General opinion
Fan goes on too much. Sometimes when typing, it all of a sudden does not allow any keys to be entered. Not certain if I pressed the wrong key and if so what that is. I have to press the on/off switch to get it back to usable.

Cursor gone crazy
It didn't work properly. The cursor was uncontrollable, jumping all over the page making it impossible to use. Even a wired mouse did not help. The 17 in screen looks really nice and sharp. I hope the problem can be fixed or replaced with one that works.

Not too bad if you wanna do a few tweaks and upgrades. The price was good at time of purchase. I did upgrade NVMe to WD black 1T, upgraded memory to 16gigs. Added a HP 1T ssd, there wasn’t any hardware to connect it so I had to purchase a cable from E bay and engineer my own caddy cradle. There is very little support for adding stuff to a prebuilt machine.overall I’m happy with my purchase.

Just understand the laptop itself is not user serviceable. This means you either have to pay a local HP center to do your upgrade, or buy pry tools and void that warranty. I did the latter to this exact model and can validate 32GB 3200 speed DDR4 works perfectly fine.

I saw this laptop in the store and really like the design and material (the kind of recycled plastic). It really stands out from the competition. Too bad it isn't available with better specs, ie 2 ssd's and wide gamut screen. Maybe a suggestion ?
