My Customized HP Laptop Terrible Experience
It is very sad to admit, but I have to say creating my Custom HP Laptop became a buying nightmare and emotional rollercoaster. I was so excited to get a new custom laptop after 13 years and my 1st experience creating my Custom HP Laptop was a dream, so I thought with a 24 month Financing promotion if the order was $2500 or more was perfect. I had already went through HP’s configuration to choose the right specs for my Laptop, the external hardware, different warranties and software needed to help my mom with her business such as the Adobe Photoshop 2026 Premier Elements and Microsoft Office Home 2024, but I really wanted a 1 TB hard drive. So after finishing the laptop configuration I asked for help online via HP chat to see if the Laptop model I chose could have a 1 TB hard drive and the HP representative told me that they had this one in the same Model, but different series and the price would be the same. However, it only came in one Silver color and not the Pink Rose Gold I had previously chosen, but stated again the price was still the same. I told her it would be perfect and I wanted everything else the same. What she failed to tell me is that she had no visibility to see the specs I had previously chosen during the HP Configuration process, so she chose different specs for my laptop without permission or consent and made me think everything was the same with the upgrade. I really thought the HP representative had my best interest at heart. The real kicker is that I sent her a screenshot that had all the HP specs I chose for the Laptop even though I was not aware she had no visibility of what I chose while going through HP Configuration Process. I did get the 1 TB hard drive, but she did not include the Adobe Photoshop 2026 Premier Elements, Microsoft Office Home 2024 Software, 3 Year Term License and the 36 month M+ Premium Individual, which defeated the purpose of getting a customized computer and didn't give me the tools I needed to help my mom with her business. A few days after paying through HP Financing and before assembly I tried to get Customer Service Support to fix these major issues, but another Customer Service Support Rep stated she would check with hér team to see if they could make the changes but said they couldn't after order went through and that she was sorry for any problems it caused and for not getting what I originally asked for. I was told I could get the changes if I paid the additional costs. This is where I also found out the HP Customer Service Support Representative that changed my order didn't have visibility of what I selected on HP Configuration Page, but failed to inform me. Very Disappointed!

Setting up very frustrating
New computers are exciting… except for setting it up! Have it now for a couple of weeks… updated the new Windows 11 and have spent many frustrating hours attempting to set it up… have not used it yet since I need guidance to get the simplest things like email set up. Cannot figure out how to get icons/applications on the screen.

Solid buy
Good laptop, solid performance, however the body is a bit too flexible, so if o stand it on one leg, the track pad doesn’t click, because the housing flexibility is too much, otherwise very satisfied. Easy setup, works well, holds battery for about 9 hours during normal use.

Outstanding Laptop at a great price point; purchased on sale for under $500. Enjoy all the performance; handles all performance parameters you come to expect in a laptop, well. I am not a gamer, can speaker for the gaming experience.

HP Laptop 15t-fd100
After two weeks waiting for my laptop because FedEx was terrible and when I started to set up it has been overheating, battery is draining so quickly (about 3-4 hours) and screen has been freezing or getting blue with the message "Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart" . I updated Windows 11, drivers and BIOS to their last versions but the issue is still present. It's no common who a new computer with the specs who I bought (Intel Core Ultra 5 Processor and 32GB RAM DDR5) have that kind of problems when it’s new so I requested a refund and absolutely don’t recommend it.

This laptop was essentially the same as the one I bought back in early 2020 which I really like. The upgrade makes it run better and faster and provides the consistent features that I want.

Can I charge this laptop with a type-c usb power delivery charger? The specs say "1 USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.2, HP Sleep and Charge)", which contradicts the answers in the Q&A saying it can't charge via type-c

Is the SSD Gen 4 or Gen 3? If the SSD were to be replaced, does the PC just accept a SSDs of the same generation?
Thank you for your question! This HP Laptop 15t-fd100 has Gen4 slots. This will be compatible with other generation SSDs. If using a newer Gen than Gen 4, the SSD will function at Gen 4 speeds. If using an older Gen SSD then the SSD will operate at the older Gen speed.
