such a breeze
It's been a long time since i set up a printer and this one was a breeze to set up and get printing! The qr code made it super easy and the ink tanks were easy to fill and the print heads were easy to install! I love that refilling them are going to be a breeze and i can print from any where! I definitely recommend this one to anyone looking for a good all in one printer copier. I chose to sue mine to print coloring pages for my first test prints and the quality was so great that I thought the pages came from an actual coloring book. The all-in-one functions are great as well, as i was able to scan and email a document that I needed for work.

Best Tank printer around
We are a homeschool family and I do a lot of printing and copying for my kids to do their work. This HP Smart Tank has been amazing. I have printed a ton of pages and still have so much ink left. I had to replace ink cartridges every few weeks with my other printer. I am so excited that this is in our home so we can save money and keep printing good-quality pages!

Fantastic Printer
I wanted this printer to primarily decrease my ink cost from a laser printer. I expect my print quality to be high so when the campaign came i was not very sure if it would be good however it did not disappoint me. The ink is super easy to install, and the quality is near laser, but it's difficult to know the difference. We arent worried about ink consumption and the refills aren't super expensive. I have only used the scanner a few times however, the scanner works fine for larger or book scans. If you don't have another scanner, you will like at least having the option to scan.
I especially like this printer over its larger models because the paper is SUPER easy to load! The larger ones need you to remove the entire front of the tray before putting paper in. This one you just take a stack of paper and slip it into the front of the paper tray. I can load it very easily from my chair without removing any parts.
The printer connected to the wireless network pretty easy, and adding it to our phones and other computers was a breeze! After owning the printer a few weeks now and printing many pages. I use the IP address to connect to the printers' interface, and I love that more than its software. Both work fine and similar. I highly recommend this HP SmartTank Printer for anyone who wants to save on money and have quality printed products.

Great printing
This printer does great printing. The setup is very easy and creating an HP account was a simple process. Prints are clear and don't take a long time to actually print. The ability to connect wirelessly is very convenient and easy. I can print from my computer, tablet or even my phone. The ink cartridges are the easiest I've ever used. I think this print is great and I'm happy to have it.

Best printer ever!
I enjoy photography and printing my work but my previous printer was 10+ years old and an ink jet printer. Then along came the Smart Tank 6001 All-in-One Printer.
The Smart Tank 6001 All-in-One Printer was as easy as 1-2-3 for this 60 year old to setup and install. Unpack it, plug it in and connect to your Wi-Fi. Add the ink, install the print heads and add paper. Run a test print and you are ready to start enjoying your Smart Tank 6001 All-in-One Printer. The only downside of this printer is that it can hold only one size paper at a time. You cannot keep printer paper and photo paper in the paper tray at the same time, so make sure you have the right paper in before you start printing. It just a minor issue unless you sending to your printer while away from home.
I would recommend the Smart Tank 6001 All-in-One Printer to anyone looking for a robust, easy to use printer.

Pretty Good
It took awhile for me to be able to write this review because the fist printer had some issues. While HP was very willing to help, the customer service was a little slow. But once I got my new printer working, I like it a lot. It has very good print quality and is one of the faster printers that I have had. It is quieter than most. It seems like the ink tanks will last quite awhile and they were mess free and simple to load. Overall, I really like the printer and would absolutely recommend it for anyone who does a medium amount of printing at home.

Great Printer
This printer is so easy to use! The ease of printing from my phone is the best feature. It was easy to set up and now I can print directly from my web browser on the phone. The refillable ink containers is a huge bonus as well. No more cartridges and the best part each color is its own container, no more tri-color cartridges with wasted ink.

Easy!
The printer was super easy to setup, and we were printing to it right away. The quality is fantastic - for the quick black and white page or the color image. I appreciate that in the print dialog we can chose only black & white or color, each with a level (draft or full print). The ink bottles are cool - open, click, and empty to fill the tanks, and there are quick look windows to see how full the tanks are. The only catch to this printer, is that if you don't print at least once a week, the heads can clog up, and requires some cleaning.

After having bad experiences with printers, this printer was really easy to set up, ! It was easy to set up with my WiFi, and my favorite feature is that I can print straight from my phone. It prints anything I need within seconds. Overall, it’s a great printer for simple and everyday use. I've had few different printer and this one best so far

Great Photos
I love this printer. It has met all my needs and exceeded my expectations on daily use. The setup instructions are easy to follow. I even had issues on my end with my wifi and had to start the setup over and the instructions were clear and concise on how to start over. On my second setup, it went flawless and i was up and running in no time. Putting the Ink in all the right places simple. The HP smart app does a great job of walking you through each and every step of setup.
The HP Smart app also is where you can do alot of things with your printer. You can print documents, photos, mobile fax, printer scan, and there is a really cool option for printables. YOu can print all kinds of fun art to color and crafts for kids and adults alike for any occasion.
The first thing I printed were several photos. I used the app to print the photos, and they came out just like i had them printed at walmart, walgreens, or the like. I was very impressed with the quality of the printed photos. I have printed brochures, documents, home school work ,and may other things so far, and it has not skipped a beat. I love the double sided printing. One of my favorite features is the private pickup option, where you can send a job or file to the printer, but it won't print the file until you are near the printer, so no one else can potentially see it. That is a great option for using in medical offices or for important documents.
Overall I am beyond satisfied and i am very glad to have this printer. I will definitely be purchasing another one of these printers down the road.

