Problems with my new HP computing system
I haven't even opened the box yet because I need to be able to print some things out prior to changing to a new computer. Unfortunately, I have not gotten my new HP Envy 6100e printer to work yet. Serial number TH4BRFH0YR, Product number 714L5A. I ordered this on June 13, 2025. I am having a problem with the printer to power cable, It is too loose. And the replacement I received was even looser!

Love my new PC, except...
Everything has worked great with my new PC. Very happy with my purchase, except I had to buy a new webcam because the webcam resolution didn't meet my business needs. I purchased this pc specifically for the higher level webcam, but it didn't deliver.

Terrible purchase experience.
Hp ProBook 460 was on sale. Disapointed HP no longer includes optical drive. Had a LOT of problems placing the purchase. Was approved for HP Financing but HP web site could not complete the transaction. Finally after 4 tries on three days and over 12 hours on line I used my personal credit card for the purchase. HP purchase experience was very bad. Will not go thru that again.

HP could do better
This is the third time I have tried to complete the survey. The ProBook seems to be well built. I have experienced issues with the screen going black for several seconds. So far HP has been helpful, but with several issues they are lacking in response.

My HP didn’t work
The ProBook was for my wife. She struggled with it for nearly 3weeks until I returned from deployment. The keyboard would stop working and the screen would suddenly dim automatically and not allow you to adjust it. I tried to troubleshoot the problem and finally tried a complete factory reset which did not work; the same problems persisted. Any troubleshooting was hampered by the keyboard not working. I then tried for 4 days to get help via my online HP account but the site won’t recognize the serial number. I ordered the unit from HP online from my HP account. I couldn’t find a number to call and finally tried the chat service who wanted me to try and troubleshoot it with them via chat. What a nightmare. Finally, they created a trouble ticket and said a representative would call me within 48 hours. About 36 hours later they called and argued that I was now two days over the 30 day warranty and I was no longer eligible for that but I could use the 90 day warranty option to try and do more online troubleshooting or send it to a repair site. I explained that I wanted to return it and just get one that worked versus taking a few weeks to ship it, get it tested, have it returned, then me test it, etcetera. HP argued that returning it wasn’t an option but finally said they would get back to me. It’s now been three days and no word from HP.
They make it as difficult as possible to get ahold of them and when you do, it’s a nightmare.
I hope they call soon and have good news but at this point it’s been nothing but problems.

HP machine great, Windows 11 - well, there are issues
With regard to the machine itself, it's great. Fast, great display. Love the backlit keyboard and separate numerical board. Plenty of ports. Someone wrote that they couldn't put an ethernet cable into it. There is a port, but you have to move an access cover for that. Biggest complaint, and I struck a star off my rating from 5 to 4, has nothing to do with HP but everything to do with Windows (which of course is loaded on the HP machine). BEFORE DOING ANYTHING with your set-up:
decide if you want to use "cloud" storage, because the setup of the machine LEADS YOU AUTOMATICALLY DOWN THAT RABBIT HOLE! Yes, there are "pros" to cloud backup storage, but there are "cons," too. Your mileage may vary - you decide what works for you but my "warning" is that the SOFTWARE will make that decision FOR YOU if you're not aware of it. I fell to this and "clicked through' the setup steps and all of a sudden I was getting a cloud account and all of my files (which was taking FOREVER b/c there's a lot of data) were being uploaded. Ended up having to set up a new local user account, then manually transferring my files from old machine to this new one, then deleting my files from Microsoft's "cloud" storage then finally deleting the "cloud user" on this new machine. Again, you do what's best for you, but be aware that the "default" is to use the "cloud." If you don't want that, take the appropriate steps for your equipment to set up your local system. Some of my trouble, in all honesty, is my computer naivete. Fortunately my wife is an expert and she saved the day!

Perfunctory Product, Bad Customer Service
Great price on this pro book but the images from some websites are blurry. Swapped it out for a pro book with a better graphics card and it did not resolve the issue. My old cheap HP laptop has better images for the same websites. Customer service was a nightmare. I spent hour on the phone being transferred 5-6 times per call to different departments and not anyone spoke good English. It’s worth the extra money to get a different brand.

Highly Dissatisfied
I waited to open it for a special occasion. It was going to be a gift. The box it was shipped in doesn't have a mark on it and is in perfect condition. The "egg carton" that holds the computer inside the box is in perfect condition. However, the computer itself is damaged and has separation in the right front corner. The bottom of the computer is bent enough to separate 1/8" from the face containing the keyboard. Also, someone already starting setting the computer up prior to me turning it on. There is no way this was missed. I believe someone at HP purposely shipped a damaged, used computer.

Better Than Ever!
I am soooo glad I purchased this notebook! It is the size I want with all the "cool" additional features that I THOUGHT I could only get for a price of $2K or more. I am very pleased. Plus, I was able to make this purchase with monthly payments. Another bonus! Glad to have qualified! I am a happy camper! :)

Solid Laptop, love the keyboard
Have been using MSFT Surfaces for years and this HP is a nice change. They keyboard layout is better, keystrokes smoother and the device is well built and sturdy feeling. All that coupled with strong performance makes us happy we went with these devices for our staff.

Probook disappointed.
I had to return the Probook. The RJ45 port was too small for a standard Ethernet cable. In addition the display adapter was faulty. It couldn't support dual displays. The specs were great however.
