This printer is intended to work only with cartridges that have new or reused HP electronic circuitry, and it uses dynamic security measures to block cartridges using modified or non-HP circuitry. Periodic firmware updates will maintain the effectiveness of these measures and block cartridges that previously worked. Hi, I bought this printer 7255e some time ago and noticed when I open the lid or cover that the san light under the glass is always on, flashing Purplish sometime greenish or white light, is this normal ? Also the printing is not always at best, smudging
