Don’t even bother purchasing
This laptop isn’t even a year old and yet I’m having constant issues with it , from the mouse constantly disconnecting to now all of a sudden the blue screen of death. HP has gone downhill so bad I will never buy another product from them

I am very disappointed with this HP laptop. It is much slower than I anticipated or expected and
If you want to use it to watch movies or videos, you will find that the sound is not great, and the quality of the video is not as clear, often freezing as I have experienced with other laptop models. I have tried changing from the Google platform to Windows, Explorer, etc., and nothing fixes the problem.

HP Laptop Operating system failures.
The operating system failed after 5 days. I spent 3 hours on the phone downloading "a fixed operating system" and after 1 day it failed. I returned the laptop. There must be a lack of quality control.

I love hp laptops. Had to replace my old one after I broke it.
I love my hp. Inexpensive and high quality. Super fast and great. I love the big screen for watching YouTube. At first I didn't like the keyboard setup but then I discovered the number pad, which also functions as direction keys. One thing I don't like about it is I sometimes press the right click on the mousepad instead of normal click which is annoying. I also don't like Microsoft Windows and setting it up is a huge pain. Otherwise it's great . Only froze on me once so far. Great laptop and good price..

Great Value
While its low price made me wary, this laptop is just what I needed. Setup was quick and easy. It handles the work I need it to do and the 17 inch screen is great for streaming. The only regret I have is that I didn't upgrade to the backlit keyboard.

I have always had/liked HP products but ... Having problems w/ it regarding getting on web sites, the power cable comes out too easily - a design issue as it's right next to a usb port - wish all usb ports were on the opposite side & there were more of them - powers off when I don't want it to

Performance, setup, and response times were/are very good with a nice screen size but heavy laptop weight limits use. After startup personal files in the cloud were corrupted and cannot be accessed.

Decent computer, but...
The USB-C port does not support additional monitors like my previous laptop did. I should have done better research before purchasing. Additionally, there are not enough USB ports overall. The monitor size is good, though you have to have it angled "just so"; otherwise the screen is hard to see. So far, the computer is decently fast. I will be curious to see how long it lasts.

Couldn’t get service help due to AI “operator” stupidity
Laptop was fine, but customer service was unreachable by phone. The AI “operator” could NEVER get the spelling of my simple name correct. Then it would send me off to an incorrect help location, which sent me back to the AI operator. Ugh!!!

This laptop was everything I expected and more. The ordering process was easy, efficient and though I did not need any upgrades (processor, memory, etc.), it was nice to have the option if I needed it. I received the laptop about a month ago and it suits my needs fine- I had read some reviews but for basic home computing, it is phenomenal! The 17" screen is the perfect size and negates the need for multiple monitors. I have been on numerous video calls that run better than on my phone or iPad. Great product at a great price!

A step backward in graphics.
Graphics is a step down from my old computer. HP no longer tells you what integrated graphics is in the AMD computers. I did some digging and discovered that this computer has Radeon Vega 7 and my old computer had Vega 8. Do your research make sure Vega 7 will handle the task that you need it for.

Bought 5 identical laptops of this model to completely update our church network. Horrible MS experience is the price you pay for buying inexpensive boxes:
- After repeated attempts, cannot disable the touchpad in Device Manager
- Invasive adware on startup is nearly impossible to defeat
- Startup routines that clog our workflow are buried everywhere
- Windows hijacked our manufacturer printer drivers in the background, and ONCE WE FIGURED OUT WHY OUR PRINTER/COPIER WAS JAMMING BY INCURRING A SERVICE CALL we had to RE-download Xerox drivers. MS drivers are buggy and incompatible with our unit. What a waste.
- Windows constantly forcing use of OneDrive. We don't use OneDrive - finally found the help page for Unlinking our accounts. Requiring a negative election to STOP using OneDrive is manipulation, but making it a positive election to choose it would equip users to make best use of your product.

The laptop works great. I was concerned that there were no real "Get Started" printed brochures on how the thing worked, or how to turn it on. I finally found the start button on the keyboard and started using the laptop.

For any software, you would want to check the system requirements from the publisher's website and make sure the device you want to run it on meets the requirements for the setting you would like to use. Updates can change the requirements which can impact what settings you run it on or if you can run it at all. For software that always require online or for sections that are online, your connection type and speed can also affect how well it runs. Quickbook also has system requirements based on number of users.

Thanks for your question! This HP Laptop 17-cp0097nr can be expanded to 32GB DDR4-3200 MHz RAM. Different speed RAM could cause blue screens and system crashes. Also, the RAM slots are designed for the 3200 speed, if a faster speed is used and doesn't blue screen it will still operate at the 3200 speed.
