Real easy to use.
I am very pleased with this 651 smart printer. Normally I have to have my husband set them up. This one, I was able to do everything by myself. The ink was easy to fill. The print heads popped right in. The app was quick to download amd configure. I was even able to send my husband the link to download so he could print too! I trusted it with regular printer paper and even photo paper. It printed out photos with ease. The regular printing was quick and flawless. Scanning was a breeze. I honestly have no complaints. This printer has made me completely change my mind about this brand. I hadn't used this brand in years. Now, I am in love. A great new addition to our home.

Neat Concept, Very Loud
The printer was easy enough to set up. I believe the power cord I received has a short in it due to being bent in packaging. The printer kept turning off mid set up and turns off if I move it slightly.
The ink tanks in the printer are a really nice idea. You can see how much ink is left in each tank with a quick glance. In theory the tanks are easy to refill. However the refill bottles were very hard to squeeze and my hands were in pain by the time I was finished filling all four tanks.
The refill ink did not ask fit into the tanks, and I could not close the refills so I ended up throwing away some of the ink. I would prefer a reclosable refill bottles.
The scanner makes very loud clunking noises.
The print quality is very nice.

HP Smart Tank 651
Very easy setup. WiFi works great and was able to connect right away. Filling up the ink tanks was super easy and not messy. Print quality is good. Does take longer to print some color prints but not an issue for me. I love that I you can copy, scan and fax. Should be able to print thousands of pages without having to refill ink. Would recommend as a good quality at home printer.

A Compact, Easy to Use Printer!
This HP Smart Tank 651 is pretty compact and is easy to set up. Despite English not being my first language, I was able to easily navigate the directions and set it up by myself with no assistance from my daughters. The quality is very good and when printing in color, the colors are vibrant! In connecting to computers, it is also very easy to do and my youngest who has intellectual disability was able to connect it herself to use! The usage of ink cartridges is efficient and I think I chose a great product for my family to use!

I purchased the HP Smart Tank Plus 651. This is one great printer! The Smart Tank 651 prints, scans, copies and faxes. This printer fulfilled all of my print requirements making it so convenient. Easy to set up and use.
After receiving my HP Smart Tank 651, I was so nervous! I have never had a tank printer and worried I would spill ink all over. Just the opposite. It was so easy to install the ink. Just remove the top and press it down on the ink tank for that color. No mess. That is a huge plus in my book. The set up was also very easy. HP Smart was easy to install and downloaded the driver. The printer itself has a small screen that you are able to set up your internet on and it maintains it. The printer and HP Smart work together, even if there are problems. It does print slower than most printers but once you see the vibrant colors that are on your paper, you don't even worry about the speed of printing. The print heads were also easy to install. The instructions had step by step and pictures so you knew exactly where to put the inks or print heads. My only eh was where the paper is stored. Myself, I would love to load it beneath and laying flat but that was not the case. it is behind the printer but still maintains being flat. That is a plus. I have printed so much lately, from coloring pages to pictures. Stickers and items for my children. Not once did it lose the vivid color nor did it bleed. That was another worry with a smart tank. HP Smart Tank 651 is definitely worth the money and time. I would recommend it to anyone.

A Printer That Just Gets Me!
The HP Smart Tank Plus 651 is hands down one of the best printers I've ever owned! Right out of the box I was impressed with how lightweight it is - no more back-breaking effort to get it out of the box because it is in a bag WITH handles. This was so convenient! Speaking of setup, it was ridiculously easy! I had it up and running within minutes, no tech headaches required.
One of my favorite features is the spill-free, easy-to-fill ink tanks! Not only are they super convenient but they also in my opinion save me money on printing costs because I can use whatever ink I prefer. More prints, less money? Yes, I'm here for it!
The wireless printing and scanning make my life so much easier. Whether I'm on my laptop, desktop or mobile phone (from anywhere, not just home) I can print using the HP Smart App.
Another huge win for me is that it scans legal sized documents with ease. My previous two printers did not have that ability which was a pain.
If you're looking for a reliable, efficient and cost-effective printing option, this one's a winner. Fast, smooth and super smart. I couldn't ask for a better home printer.

