Terrible Customer Warranty Service
The Keyboard that came with this new Desktop is JUNK. The keys were sticking, after one week of light use the "X" key permanently is in the down position and will not release. Can not get any Warranty Help on this PC. There Customer Service is the Worst, Buy any other Brand computer, but NOT HP.

Mini Desktop
I've contacted HP two or three times requesting help to correct the warranty from one to three years (three years was advertised). So far, I cannot get this resolved. I also had to uninstall Wolf security and install a different antivirus program in order for things to work properly. Other than that, I am very happy with the computer so far. I love its compact size. The kinks seem to be worked out now, and the computer is fast. I am very happy with it. I am concerned, though, that I can't get HP to resolve the warranty issue.

A great system with one caveat.
Super system for the price. My complaints have more to do with Windows than the computer itself. Our specific application security requirements demand that we strip out all non-essential apps, features, etc., and button down the security as tight as possible. On top of that, most times when an upgrade occurs, we have to do it all over again because much of that we stripped out was reinstalled. It would be a benefit if HP/Microsoft made available a stripped-down version of this business system without all the bloatware MS insists on. This includes not having to have a MS account (yes, we know how to get around this - for now). This is sold as a business system - not a home computer; we don't need or want all the 'toys' MS insists including.

HP Elite Mini 800 G9 – A Compact Powerhouse!
I recently purchased the HP Elite Mini 800 G9 with the Intel Core i7-14700T processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. I added an extra 1TB M.2 SSD and was very please how easy this PC was to open up and install the drive. This little machine packs a punch, offering decent performance in a nice compact design.
For a mini-PC, this unit seems to be well built in a nice compact design. It takes up minimal desk space, yet still offers all the power you'd expect from a full-sized desktop. The sleek, professional design fits nicely behind the monitor on a little stand I had to purchase separately. The stand was shown in the photo but did not come in the box with mine... disappointing HP did not include this with a computer that cost this much.
HP has outdone themselves in terms of build quality. The Elite Mini feels sturdy and premium, and it’s clear this was designed for a business who needs reliability. It came with something called WOLF SECURITY... I am not familiar with this, so I hope it does what it implies it will?
Highly recommend it!

Total waste of time and money, HP doesn't stand behind its products
Total crap, won't work. Even after 3 hours on HP support with my IT professional, still won't work correctly, turns off and won't power up. HP refuses to return the product. Don't purchase this piece of crap.

A lot of power packed under the hood
This little machine is pretty amazing. With the 14th gen I7 under the hood with 32GB Ram and a 2TB hard drive, what's not to love. Runs fast and flawlessly. Very impressed with the capability in such a small package.

Powerful mini computer
With the phasing out of Windows 10 in 2025 and my old computer’s hardware not compatible with Windows 11, I decided to buy a new computer. I was initially looking for a PC with a tower and then came across this model. I was looking at business machines since I work from home and wanted better hardware than can run specific programs. This model was expensive, but found it on sale on Black Friday. This is my first ever mini PC, but it is powerful. I bought it with 16GB of memory and an i7 processor. The hard drive could have been bigger (less than 350GB of usable space) with Windows 11, but it is SSD so is fast. I have been dealing with a blinking white light near the power button that does not affect performance, but is annoying. I have contacted HP support, but it seems like this is normal operation. Overall, I would recommend this computer, but you should spend more for better hardware so you don’t have to upgrade any of the parts. An upgrade is easy to do if necessary as I did open it up to check on adding a second memory module.

Incorrect Configuration
AfterI recieved the PC and installed software, I noticed that the ports were not configured correctly. HP support refused to send me the correct part, which is easily replaced. They also refused to allow me to return the PC for a correctly configured one. The amount of time I spent trying to address this issue was excessive. The result was unsatisfactory.

Pay attention to availble ports and your need
Purchased for our case manager. We have no complaints. Make sure when you buy it you know what the connections are. We did not pay close enough attention to this and we are running a double monitor.

Compact, Powerful, Fast, Quiet Workstation
When I started a new remote job a few months ago, I wanted a small, powerful, and dependable workstation. I needed something lightweight that I could easily travel with. This workstation met all of my company's device requirements as well as my own personal specifications. I am so glad I chose this. I use it for long 11 to 12 hour shifts with two 24 inch monitors and a webcam, and it has never overheated. It barely makes any sound when it operates. It has all the ports I need to connect my accessories including a wired keyboard and mouse.

Love its speed & ability to handle so much at once BUT it gets extremely hot. I’ve had to add a laptop fan underneath for it to sit on.

Fast But Kind of Pricey
The compact size of the HP desktop mini's is awesome. They've had these for maybe roughly 10 years now, with a lot of the early ones having overheating issues and being noticeably slower than their SFF (small form factor) and mini tower relatives. Both of those issues have been gone since roughly the G4 era, which is when AMD Ryzen models become available.
These can be mounted behind certain HP monitors like the HP Elite models with an adapter quit, so pretty neat there. You've probably seen this at hospitals, clinics, and some other places. It does add some cost so not necessarily always worth it as space might not be a big issue either.
Giving this model 4 stars instead of five as Intel has completely shaken my confidence on their entire Core 13th and 14th gen line, although you all reading this can remain fairly assured that this won't be a problem on this model as it uses a 35W TDP model whereas Intel says the issues are on 65W and higher models (think big tower desktop machines, professional workstations [OUCH!], gaming machines, etc.). HP also dropped the AMD versions of this line a little over the year ago for some reason and is just now starting to bring them back.

The good little PC.
Great performance for the footprint. It's nice to run this with a monitor that has a USB hub in it. You can run the 35 watt version with just one USB type c cable.

Just changed from Dell but HP not all that much better
custom config pc - i cannot even customize any settings on this pc because the "operating system is not activated" - why does HP not test their loads when they do a custom configuration? otherwise the function and speed of the pc is good. I just started to change from Dell over to HP due to frustration with Dell product and support. Now I already have issues with HP as well... disappointed.

Never received my 3 year active care protection despite paying for it
I purchased HP 3 Year Active Care Next Business Day Onsite w/Defective Media Retention DT HW Supp and your Order Summary email sent to me said it's been "Delivered" but I NEVER received an email or any other confirmation that I have it. So...I paid for something and never got it. I reached out a number of times asking for status and have been ignored. So...I'm left without protection even though I paid for it. Not very ethical of HP.

Small but mighty powerhouse
I am so pleased with this purchase and the great deal I got on it when I bought it. I've been an HP fan for a long time but this system really kicks it up a notch. I especially like the small footprint and the selection of connections available. Very speedy and responsive - I would highly recommend to anyone.
