    Hello. Thanks for your question. This HP Envy Inspire 7255e printer uses WiFi technology. If you want a direct connection. We recommend using WiFi Direct. Wireless Direct (WiFi Direct) allows you to directly connect to a printer from a mobile device or computer without the need for internet access or a wireless network. You would connect to the printer’s wireless direct signal just like you would connect to a wireless network. The printer would have a unique name in your wireless connections, i.e. Direct-04-Printer.     Thank you for your question! It is not clear what is meant by "keep up"? If it was a connection problem this HP printer is a dual-band self-healing wi-fi printer. If the printer loses the connection it can fix itself and re-connect. If the 5Ghz signal is dropping in and out you may need to use the 2.4 GHz band. The 5GHz is faster but the connection range is less and if your printer is dropping the signal that could be why. If this does not answer the question, please clarify what is meant, resubmit, and the question will be answered as quickly as possible.

    Thank you for your interest in the ENVY Inspire 7255e. There is a single cartridge mode that you can use. It is recommended to use both cartridges. It does have a USB-B 2.0 port and would work with the USB-A to USB-B 2.0 cable used with the older units.

    Hello Dave and thank you for your question! The HP Envy Inspire 7255e will support paper up to 80lb. For frequent usage of paper of that thickness or thicker the HP OfficeJet 9015e is recommended. It is designed for heavier cardstocks up to 120lb paper weight.
