Appendix 1 – Promotion Terms and Conditions for the United States of America
Promotional Period
The Promotion will commence for purchases at 00:01 (local time) on April 16, 2025 and continue until 11:59 (local
time) on June 14, 2025 (the “Promotional Period”).
Eligibility
To be eligible to participate in the Promotion you must be an individual over the age of 18
lawfully resident in the United States of America, excluding Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico
("Participant”). In order to be eligible in accordance with these Terms and Conditions,
Participants shall be required to purchase a Promotion Product from the Participating Retailer
during the Promotional Period (as defined below).
Participants must purchase their Promotion Product (defined below) directly and only from HP online (the
“Participating Retailer”).
Offer
Participants who purchase a selected new (i.e. not second hand or refurbished) HP device listed
at Table 1 below (“Promotion Product”) within the Promotional Period from the Participating
Retailer will be entitled to submit their existing PC including desktop or laptop (the “Trade-In
Device”) which meets the Trade-In Criteria below in order to be eligible to receive a reward in
the form of a Virtual Mastercard® Prepaid Card for a face value corresponding to the purchase
price of the Promotion Product purchased as indicated in Table 2 (“Reward”), subject to full
compliance with these Terms and Conditions. Card is issued by Pathward, N.A., Member FDIC,
pursuant to a license from Mastercard International Incorporated. Mastercard is a registered
trademark, and the circles design is a trademark of Mastercard International Incorporated. No
cash access or recurring payments. Can be used everywhere Mastercard debit cards are
accepted. Card valid for up to 6 months upon receipt; unused funds will forfeit after the valid
thru date. Card terms and conditions apply. Except as otherwise required by law, this
promotional offer is limited to one c per household. Participants may be eligible for an
additional Reward of $200 as set out below (“Bonus Reward”).

For your existing Trade-In Device to qualify for the Reward it must be an existing PC (desktop or laptop), that
meets the following criteria (the “Trade-In Criteria”):
- In full working order and undamaged (reasonable wear and tear shall be
acceptable e.g. minor surface wear, minimal battery degradation and minimal
screen wear from standard use);
- provided with the charging cable, battery (which allows the device to run under
its own power for a minimum of 15 minutes) and any other accessory to allow
the relevant device to power on;
- up to 6 years old (age of the device may be checked by an online search of the
serial number and manufacturer, or via its settings);
- any manufacturer, brand or model; and
- unlocked and with all user accounts, passwords and biometric data removed.
Only devices that comply with the Trade-In Criteria will be considered a qualifying “Trade-In Device” for the
purposes of this Promotion.
The Participant must be the sole legal owner of the Trade-in Device. The Promoter and Administrator reserve the
right to verify the legitimacy of ownership and to check the Trade-In Device has not been stolen or obtained through
otherwise unlawful means.
Participants may submit a maximum of one (1) Claim per Promotion Product purchased and subsequent Trade-In Device
submitted, with up to a maximum of two (2) Claims and corresponding Rewards in total per household.
Bonus Reward: Where Participant’s Trade-In Device is an Apple Mac model that meets the Trade-In
Criteria, the Participant may be eligible to receive an additional $200 Bonus Reward.
For the avoidance of doubt, the additional Bonus Reward outlined in this paragraph are in
addition to the Reward payable under this Promotion.
Claims
- Following purchase of an applicable Promotional Product in accordance with these
Terms and Conditions, to make an application for Reward, Participants must visit
http://rebates.hp-promotions.com/hp/pctradein/en-US, enter the unique code
received
from HP.com via email, complete the presented online claim form and submit a copy of
their proof of purchase (the “Claim”). For the avoidance of doubt, Participants must
enter their unique code to submit a Claim. For help finding the unique code, please visit
the FAQ page.
- Claims must be made within sixty (60) days of your date of purchase (“Claim Period”).
The purchase date stated on the relevant proof of purchase shall count as day one (1).
Claims received outside the Claim Period will be marked as invalid and will not be
accepted.
- For questions about the Promotion you should contact the Promoter at
https://rebates.hp-promotions.com/hp/pctradein/en-US/support/contact.
- Provided your Claim request is approved, you will receive a confirmation email within
five (5) working days which will include full instructions detailing how to return the
Trade-In Device (“Provisional Approval Notification”). The Administrator’s recycling
agent will also send separately a prepaid shipping label for the Participant to pack and
send their Trade-In Device to be evaluated.