Best printer I've ever had
This hp smart tank 651 printer is the best printer I've ever had. The colors are so bright and beautiful. It prints fast with great quality. The set up was extremely fast and it was simple to connect to wifi. Using the app is easy to learn and has many options including copy, scan and fax. Filling the ink was extremely satisfying! No mess at all using the ink bottles. I hated having to shell out a lot of money every couple months on ink cartridges for my old printer. I am so pleased with this printer. Way to go HP. A Revelation in Printing
Having been used to both laser and ink-jet printers for many years, I had been more focused on laser printers as a better option - both in terms of their capacity to print per page and a lot of other features that I needed such as automated duplexing. With this HP Smart Tank printer, that argument has been turned up on its head.
The print quality is superb without any issues that plagued previous inket printers with the nozzles, the automatic paper feeder for scanning and copying pages were seamless! Not to mention the cost per ink was the main selling point for this little small printer, coming in a round $30 for a refill. Portable, easy to place in a small or large room and wireless printing makes this a no-brainer for those looking to add a little workhorse to their home office

No More Cartriges
I've been using other printer brands for the past few years, but a friend recently recommended the HP Smart Tank 651, especially since we do a lot of printing and were spending a fortune on cartridges. I decided to give it a try, and I’m glad I did!
Setup was a breeze,it took just a few minutes, and the instructions were clear and well-organized. It’s evident that HP put a lot of effort into making the installation process as simple as possible for users. One of the best surprises was that the printer , comes with ink included in the box! I initially thought I’d need to purchase ink separately, but everything was already there, ready to go.
When it comes to performance, this printer exceeded my expectations. I printed some photos, and the quality was fantastic. It also handles large document prints quickly and efficiently. No more worrying about running out of ink constantly!
Overall, I highly recommend the HP Smart Tank 651 to anyone looking for an efficient and cost-effective printer. Finally, a solution that makes printing easier and more affordable!

Easy to set up, good print quality
Having moved from an all-in-one printer that used cartridges I was hoping to find some cost savings on the refillable well type. The HP smart tank all-in-one does copies, scans, and prints. This printer was super easy to set up with the step by step guide. I was able to start using it within 15 minutes. The print quality was crisp. I was able to add the app to both my laptop and phone easily. Now I can print from both wirelessly. It comes with up to 2 years worth of ink. If I even get half that I'll be doing better than my older printer. The ink fill was easy and mess free

i just received my hp smart tank 651 a week ago and have been using it since i got it. it is the best printer that i have ever had. the quality of the print is amazing. i love to portability of the printer. you can easily move it to whatever location in your house you want with ease. i am saving so much money on ink. Great job HP... love your products...

I just got my new HP Smart Tank 651 and I will never buy another printer. This printer prints colors so bold and beautiful. I printed out at least 10 prints that I have been waiting to print for when I received a new printer.

Quality color printing with ease
The HP Smart Tank 651 is a great printer if you are after small format, high quality color imaging without special software or an expensive printing set up. First impression, this printer is light, very easy to pick up and move around although be aware once the ink tanks are full the unit needs to stay level if it's moved.
Second it's a slick modern looking design that fits anywhere.
The printer is packed very well with all elements protected and sealed. The guidebook is clear and very visual rather than tons of text and the HP app also guides you set by set.
Set up is fairly easy, but remember you're filling ink tanks and inserting print heads so it's not just switch it on and go. The ink refill bottles are very well designed and don't drip or spill, the bottle fill the printer up and are supposed to last for 2 years under normal use which is amazing, all the other ink jets I've worked with needed refill every month or so! Thank You HP! Inserting the print heads should be done in good strong lighting and with the printer sitting at or about eye level because you have to reach into the unit and it can be be a little fiddly and hard to see.
The heads needs to inserted firmly but gently to be placed all the way into the print assembly. Once that's done you can use the HP app to guide you with the final setup steps, it prints a calibration page that you then scan, which is a neat way to get the printing heads perfectly aligned. Getting the printer onto my network was a breeze. The app allows you to print from your phone and send a simple link to other devices to set up the printer for them. Super cool and worked perfectly on apple, iOS, Android and PC.
I quickly did a test print from my phone of a color photo from a recent skiing holiday and the quality even on normal copy paper was impressive and the print job covering a full US Letter sized page was fast.
The small LCD screen on the printer gives you good prompts and has video guides for most functions which again is very cool feature. Overall the printer and the app are a well thought out system that allows you to get quality printing done quickly and easily. The HP app has editing options for brightness, contrast black level etc right there so you could tweak the print job before hitting print. The printer also scans, has a doc feeder in the lid so it covers most jobs for a home , small office or photographer/digital artist.
HP has done a stellar job in providing a simple complete printing system.

