A dishonest and inefficient company
When I ordered my desktop there was nothing in the specs that indicated what generation the HDMI was for the standard graphics card. It was only after I received the monitor I purchased at the same time as the drive, and I went online to purchase a cable, that I found that there were different levels of HDMI. I read thru the documentation and found out the monitor used HDMI 2.0 but after going back to HPs website and digging in I found out that the standard graphics card was HDMI 1.4b. It had only been three days and the website said my drive wasn't scheduled to ship for three more weeks, so I called HP to add the upgraded graphics card to my order. I was told that my drive had already been built and the specs couldnt be added to. I was told I would need to order another drive with the graphics card that I needed, then return the original order once it arrived. I was told that because it was an issue with the HDMI specs not being displayed that I wouldn't be charged a restocking fee. I ordered another drive right then over the phone, and that one actually arrived 3 days before the original order. It took two emails and almost a week to get a return label from HP. Once I shipped it back I watched the tracking until I saw it arrive in TN. I waited a week and still hadn't received a refund so I emailed again. I was told I would have a refund in 5 to 7 days. It took 10 days. The original purchase price was $ 1,670.97. I received a refund for $ 1,425.27. I cannot recommend HP due to their inefficiency and dishonesty.

the desktop is total junk. my old envy would print and read the camera card this does neither. support fixed it so it would print that was short lived it reverted back to not being able to connect to the hp smart tank printer. it is slow complete toral perfect junk. support is worthless impossible to contact puts you on endless holds then cannot correct any problems.

Great compact desktop PC
I love the HP Envy TE01-51 desktop. It is compact and fits quite nicely under my desk. It picked up most of my settings, all favorites and even some of my programs via wifi to wifi on my old computer. It is fast. Comes up fast, retrieves files and web sites fast and shuts down fast. I only gave it four stars due to post purchase customer service, which has been non existent and of no help. The operating manual needs to provide more information as well. Of course, it has to be downloaded on line. But, very satisfied with PC!!

Could be better
For a brand new desktop, the fan makes a discernable noise unlike the one I bought 3 years ago. Once it goes to sleep after a period of inactivity, the monitor does not wake up with touch of a button. Unexpected behavior.
The button to submit this survey says "Submit as a disappointed PRINTER" !! What ??

Avoid HP
This was the worst ordering experience of my life. HP provided a shipping date and then sent it 2 weeks early, while I was out of the country. I called an agent and he said that I received a shipping email because components were shipped to the warehouse to be assembled and the pc was not built yet. The next day FedEx provided a tracking number and showed the pc was shipped from TN to NM, so clearly the agent lied. The agent also said the pc would require a signature and would not be left on my doorstep in the snow. Again the agent was wrong and Fedex left it on my doorstep where anyone could steal it.

Great PC with plenty of Performance at a superb price.
With Windows 11 OS preinstalled the time to boot and log in is far improved from the Windows 10 PC we were previously using. That's a huge improvement. It has plenty of processing power and is excellent for all browsing and application usage. We are very pleased with this PC except for the ON/Off button. It appears the styling won over practicality in the power button design. The power button is recessed and very thin causing a difficulty when trying to start and stop the PC. It appears to be sized and designed based on the case design rather than ergonomics. My wife and I find this to be a surprise since all other components and performance are excellent and at a very attractive price. The on/off power button on the front case should be larger and easier to use.

Cabinet design is poor
The on/off button is so skinny it is VERY difficult to turn on. The USB ports are misaligned with the cabinet so it is very difficult to insert a USB cable.

Good computer but Very very poor Tech support. Beware!
We purchased this computer and paid for many upgrades and their Tech Support. Had one issue with the computer but we are happy with it. But we are veRY UNSATISFIED with Tech Support that we paid for. Unable to talk to NO ONE for support. So we bought this.

Nice computer, seems well built.
Replaced a 10 year old lenovo with this. Got a good price. Compared with the other unit, this baby is fast. The solid state drive is great. Handles all of my meager needs well. Would recommend as computer for basic use. Set up easy and removed all the junkware with no problem.

Great Machine for running CPU heavy applications.
Needed to upgrade to a 32Gb machine to drive a process heavy DAW Music Studio. It's a great machine for a recording studio. Whisper quiet, able to drive an application running multiple deep processes. That said, the operating system suffered from a corrupt WIN11 update that stripped rules allowing access to NAS stored project files. MSoft elite techs couldn't resolve it. The entry level HP techs couldn't resolve it. Not their fault, they are primarily trained to help with basic hardware issues and in most cases, I know more than they do. After a week and a half and dozens of frustrating hours on the phone, HP tech Ed did the deep dive no one else thought of, and wrote new rules in WIN11 that resolved the issue. Note to HP: If I'm selling a Complete Package, I need my CSRs to be fluent with all the operating systems that the elegant hardware needs to operate. One out of all the CSRs I spoke with is not a good ratio.

This desktop PC is blinding fast compared to my old HP desktop. I love the way it performs. One thing that I wish was included with the purchase were detailed instructions on how to completely transfer files from the old hard drive to the new computer.

Not convinced that the price justifies the product. But it meets my needs. I would have appreciated 2 more USB ports. The button to turn the computer is small which makes it a little difficult to turn it on. A bad experience when I received an email informing me that the computer was finished early and that it was shipped. A tracking number was provided. The day after receiving the email I tracked the shipment and FedEx replied that they had didn’t recognize a shipment with that tracking number. I contacted HP who couldn’t verify that the computer was shipped or the email that I received. They blamed it on a glitch. I couldn’t believe that HP could have such a “glitch” in their system. Eventually I did receive my computer and am satisfied with it.

Shipping is part of the order.
Unfortunately, shipping is part of the order. I am very satisfied with this computer; I was appalled by the shipping of the product. I received details about delivery via emails and Fedex did not honor those details twice. Under difficult circumstances, I made twice time-consuming arrangements in vain. Eventually, my rather expensive computer was left on my front porch (for everybody to see) for hours. I am still waiting for a response from HP.

Desktop PC Review (Get your act together, it is not a laptop.)
OK, you asked for it. 1. the wireless mouse and keyboard were crap. I threw them in the trash and went out and bought Logitech. The were half the price. 2. The sound quality leaves a lot to be desired. When watching streaming video, there is too much bass it the sound. It makes it hard for me to understand all of the dialog. The music is not bad, I can adjust the bass in the music software. 3. Of course there was no CD/RW player available, nor there any speakers. Difficult to listen to music without them.
My biggest problem is with Windows 11. I have two computers with a home network for them to communicate. Win 11 dose not support pear to pear communication with each other. This is a real pain in the rear because of the way I use my computers. I also hate their new media player. It is very confusing. I have tried VLC but it is just as bad.
I think that's about it.
Will my new desktop run Win 7?

Functionality of computer
Functionality of HP Envy Desktop TE01-4000 PC Is standard with the industry. In selecting this system I spoke with a sales person. I expressed needs and this was the recommendation. I did not realize it did not have a DVD drive and is limited on internal storage space that I need. I learned not to trust sales people with this purchase. I blame myself for not being more observant. In the future any purchase will be different.

Anyone else having an issue with WIFI being unstable? My new system is intermittently dropping the connection. Have spent hours with HP support and looking at 2-3 days to get a repair box to repair then 8-10 days to repair then return to me. Not cool!
I resolved my Wi-Fi issue by buying a USB Wi-Fi adapter for $20 from Amazon and plugging it into the back of the box. Everything works as it should now.
