Disappointed
I ordered the computer and was to get it in a week or so. It took a month to get it. Have been limited on using it and after 2 weeks it failed to open. It would not charge. When I called HP they said I would need to return it for service. They wanted me to pay $25 to expedite the shipment. I said no so she said it would be 3 weeks or more. So I cannot use it on the trip. very disappointed in the service, order time, and lack of quality

Easy Setup
I bought this printer about a month ago on sale. The setup was very easy. Except for the power cord ( maybe some day will have wireless power like the rechargeable now that you just set item on the recharger), no other cords are required! Set up was all by/through the printer connecting to the internet wireless. I like the feature where I can just email the doc to the printer and it is printed.

I like all the features
I bought this printer from the HP Store about a month ago so I haven't used all the features. It worked out of the box without any problems. I really like the separate ink cartridges for each color. I have used the scanner which worked well.

So far we are loving it
We bought this to replace a 3 year old printer that was good, but we had started having trouble with. I was a little concerned with this one because of the price. Because it was such a great deal (got it Black Friday) I was worried I would get "what I paid for". It has exceeded my expectations. I am very hopeful it will continue to to do and I that the insta ink program will be as good as I have heard it is.

Printer out of package would not recognize one of the ink cartridges. Turned out the printer was no good, brand new. So waiting over 12 days to receive the replacement.

I purchased another HP printer because of unusually low priced offer of new printer
following HP blocking of use of recharged ink refills. I liked the offer of ink refills based on monthly usage because we are FL snowbirds and often do not use ink supplies before going north. Ink does not do well after non-use during summer.
My "no" reply to would I recommend this product to a friend is due to only recent purchase and v little use todate.

I get the message "problem with printhead." What can I do??
Thank you for your question regarding the OfficeJet Pro 6978. You can try to replace the printhead, but that printer model has been discontinued and the parts are harder to get a hold of. The printhead model is C2P18-30001. You can contact HP Support https://support.hp.com/us-en to help with troubleshooting. If it is not under warranty, HP Support will take you to HP SmartFriend. If you are interested in a replacement printer, the OfficeJet Pro 9125e would be the closest replacement model at this time.

I have printer drivers for an OfficeJet pro 6970 series that says they are compatible with windows 10. Are they compatible with windows 11?
There are drivers available for that unit that work with Windows 11, but since that unit is no longer in production and is not supported, it will not receive newer updates specifically for that unit and we cannot guarantee that it will work.