A New Way Forward Without Cartridges!
I can’t say enough good things about the HP Smart Tank 651! The unboxing and setup of the printer was incredibly easy and took all of maybe 15 minutes from unboxing to printing. The thing I liked the most was that there are no ink cartridges to have to fumble with or wonder when you will be out of ink. The clear ink reservoir shows you how much ink you have remaining, and it’s a breeze to fill it up. It connected to my WiFi in a snap, and I was printing documents in no time. The print quality is fantastic, delivering sharp text and vibrant colors, whether printing documents or photos. It also has a handy mobile printing feature, making it easy to print directly from my phone. Plus, the ink bottles last a long time, saving money compared to traditional cartridges. Overall, it’s a reliable, cost-effective printer that’s perfect for home or office use!

HP Smart Tank Plus 651 Wireless All-in-One Review
Was excited about the new printer I bought. Unpacked it, installed it, and then tried out several printing jobs and was a little disappointed with the printer. First, it only holds 30-35 sheets of paper in the tray located in the back of the printer. When doing large print jobs (like my tax returns), it usually takes 40-50 sheets. Second, the HP Smart Tank Plus 651 printer does not have duplexing capability, so you can't print double sided. Third, the printing speed of the Smart Tank Plus printer is slow compared to my Officejet Pro 8610. For those reasons, I returned the HP Smart Tank Plus 651 printer back to HP and will continue to use my HP Officejet Pro 8610.

651 Reasons - Well Almost
The Smart Tank Plus 651 gives excellent quality print. My only concern is the back paper feeder. I would like to have it front loaded. I also would like to have the duplex feature as well. The 820 series did have that feature. Once the printing starts it is very fast.

It is easy to use. It connects to your phone easily. However, the setup process is a challenge. Make sure you have a stable internet connection. Other than that, I would recommend this product.

Solid small MFD
Purchased the printer because I wanted to get away from the expensive laser toner and ink jet cartridge game. Set up was easy, to include filling the ink tanks. Print quality is excellent and air printing from my iPhone is a breeze.
We have been using the printer for a couple of months now and the only complaint we have is about the 2-sided printing. I probably didn’t read the specs correctly, but I assumed it automatically prints 2-sided documents like the Brother laser MFD it replaced. It doesn’t. You have to basically print one side and then manually turn the page over to print the other side.
I would recommend this printer for a home or small home office environment where you don’t print a lot of multi-page documents due to the lack of auto-duplexing.

Don’t waste your money on this printer
I am disappointed in this printer. The documentation does not clearly point out that the paper feed is not in the usual place in the bottom front of the printer, but in a hidden flap on the rear. After days of attempting to set up the printer, I accomplished the set up and a paper jam occurred. In attempting to clear the jam, the two cartridges (yes, in addition to the ink tanks, there are two cartridges) became disabled, making the printer inoperable. I attempted to buy new replacements at Staples. They didn’t know that they existed. The HP store on line didnt carry them. I ordered them from Amazon with a promised date of a month. I was so worn out from the problems, I returned the printer to HP and purchased a non tank printer from HP that was easily set up and running in less than an hour.

Print nicely
We got this a couple weeks ago and it prints nice. The only thing so far I do not like is the ink cartridge inside keep giving an error message check cartridge or replace, we are tired of that. The cartridge is me so not sure why yet. It’s not fast printing but so far good picture quality!

All-around good printer with great features
Sensitive to being moved or movement. Will give error messages that are easily corrected by opening and closing the outside access door which seems to reset the print head.

Awesome printer for the first 100 pages
After 100 pages printed at tax time it suddenly sucked the entire feed of paper in and now just says theres a paper jam if I put more than 1 piece of paper in.

I need a printer that does NOT scale the image when printing. I print sewing patterns. If scaling resizes the image, pattern pieces will be inaccurate. They need to print in the actual size, unaltered. Does HP Smart Tank 651 auto-scale images or not?

problems with print spooler service which won't work. printer won't operate and continue getting message about spooler service not working. restarting the machine doesn't correct the problem.
