I bought the cartridge from HP because I have always used their printers and needed to have a cartridge in the a couple of days because ours was running low. The cartridge was supposed to be delivered next business day and it took 4 business days to receive. Once I opened the black ink cartridge and placed in the printer, it did not recognize as a Genuine HP Ink Cartridge. The cartridge did not work and did not seem to have any ink in it. Each time I tried to print or make a copy it would just blur the page and the cartridge did not perform as it should. There were dots and smears all over the page. Just to make sure that the printer was working correctly, I installed a new magenta cartridge that I had in the office that I purchased at the local Staples Store and my printer recognized as it a Genuine HP Cartridge and worked fine. This cartridge was not a good purchase and I will not purchase from the HP site again. I would give ZERO stars if the option was available.

My only minor complaint is that online or in. the stores the black original laser jet toner cartridge tends to be pricey. This included in store and online purchase

I was printing reports for my school and there was no black ink. I put back the old cartridge that still had a small amount of ink and printed a test page. It worked. I have to print reports for my school and the defective cartridge was a disappointment.