Sleek design, works great
I love how this printer looks in my office and even better it prints great. Wasn't hard to get it connected to my laptop, phone and iPad. So now I can print all my work docs and kids can print all their art work and coloring sheets! The color is vivid and it's awesome that the ink will last as long as they say it will. Great printer especially for the price.

Responsive and Affordable Ink
The HP Smart Tank 6001 is an upgrade for me. My old printer was slow to boot up and the ink cartridge was pricey. On the other hand, this printer boots up quickly and I can print quickly. Another plus is that the ink will last longer than the cartridges on my old printer. It also prints double sided without having to flip the pages which is a time saver.
I haven't used this printer much yet but so far I'm happy with the way it performs and the way it looks.

Great Printer, Easy Setup
I recently set up my new HP Smart Tank 6001, and waited a little bit after receiving because I was worried it would be time consuming to set up. It was not. It was such an easy process and walked me through every step to get it set up. Set up was seamless and such an easy process to get completed. They also provided me with a link so my family could easily get the printer set up on their devices. It was probably the easiest printer I have ever set up.
Now on the printing, I am amazed at how fast it prints, and still delivers amazing quality. The colors print so vividly and bring out the best in my pictures. It is easy to print directly from my phone, so I can print pictures as soon as I take them. I enjoy that I can print double sided pages and print out like a book so I can use less paper but still have everything I need printed. I love that the ink is so easy to be refilled and so much more economical and cost efficient. Also, I can see what my levels are at, so I don’t have to guess when I am going to run out of ink.
While I have not used the printer as much as I would like, I know that it prints high quality documents every time I have hit print. The printer definitely exceeded all the expectations I had and would recommend to anyone looking for a printer.

Great Home & Family Printer
I must say I am surprised by how much use we've gotten out of this printer, in the few short weeks that we have had it. One of the best things we've used it for, so far, is to print out coloring book pages of things that he wants to color. Also, we had an unexpected return that needed the return label printed, which made me thankful for having a reliable printer.
The connectivity of the printer has also been great - it has been simple to find when printing things from my phone or from our home laptop. The prints themselves come out looking great! The colors are vibrant and the images are clear. Even when my son wants to scan a picture from a book he got at his preschool that week, it comes out looking impressive.
My husband said the setup was easy, too, so I would all around recommend this for anyone looking for a family/home printer. I'm also happy with the ink-tank system, which allows us to see how much ink we have remaining. Even after letting a 4-year old print out lots of pages, I haven't seen any of them dip yet. The included two-years worth of ink seems to be a fair estimate.

The Perfect Printer? Yes
I’ve owned many printers over the years and this printer is absolutely the best of all. The Smart tank system is easy to use, and much more cost effective then the standard cartridge system. The prints look great, the colors are vibrant and the technology is second to none. What I enjoy most is the versatility of wifi printing, which works great from my Macbook, as well as my phone. I typically focus on 3 aspects, easy of use, technology and future costs. In this all of these criteria it has performed and presented perfectly. If you are on the fence regarding purchasing this printer, its an easy choice. In my honest opinion, Buy it, you won’t regret it.

Impressive
HP Smart Tank 6001 All-in-One Printer is a great purchase for any home. This printer has been a godsend to our home. Both of my children have quickly begun utilizing the printer. My oldest daughter for printing and proofreading her essays and homework for school. My youngest daughter loves the ease of being able to find pictures on her iPad and sending them off for a quick print. The set up process for this printer wasn’t nearly seamless. Setting up account and following along with the app for instructions on how to get everything going and filling the printer with ink is very easy and user-friendly. My only drawback was that when I was filling the smaller bottles from the full bottle in the printer, I was worried I was pushing too hard and I would break something. The last thing I wanted to do was clean up, spilled black ink all over the inside of my brand new printer. I needed to push a bit harder and it began to transfer the ink. Printing from my iPhone would not allow me to change the size of the print out like my previous printer, but I need to look into it a bit more. I really enjoyed all of the templates and pre-created options I had on the HP app. Printing is very quick. Something tells me I’m going to need a case of paper instead of a ream at a time.

An excellent choice
The printer really exceeds expectations. The quality and speed of printing is very good, the ink consumption per sheet is minimal, making it economical to refill the tanks. The power to print on both sides of the sheet automatically is an excellent advantage. In truth, it is highly recommended since All the qualities offered by this printer are maximized.

