Excellent printing results
This printer was recommended to me by an HP customer service representative after my several years old HP printer broke down. I needed a small footprint and good quality. This printer met all those needs and also has the ink service built into it. I think I will be grateful for that. It was easy to set up too.

After some hardship
I had to go to Microsoft tech support after HP tried and failed to get the printer to work with a USB cable. The issue turned out to be about appropriate printer drivers.
But once it worked, it turned out to be a champ. I subscribed to the ink program, and that seems to be worthwhile. I must emphasize that HP tech support was uniformly courteous and knowledgeable.

Easy setup, excellent quality

This printer is fairly small, not too loud and prints great. Using the app to print though, I can not figure out how to resize a picture. Also it says printer not found alot, but then starts printing. You need to use the app to print, so I'm reviewing that more, really. It's not very user friendly. I've wasted a few pages trying to get something to print right. I do alot of crafts, so having a home printer is great. I hope HP improves the app. Also, can't figure out how to print double sided.

Very Easy to Use
I have purchased from this series before and have never been disappointed. It prints beautifully. It is easy to use and quiet. It is pretty ugly sitting in my living area, but the aesthetics aside, it is perfect for me. I can scan, print, and copy. Perfect for writing letters to my airman. Thanks!

Prints beautifully
I had another brand of printer that would not feed the paper anymore, so I definitely wanted another brand. I am glad that I chose HP. The printer looks sleek & modern. I fed 2 photo papers that the other printer couldn't feed, they were wrinkled, but the HP fed them easily & printed beautiful pictures. I ordered my printer online, since my local store had NO printers! I received my printer promptly. I'm very happy.

Hard to connect - ink goes FAST
I bought this a few weeks ago and spent two days on the phone with tech support in far away places (I reside in non metro NY). Teaching my college students on line from home and needed a small printer near small desk. The connectivity issues were not resolved and I ended up hard wiring the thing to the brand new Dell tablet. Even so, it needs to be restarted b/c every day after it “sleeps” it does not get recognized even though I have ticked the box to make it the “Default” printer.

Stopped working after 2 days!
I was excited to receive my new printer but that excitement ended within 2 days of having set it up. It gave me a few errors while setting it up the first day but I was resilient and made it work. I was happy. To my own dismay and only 2 days after having received it, the printer came to an end. It gave me an error message that was found to be a hardware issue and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, after much waiting, I received a refurbished printer and that's when I lost it. I mean, really? I paid for a new one not some certified refurbished item. I hope this review will help someone.

Can't find anywhere which will tell me how to scan images, Printer requests I go to 123HP. It sends me to a go daddy site which doesn't help

Dose this printer have a SD card reader & a USB thumb drive reader?
Hello Dave and thank you for your question! The HP Envy 5055 will not have a USB drive or SD card input. The HP Envy 7155 and 7855 will feature this, however.

my printer states that it is connected, but word tells me it is offline when I try to print.

Is a replacement piece available for the little arm that flips down on the output tray? one of my grandchildren snapped it off.
