The original seems best
I have used refills and discount cartridges and they often leak, do not work properly or just not as well. They are more expensive buy when you factor in the lost time and having to purchase a cartridge when it shouldn't be needed, it makes sense to buy an original.

I was really upset because the first couple of copies came out smeared. I tried everything to find out what happened but it eventually stopped. Also, I don't use the color ink that much but with the purchase I got a sample of the colored ink. Once it ran out I was ok. But then I found out you have to have ink in both. NOT FAIR

Ink Vs. Printer Cost
I was looking at the new eco tank printers to save $$ on ink, but this color combined cartridge is not too expensive and seems to have a great life span. I probably would not have saved enough on the ink to cover the higher printer cost.

Prints in color
My HP Tango ran out of color as that initial cartridge has something like a ten sheet life span. This one should last longer since I mostly print b&w at home. It is an HP cartridge so it should fit the Tango fine.

How many color photos (4 x 6) will the 64 cartridge yield?
Hello. Thanks for your question. The 64 black ink cartridge will yield about 200 pages. The 64 tricolor ink cartridge will yield about 165 pages. The 64XL high yield black ink cartridge yields about 600 pages and the 64XL tricolor ink cartridge will each yield about 415 pages. This is with 5% coverage. A full-page photo would be 100% coverage. I just bought an HP ENVY Inspire 7900e series printer. The trip-color ink cartridge does not show any blue ink in the status report (only two colors). As a result pictures will not print properly. Does this happen often and will it be a future prob?
