Good for work, school, and play
This laptop contains recycled materials and ocean-bound plastic demonstrating HP’s commitment to sustainability while creating a beautiful and durable product. It has two USB-A, one USB-C, HDMI, and combo headphone/microphone jack. The 45W power brick is compact, charges quickly, and the battery can last over 11 hours. The laptop weighs 3.5 lbs and travels well.
Inside are a Quad-core AMD Ryzen 5 7520U 4.3GHz max APU, integrated Radeon 610M graphics, 8 GB RAM, and 256GB SSD. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed, and there’s 190 GB of free space out-of-the-box; for additional space, attach external drives via the USB 3.2 ports for up to 5GBps transfer rates. The computer is responsive when running applications, browsing the web, and performing typical computing tasks like word processing and spreadsheet work.
There’s a 2.1 MP webcam with built-in privacy cover and dual-array microphones for video conferencing on-the-go; its resolution is 1080p with good image quality and audio captured was clean without any background noise making it a good option for virtual meetings and live streaming.
The screen has narrow bezels and is not a touchscreen. It has a 60fps refresh rate at 1080p FHD resolution, but lagged in games with high graphics demands. Watching video content, however, was very smooth. Its anti-glare coating reduces reflections and improves visibility in bright light, though lowers contrast somewhat. The panel’s 6-bit color depth can look washed out and may not be accurate enough for artists and content creators, however, you can get around this by connecting an external display.
It is very quiet even with its CPU fan running. The small speakers on the bottom performed great, with clear and crisp sound, and the trackpad is large and responsive to taps, swipes, clicks, and multi-point gestures. The keyboard has soft, springy keys with large lettering, however, is not backlit.
Overall, this laptop is good for work, school, and casual use. The screen is large but still portable and lightweight. It boots quickly, has lots of battery life and decent processing power.

Lots of power for a little price
I purchased this HP laptop because after five-plus years of service, my personal laptop decided it was done unexpectedly. I was expecting this HP laptop to be a budget-friendly device that could do the basics. I was NOT expecting it to be able to handle absolutely everything I've thrown at it! Huge spreadsheets, 30+ chrome tabs, large word files, minor video editing - all have been no problem for the HP laptop.
When I purchase a laptop, my usual routine is to upgrade the RAM to maximize the power and extend the life of the device. I was disappointed when I saw that this only had 8MB of RAM and couldn't be upgraded. I'm pleased to say that this device has handled everything as well or better than devices with more memory and bigger processors. The Ryzen R5 processor and and Radeon graphics have performed absolutely brilliantly! 8GB has been more than enough for movies, gaming, and big spreadsheets.
The case feels solid and the screen is bright and vibrant. I like the compact power cord. The battery has lasted for hours at a time on a single charge and recharges itself quickly - perfect for when I had a short layover between two long flights. I keep telling my wife that I cannot believe how nice of a laptop this is for the price - under $500 at most retailers. For what we paid for my son's chromebook, this is a fully functioning laptop - and a really nice one at that!

Excellent Performance and Easy Setup
The HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC is an excellent addition to my home office. This product is amazing in quality and clear picture quality. I love that it has 8GB Memory as I do alof of home made projects and use Canva extensively for my librarian job. The high quality camera that comes along with it can be closed when it is not in usage. I can feel the quick processing when working on any project. This laptop is made from recycled plastics which is excellent for our environment. It contains the Windows 11 Home Operating System and is also easy to turn on at a press of a button. The setup was easy to do without excessive instructions. Overall I love the crispness of the laptop, the brilliant colors on the screen, the beautiful usage of memory and capabilities and the awesome use of programs that allow for me to create the best work possible. I highly recommend the HP 15.6 inch Laptop for reliability, value and performance.

Efficient entry level laptop for home and office u
HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fc0037wm was ready to set up and customizing was straightforward. Initial set up managed through your Microsoft account duplicates the settings and programs from my previous device. I still needed to add apps, extensions and other custom settings. Make sure to give yourself a couple hours to cycle through updates, install, etc.
It is a solid processor for home and office use and decent graphics for limited online and gaming. I would have preferred to be able to update/double the RAM but the system isn't designed for expanding.
The laptop does exactly what it is set up to do and does so efficiently and quickly for most home and office use.

Power Punch for the Price
The laptop is thin but a little bit on the heavy side. However, it is still very portable. The internet connectivity is stable and fast. The processing speed is great and allows for fast streaming and typing up papers a breeze. The sound qaulity of the speakers is good and works well when on a zoom call or streaming music.
The wide screen makes watching moves possible and battery life is ok, laptop lasted about 4 hours before needing another charge.
At this price point it is a pretty good buy as opposed to a netbook or chrome book.

LIGHTWEIGHT LAPTOP WITH LOTS OF SPEED.
This laptop has exceeded my expectations. The speed, the battery life, and how easy it is to add attachments make this a nice PC replacement. Setup time including the transfer of material off the old laptop took me 20 minutes. The AMD Ryzen 5 chip has as much speed as my older I7 chip, which was a surprise. Pages are opening fast, my Office 365 apps open without any lags, and the battery life seems to last forever. I had surgery and I was able to use this pc for a few days without recharging it. Two updates were sent by HP, and they updated without any errors. Super impressed by the current results.

Good Personal Laptop

Great Choice!
I just needed something to do lightweight work on (Excel spreadsheets, email surveys, minimal gaming) and this seems to fit the bill perfectly. My old laptop was OLD so I'm having to get used to the newer Windows, but this computer runs fast for what I'm using it for and I'm not having any issues. Very lightweight to boot! Only downside is no keyboard lighting, but that's my fault for not checking for that in the specs better.

Build is cheap
So I spent hundreds of dollars on this laptop, only to be given a device built with a flimsy plastic shell. It hasn't broken yet, but I think it is only a matter of time. Positives, it appears they built the software according to my specifications and the color is as I chose it. I will use it, but I just was very disappointed that the shell quality is a significant step down from my last laptop. "They don't make them like they used to."

Good Laptop with Bad Touchpad
Good laptop for the price. Touchpad is not very good. Hard to click, clicks register only 50% of the time. Taps works most of the time - approx 75% of the time. Key size and layout in the bottom left area is weird compared to others and makes it very hard to get used to - especially if you use other keyboards/laptops for work etc. Keys are loud when pressed. Everything else appears to be good, will update when warranty is over :)
