I may have just been a bad printer cartridge. As an environmentalist, it is difficult for me to throw this printer away so for now I will just continue to use it and color given that the black and white cartridge that I had received through instant didnt work.

Right now, the printer is pulling extra sheets when it prints, a lot of jamming. That will mess up the paper sheet count. I don't know what is causing the jamming or when it pulls two or three sheets when only one is needed. It needs to be fixed!

Makes me wonder how long it was sitting in the warehouse before being delivered a few weeks ago. Having a devil of a time getting that straightened out. Another disappointment is that you have to manually pull out the paper catcher so the printed pages don’t fall on the floor. My much loved OfficeJet 4650 that this printer replaced had an automatic feature that opened the catcher as soon as the print button was activated. Other than these two issues I’m satisfied with the ease of operation of this printer.

My company cannot install HP Smart because of security concerns, so now I can't use my favorite printers. Other manufacturers seem to have followed the same idiotic path, so now my home office is no longer possible. Thanks for nothing, HP.

    I have an HP Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus. I guess you would say it's all in one -- prints, scans, copy. I'm thinking of purchasing the HP Office Jet 8015e All in one printer.at $159.99 Is this comparable to what I have?

    The 8015e does not have fax capability or a USB port for scanning to or printing from whereas the 8600 Plus did. If a fax is not needed then the 8015e is a good replacement. If you need an OfficeJet printer with double-sided scanning and a USB port to scan to and print from, then the 9015e is recommended.
