is very fast and so far extremely reliable. We tried printing on both regular and photo paper. They both look great as you can see in my video. The ink cartridges were easy to load and I love the auto ink subscription. We are extremely happy with this printer so far and would recommend.

My 9730e Experience!
If I had to sum the HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e up in one word, that word would be AMAZING! My first impression was that this is a lot bigger than what I currently had and was accustomed to, but I quickly found out that it is well worth. Setup was very easy. The HP apps walks you through step by step and it only takes a short period of time. I was able to print my first documents within minutes of unboxing. The quality for both black and white and color printing is top tier! The printer is packed with features that are not only cool but very useful. One thing that really stands out for me is that when the paper is the paper tray is switched to a different size, the printer automatically detects it and asks you if you would like to proceed. This is game changing for me since I constantly must use non-standard size paper for printing and sometimes it would take several tries before getting it to print correct. I was able to get it on my 2nd try. I am very impressed with this printer and look forward to printing.

Great Printer
I am really loving this printer so far. Setup was very easy and straightforward.
I have been testing out various prints and services, and have been very pleased so far. I do a lot of archiving of old photographs and have already scanned about 500 photographs on it the past 2 days. I love the large format scanning bed, this is quite useful compared to the usual, much smaller scanning bed. The scans and copies come out great.
The document feeder for making scans/copies seems make the resulting document copy crooked more often than not when printing photos, however it did a good job with normal 8.5 x 11" documents. I may need to test this out further, and will update if I get different results down the road. If you want a perfect scan/copy, best to lift the lid and use the scanning bed instead of the feeder, though, when it comes to photo scanning and copying.
Though it is not advertised as a photo printer, I have tested out borderless prints on glossy, semigloss, and matte photograph paper in various sizes, like 4x6, 5x8, and 8x10, and the quality is very good! When printing on regular paper, phtos do look a bit grainy, but photo paper looks terrific. It seems to have a very acceptable color gamut. Printed documents look absolutely perfect on regular paper.
Finally, you get 3 months of free HP Instant Ink when you buy this printer. What's not to love about that? I love their Instant Ink service.

Choose a photo or design file
Tap the photo on the Preview screen

Not expecting a "fine art" print quality, but can this printer produce nice quality "semi art-like" quality print?
