I had to do something and decided it was buy a monitor like this or stop using the computer. I was overjoyed with my choice. Assembling it out of the box was tricky since I was working by feel quite a bit. With that done, I simply plugged it in and it worked flawlessly. I can now use the Windows Magnify function to enlarge 970% and see crystal clear text. Crystal clear for me that is. I you are visually challenged to any degree, I recommend this monitor. My main complaint was that the monitor did not come with the proper HDMI cable as it was offered with my lap top purchase, and I spent hours on the phone with HP tech support, visits to Best Buy, and trying to get help connecting to my lap top. The support people, both on the purchase side, and the set up after purchase side were not well versed. Further, they tried to sell me a $250 docking station as the "proper solution."

Never had an issue where I buy something new and have to go and buy a cord to hook up the monitor to the harddrive. bought many apple products over the years and never a issue, first time i buy a HP and would have thought it would have been the same experience, unfortunately not.

    How does this one compare to the X32? Specs seem to be pretty much identical. I have got an X32 and I would have liked to add another one. Was the X32 discontinued?

    Hello. Thanks for your question. The HP OMEN 32q has a better color gamut, 99% sRGB; 95% DCI-P3 vs. 99% sRGB. The HP Omen 32q monitor also has pivot rotation and height adjustment. The HP X32 QHD Gaming Monitor just has height adjustment. The HP X32 monitor is still active.

    I bought this monitor because I has HDR, 1440p, 120Hz for gaming. But my Xbox series X and PS5 say that the monitor does not support HDR. How do you enable HDR, there is not an option on the monitor. My dell 3220 allowed me to enable it.

The monitor can be raised and lowered by lifting or lowering the monitor up or down.     Ps5 compatiable? Works ps5 vrr and gives 1040p on 120hz?

    This monitor is designed mostly for PCs and only features HDMI 2.0 with DisplayPort 1.4. While the DisplayPort can handle that, the HDMI 2.0 would limit those features and you would not be able to access them from the PlayStation 5. It has to have HDMI 2.1 like this model https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/omen-27u-4k-gaming-monitors to access that feature and you would need to make sure you connect it to the HDMI 2.1 port.
