A victim of a firmware update
It was necessary for me to buy these cartridges because HP automatically updated the firmware no my printer rendering my 3rd party cartridges useless (until I swap the chips out which I plan on doing when the HP cartridges run dry). Better yet, the firmware update disabled the wired and wireless networking capability of the printer. While this is a known issue with the update, HP has done nothing to rectify it, let alone provide any troubleshooting assistance. It's taken me about a week to figure out how to get the printer to work again on my own. You can bet that I've disabled the automatic firmware up dates on the printer and that I will never buy another genuine HO product again.

Print quality is great - but oh so pricey
I've had this HP color laser printer for about a year and finally needed to replace the cartridges and past experience with lower cost replacements got me to buy them from HP. They work fine, as expected. But...the replacements cost as much as the original printer did! Crazy. Why do laser carts and even ink jet ink have to be so expensive?
