Bad Product
The cartridges always begin messing up when 3/4 empty and I've tried 2nd party cartridges and they're even worse,,
FTC needs to make an industry standard on these ink cartridges that are crap

Get the XL color cartridge
I like the product, but was surprised when after only probably 10 print outs of colored 8 1/2 x 11 prints, it ran out of color, and I was advised to replace the cartridge. The ink cartridge that I had before was a 64 XL and lasted quite awhile, delivering a great quantity of full color images.

Quality Depends on Printing Frequency
Fresh cartridge works great, but if you're like me who prints maybe once every two months, then not the product to pursue. I usually have to reorder either the black or tricolor cartridge every time I need to print because the ink dries out. Even after performing all maintenance tips, the only way to receive a quality print job is to replace the cartridge. This issue did not occur for my previous HP printer. Time to find a different brand

Did Not Perform As Advertised
It didn't last nearly as long as advertised. It was empty after 10 color copies & the color was brown not vibrant like the original was. I am very disappointed. I asked an agent for a refund & was denied. He said I'd get a discount, but that didn't happen.

Cartridge dri out when not in use for while.
I dont have a problem with your ink it works well but the cartridge dries and then will not print. I had to buy the new cartridge because the double ink one has now stopped printing and its still full. the black quit working altogether and says its not installed correctly but it is. I have taken it in and out and i have tried cleaning the contacts on both cartridges and yet they still do not print. The color only lightly prints and not all the colors. I have tried all cleaning techniques the machine offers. it just wastes paper and color ink.
I am beginning to think that is what was intended as this is not the first time this has happened and i had to replace good cartridges because they dried. I will soon have bought enough ink to buy a new printer. I think i will try another brand this time. I have purchased 5 HP printers over the years.

HP ink cartidge
Bought as it is what this printer uses, and was cheapest price for the item could find at the time. Had bought before. Lasts ok, except one time when printer said ink was still there, but it would not come out. Had to stop to take out cartridge to get ink going again. Finally gave up and replaced. Have no way of knowing how well it lasts compared to other makers. The first set the colors were not so great, but subsequent cartridges have been fine. Just wish ink were not so expensive no matter who makes it.

How many color photos (4 x 6) will the 64 cartridge yield?
Hello. Thanks for your question. The 64 black ink cartridge will yield about 200 pages. The 64 tricolor ink cartridge will yield about 165 pages. The 64XL high yield black ink cartridge yields about 600 pages and the 64XL tricolor ink cartridge will each yield about 415 pages. This is with 5% coverage. A full-page photo would be 100% coverage. I just bought an HP ENVY Inspire 7900e series printer. The trip-color ink cartridge does not show any blue ink in the status report (only two colors). As a result pictures will not print properly. Does this happen often and will it be a future prob?