Great printer!
I previously had an HP all-in-one printer that was a few years old and starting to lose its marbles: It constantly removed itself from the wireless network, the print quality was sub-par, and the paper frequently jammed. So I was thrilled to receive my new Smart Tank 6001 all-in-one printer! It was pretty easy to install, although I was a bit hung up on the ink installation, which took more force than I had anticipated. But considering it was a different process than I'm accustomed to, it just took a bit more time. I've printed several projects so far, and I've been thrilled with the speed and quality of the printer. Unfortunately my printer removed itself from my wireless network, so I have to use it with a USB cord connected to my laptop. But I've become accustomed to that and perhaps I just have a weak network. However, that's my only complaint and love the printer overall!

The HP Smart Tank 6001 replaced two printers!
I’ve been looking for replace two printers for quite some time. One HP color and another brand. Let’s just say I was pleasantly surprised by the HP Smart Tank 6001.
Based on some challenges lifting weight, I was concerned about set up. I was able to slide the printer out of the box without help due to the considerate package design. My older HP was heavy, so this was a concern.
Setup continued to be simple and the instructions were extremely easy to execute. I had some concern about filling the tanks with ink, but again, filling the ink was a breeze. The bottles snap on so not to worry about ink getting everywhere on everything.
There is a print head install, and I had no issues downloading and installing the software. I have an HP account and the Bluetooth feature picked the new printer right up. The HP app makes printing, scanning, faxing, and easy task to accomplish.
On the physical printer, the scanner works great and scans are high quality resolution. The printer is fast and extremely quiet. I have a kid that has to print a lot, but hates the noise. He’s asked to move the printer in his room!
The printing is clear and crisp, nothing is distorted or blurry. Im always concerned with print quality, which is why I’ve had two printers. I have printed several work presentations, kids papers and docs for review, approximately 400 pages on total, and surprisingly, the ink hasn't visibly dropped. This is wonderful, as I’m always feeling like I need more ink.
The controls are simple and easy to navigate for adults and kids. Overall, I over the moon happy with the HP Smart Tank 6001 and will be purchasing another one for my kid at school. I’d highly recommend!

Finally a printer that prints!
Finally I have a printer that works!! It print’s perfectly. I was amazed at how fast it prints and on both sides! No flipping the paper to have that done either. The ink tanks are so helpful with not constantly changing ink! This also means even color and no striping. This printer was also very easy for me to set up and only took a few minutes. I haven’t had any issue with printing from my phone, tablet, or computer. The kids have also enjoyed the ease of printing. No more waiting on the husband to connect the printer either. This has been a great decision made to add this to our household.

Fast, efficient and simple setup.
This printer has become indispensable for my work. This is a really good printer, the color pages look very professional, bright, and flawless. Setting it up was quick and pretty easy. The wireless printing is my favorite part since I can print from my phone or tablet, which is so cool. The best feature is the smart tank that allows me to print a lot on one tank of ink. No more cartridges or toners yay! The speed of the printer is fast, and filling the ink was easy. It hasn't jammed or had any errors. Love the size of the printer and it fits perfectly on my desk. I highly recommend this brand!

Excellent All In One Printer
I have been looking for a replacement for my current printer. I was thinking about another brand with the same concept of the ink tanks. I have always been happy with this brand since I have owned 2 laptops from the same brand. The printing is clear and relatively quick. The set up was very easy. The big bonus will be how much I will save on throw away inkjet cartridges.

Value for your Buck
The HP Smart Tank 6001 has been an excellent addition to my home office. The ability to print on both sides of a page is critical in many of my projects for resource management as well has organizational use. Ink use has been solid, very efficient. I have had one case of the printings coming out off angle on a smaller page print, but the paper was smaller than 5x7 which is smaller than the recommended size of the machine. Improvements could be made to the chassis quality, stronger material would be better, but that's the cost of the budget price tag. I would recommend the product to anyone looking for a consumer friendly and cost effective printer for home use.

HP Smart Tank 6001
Great printer. I glad that the ink cartridges are gone. Kim Komando has talked about this printer for a while. I first got the Epson Ecotank but it was not 5G compatible so I called HP and was able to get the 6001 and it works great.

Excellent!
My wife prints ALL the time, and I was tired of having to replace the ink constantly. The ink for this printer comes in easy, fool proof jugs. It’s so easy to install, and she’s been printing constantly, and I haven’t even seen the levels dip. The wireless printing is one of my favorite features, aside from the automatic double sided printing! It makes it so easy just to send the pages she needs, in less than 10 seconds. I will highly recommend this printer to anyone!

I have had many HP printers over the years. I think this is my favorite. I only rated it four stars, because reading about the printer and reviewing the setup instructions, I believed that it could be used with the Print Anywhere feature. It cannot. I think the setup procedure and the promotional materials are a bit misleading.

This printer does not have an ethernet port in order to work with an ethernet cable. It does have a USB B 2.0 female port to do a hard-wired direct connection.
