Better off going to a brick and mortar store.
Wouldn't communicate with my HP Printer. Tried several times to reinstall it and power cycled my printer and the printer kept coming up with the error message: " unable to communicate with the print cartridge " had to go on the HP support Web site and get a RMA ticket and a QR code to have FEDEX ship it back to HP. The recycled one I bought at Office Max worked perfectly for less money.

I hope these last better. I don't print much anymore, and it is frustrating to go print to find out the cartridges have dried out or in some way timed out. Regardless they will not print, and this has happened with my printer a few times. Sad

Same problems over and over
I don’t know if the problem is the hp printer or the hp ink, but I keep having the same problem. Install the ink cartridge and before I even use 1/4 of the ink, it will stop printing one color. Sometimes if I clean the heads (twice) I will get one good print and then it happens again. Each cartridge seems to have problems with a different color. The last one wouldn’t print green, the one before that wouldn’t print red and so on. I wondered if the ink was freezing, but even when warm it still does this. I’m ready to go to a different company.

If your printer is compatible with the HP 61 ink cartridge it will not be compatible with the 65.

I have an hp3830 printer. The cartridges I removed for replacement are 65/304. But the 65/304 cartridges don’t include the hp3830 on their list of compatible printers. All websites indicate that the 63 cartridge is what I need. Is this correct?
The HP 63 ink is the correct ink for the HP 3830 printer. The HP 304 cartridge is for use in printers from Western Europe. If your printer came from Western Europe please contact HP Support so it can be converted to North America. Contact HP Support here: https://support.hp.com/us-en

I changed my hp#65 tricolor ink in early August and made about 30 copies, and already the printer is telling me the ink is low. My printer is about 5-6 years old and this is a relatively new issue. It seems I should be able to make a lot more copies.