- Trade-in Devices must be packed securely and individually and each sent complete with
the barcode(s) received within the Provisional Approval Notification. To remain eligible
for the Reward, Participants must dispatch their Trade-In Device within thirty (30) days of
the date of the Provisional Approval Notification.
- Deletion of all data and information stored in any Trade-In Devices submitted by a
Participant and/or other storage media received is the Participant’s absolute
responsibility. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for Participants’ data and
software or for any loss or damage to that data and software. Upon receipt of a Trade-In
Device from a Participant all data will be permanently and irretrievably destroyed.
Please note the Promoter is unable to retrieve any Participant data once a Trade-In
Device has been received.
- Proof of shipping will not be accepted as proof of receipt. The Promoter cannot accept
liability for any Claims or Trade-In Devices that are damaged or destroyed in the post.
Please note Trade-In Devices sent by hand will not be accepted.
- For a device to qualify for the full Reward it must meet the Trade-In Criteria in full. If the
device sent does not meet the Trade-In Criteria, the Claim will be rejected. If a
Participant’s Claim is rejected as invalid the Participant shall have seven (7) working
days to request the return of the device they have shipped. If no response is received
within seven (7) working days from written notice of the rejection, the Participant’s
device will automatically be recycled free of charge.
- Provided that the Participant meets these Terms and Conditions they will receive
confirmation of receipt by email stating that the Claim has been successful and has
been validated and the Reward will be sent by email to the address in the Claim form,
within thirty (30) days.
- . Only invoices and receipts will be accepted as proof of purchase of the Promotional
Product. Where the Participant is not in possession of a proof or purchase for any
reason, a combination of both order confirmation and proof of delivery of the relevant
Promotional Product shall be accepted in place of proof of purchase. If a Participant
fails to provide a valid proof of purchase and/or the Claim is not submitted correctly, the
Participant will be notified via email and offered the opportunity to provide the required
information within seven (7) days.
- Trade-In Devices or Claims that are incomplete or damaged (as appropriate) will be
deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted by the Promoter for delayed or damaged
Trade In Devices or Claims (e.g. which are lost in the post or where online data is not
received or is corrupted).
- The Promoter reserves the right at its absolute discretion to disqualify Claims which it
considers do not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
- The Promoter shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is
reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid Claims including, without
limitation, to require further verification as to proof of purchase, as well as the identity,
age, and other relevant details of a Participant.
- If a Participant returns the Promotional Product after submitting a Claim, the Claim will
be cancelled, and no Reward paid. If you have returned your Promotion Product or
cancelled your order, you should inform the Promoter of that by contacting us at the
details listed above in Condition 3.
- The Promoter reserves the right to check whether a Promotional Product has been
returned and, by submitting a Claim, the Participant provides consent to the Promoter to
do so. The Promoter reserves the right to report suspicious activity or Claims to the
police. This provision does not limit your rights as a consumer under applicable
consumer protection law.
- A Claim must be made by the Participant and must not be made through agents or third
parties.
- The name and address shown on the proof of purchase must match the Participant's
details included on the Claim form.
Privacy and Data Protection
- All information gathered under this Promotion shall be processed in accordance with
the privacy policy available at: https://www.hp.com/us-en/privacy/privacy.html?jumpid=in_R11928_/us/en/corp/privacy-central/privacy-statements.
- Other than as set out in these terms and conditions or for the purposes of operating the
Promotion, any personal data provided by the Participant when entering the Promotion
or claiming the Reward will not be used for any promotional purpose, nor shall they be
passed to any third party unless Participant has provided consent.
General
- The Promoter shall not be liable for any interruption to the Promotion whether due to
force majeure or other factors beyond the Promoter's control.
- The Promoter will not be responsible or liable for: (a) any failure to receive submissions
due to transmission failures and other conditions beyond its reasonable control; (b) any
late, misrouted, or damaged transmissions or claims; (c) any computer or
communications related malfunctions or failures; (d) any disruptions, losses or
damages caused by events beyond the control of the Promoter; or (e) any printing or
typographical errors in any materials associated with the Promotion.
- Participants will be solely responsible for any and all applicable taxes and any other
relevant costs or expenses which are not stated in the Terms and Conditions as included
in this Promotion.
- The Promotion is governed by the laws of the State of California.
