Expensive
I bought this a week ago. It is the best you can get, but is very very expensive. You can buy toners without the chips for a fraction of the price. You just have to move the chip from the old one to the new. The downside is possible lower quality and the chip makes the printer thinks you are always out of ink.

The ink is fine; the printer is mediocre
The ink is fine; however, the HP Color LaserJet Pro Multifunction M479fdw the ink cartridge is for is a completely disappointing printer. It frequently goes offline and is difficult to set up and keep working over our network. Since it is so unreliable, we have moved it to backup printer status.

It's toner...and cost what the printer did new.
I had to replace the toner cartridges in my printer and just spent about $600! Ridiculous but to use the printer I had to buy them. HP should be ashamed of themselves. This is really ridiculous. Upon writing this I realize just how ridiculous it is. The printer will be replaced as soon as these toners are gone.

Not user friendly
Bought this twice because 1st was defective. When scanning (which is important reason why I bought this) the PDF size is so large (even if I am only scanning a few pages) and cannot determine how to reduce and instructions are minimal at best and not helpful at all. I normally do not give many negative comments and am an HP fan, but this is pretty frustrating

Ridiculously Expensive
I should have checked the price of the toner before I bought my laser jet printer. It cost about $500 to replace the required 4 toner cartridges. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone.

Bought this printer in January for my home office. Twice I had to purchase ink because of ‘toner replacement’. Cost of each replacement $500. Plus. Despite the change, quality of both print and scan is extremely poor. HP brands no longer mean anything, again!
