Nice machine; easy on the budget.
Very efficient and quick to print machine. Faster than me previous HP printer by about 20%. Easy to read and comprehend display. Setup was quick, intuitive and simple. Connection into network was flawless. And thus far, printer has not disappointed.

My only complaint
I love my new printer but I miss one thing that my old Envy had which my new one is missing. When my old Envy printer was printing, an arm would protrude to collect the newly printed pages. My new printer just spits them out onto the floor.

It does NOT print on glossy paper
This printer is ok. It connects easily. It has a dedicated photo tray. It came with some 5 x 5 glossy paper for photos. I have not been able to get this printer to print on glossy paper of any size. It spues ink on glossy prints. This is my second printer in 3 weeks. Both printers have the same issue. Tech support has been of no help, after hundreds of minutes online with tech support.

Not good
You have to load the paper very carefully or the printer will say there’s no paper. When printing photos it leave line in it. Doesn’t matter how many times you clean the heads.

Great printer needing a bit more freedom from HP Print
I love this printer for the most part. The one thing i dont like is once it goes to sleep for longer than a few hours, i can no longer locate it to print wirelessly. I have to go wake it to get it to show. The way it functions is mainly through HP print app and inwish there was more flexibility. Overall a good printer and scanner. Print quality is great!

TERRIBLE INK ONLY LASTED FOR 60 sheets of printing. The XL cartridges.
The ink only lasted a week for me. Just terrible. Yes, it was a brand new cartridge. The original set up cartridge only lasted for a couple sheets of printing. I pulled back the label to see that the foam (or whatever it is called). Was white. So it was not completely filled properly with ink. I got my new cartridges and these two didn’t last long. I only got 60 pages printed and the color is empty. What a joke.

we have a pair of Envy 7640 printers. They have been problems since changing to a Google Nest router wifi system. One was bought in 2017 the other in 2018. Which home printer does HP have that will work with the Google Nest router system?
Thank you for your question! Depending on which Google Nest devices you have, Google Nest operates on at minimum a dual-band network, the newest ones operate on a tri-band. Older HP printers will only operate on a 2.4Ghz network, if your Nest is set on a 5.0Ghz or higher network this will be why your printers are not working with your Nest system. Almost all currently available printers on the HP website are dual-band compatible printers including this HP Envy printer.

My old PSmart C5180 All In One photo scanner identified any number of photos I placed on the glass INDIVIDUALLY & gave each INDIVIDUAL photo a file name to save on my computer. Does the Envy Inspire 7955e also identify each photo individually?? Important

{Purchased new ENVY printer on advice of your rep at store. So far.. great printer.. but sure with it had some sort of "catch" attachment so that printed pages do not shoot out onto floor unless I am sitting right there to catch them as they exit
