Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great PC, but didnt last long The overall PC was amazing, but the touchscreen stopped working after not even 30 days. Everything you could possibly try did not work. Now, im waiting on a new one in exchange. Im a bit dissapointed becuase this PC is in backorder, so i had to get a different one. Overall, this computer was amazing when it was working, but my experience was very dissapointing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rogerle from Great, but...... After moving from an HP Spectre to the HP OmniBook, I’ve realized how much the keyboard affects the overall experience. The Spectre’s keyboard had raised keys and comfortable spacing, making typing effortless. The OmniBook’s keyboard is almost completely flat with very tight spacing, and it lacks the tactile feedback needed for accurate typing. This has led to frequent errors, not because my typing skills have changed, but because the keyboard design simply isn’t as functional. The camera slider is another issue. It occasionally interferes with Windows Hello Face, causing the laptop to fail to recognize me until I adjust it. The OmniBook has many strengths, but these two design decisions make daily use more difficult than it should be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by P/Raleigh from Only computer that met my needs I was using an older HP 14in laptop computer exclusively for my Tacx indoor smart bicycle trainer; the older computer was slow to startup, and often required hours to download/install Windows updates. I wanted a faster computer with a larger screen. I deliberately chose the OmniBook for the following reasons: i7 processor, 16in screen, and keyboard without the numeric keypad. The laptop works great for its intended purpose (only for my Tacx trainer), and I trust it would work perfectly well for broader applications. Regarding the numeric keypad, I don't understand the point of adding such a keypad to keyboards. It causes the letter keys that get used most often to be off-center, which makes me feel like my arms are always crooked when I'm typing. I much prefer a keyboard without the numeric keypad, which is rare on a 16in laptop computer. Of course, the OmniBook was loaded with the typical amount of worthless bloatware (including OneDrive and the Edge browser) that I had to delete/discard to create a minimalist computer (routine work when getting a new computer). I don't care for the "AI" emphasis, and will likely never use this feature. Overall, this is an excellent computer and I will definitely select the OmniBook again in the future (if it's available) when needing to replace any of my current computers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CJ0! from Great computer! This is a really great computer for people who actually work using theirs- it is fast, has all the ports you need, able to process with exceptional speed. I love the pen included and touch with flip screen. So far---all good! The only complaint is microsoft and their perpetual desire to control-even set up- that is annoying.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Michael C. B. from OmniBook X Potential After being thoroughly confused by what are the differences between all the OmniBook options, I landed on the X. Probably because of the 3k OLED screen, which is stunning. The laptop works well and battery life is good, but I wish it was excellent. I ordered the dark version because I'm tired of the same silver that HP has had for at least a decade now. They really need to start offering color variations. It looks fine but feels like cheap plastic. My previous HP laptop had an island style keypad and this one kind of squeezes all the keys together so I am having to learn not to hit the wrong keys by accident when typing. Hopefully, this is just a learning curve adjustment. Overall, I like the laptop but think that HP can do so much better if they just tried to be an innovative leader focused on quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JeaMad from Mouse undetected the mouse quick tracking after less than 2 weeks use. spent close to 8 hours (cumulative) working with HP support and Ai to troubleshoot. Finally did an exchange, took 10 days for them to do their own assessment once received before triggering the build of the replacement computer and now will be without a laptop for over a month. Disappointed to say the least.

Over the years of development of home and business computers, I have been very pleased with the HP sales communication and knowledge of the various models. I am very glad that your company are using the high tech elements when building the new laptops. With this recent purchase and expedited delivery by FedEx, I continue to be impressed on the delivery and follow-up. Once again, thank you for maintaining a top of the line product and service. It is my expectation that the warranty I added to the purchase will be available with no strings attached. Carolyn H Lindsey

Rated 3 out of 5 by Akinari from Room for improvement Areas for improvement: * Software. Windows 11 is hot garbage, and the HP software bundled with it isn't any better. "HP AI Companion" is what, exactly? I bought this laptop partly to play with AI, but this isn't any of the models or tools I've heard of. It also wants me to log in before I can do anything else, so I won't be using it. There are also frequent popups from something called "Omen Gaming Hub". I certainly didn't ask for that. I opened it to see what it was and it seems to be an ad platform. Some search results recommend against uninstalling it, so I guess I'm stuck with it. You can at least disable the notifications. * Keyboard layout. While I appreciate the lack of 10-key area, I wish they would have found space for separate home, end, page up and page down keys. The power button should not be a key on the keyboard. Also, full-sized arrow keys would be a plus. * Track pad. I want physical buttons. I don't want to tap with two fingers for right click, I want to click a right button. I don't care if that would make the pad area smaller. I'd accept a trackball if it had physical buttons.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Sadiah from Not Good This is the first laptop I’ve had such a bad experience with. The keyboard has stopped working multiple times, the face unlock doesn’t work well, and the system has frozen several times. It’s not fast at all. I still have plenty of storage space left, but the laptop is very slow and keeps getting stuck. The keyboard is the biggest problem because it often stops working. Sometimes I can’t even sign in with my PIN because the keyboard doesn’t respond, and the face recognition doesn’t work either. This has been the worst laptop experience I’ve had. Honestly, I’m wondering if this laptop is really new.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sam M ATX from A+ on the OLED screen, C- on the keyboard It's a really big laptop! It's completely my fault for ordering this model, but it's really too big for my traveling needs. OLED screen is super nice and bright. I just don't like the keyboard; I constantly have trouble finding my home keys and the typing touch is nothing like the Z book (my work laptop).

Rated 5 out of 5 by JKJKJKK from 1 Month, Seriously better than expected! Getting 3k OLED laptop for less than $800 was too intriguing to turn down. First time using 2-in-1, it is indeed heavier than those Ultra-thin mainstream laptops like Gram, GalaxyBook (Previously Owned 3Pro), Zenbook, and Yoga. But, no dealbreaker. I was pleasantly surprised by quality; no much difference to Omnibook Ultra. Started to get used to and love very unique feeling keyboard. Did not receive lemon, so happy for using around at least 3 years. 16gbRAM and 512gbSSD was adequate for me, which I first worried but 8533MT is pretty fast so I am content. It is onboard but for several years it is fine since I use it as a carrying machine with basic business travel needs. Battery life is not the best of its class, but for me it was fine, it lasted for 5 hours continous heavy using of battery and no need for battery saver activation. Too many bloatwares, but the HP app and Support app is adequate and those actually are not that bad than what I feared. COPILOT is okay. Not good, but I would not call it bad. Glad that I add one more positive experience with HP product; glad that I never get to experience bad ones.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Omni X flip from I miss my full sized keyboard I saw good videos on the Omni X 2 in 1 16t so I decided to buy - Pros: I like the dark color, touch screen, pen and easy setup Cons: I didn't realize how I dislike not having a full sized keyboard especially when using the calculator function - the keys are not spaced & each key feels exactly the same making it difficult for fingers to find 'F' & 'J' keys - the keyboard just feels cramped with plenty of wasted space surrounding - I wanted the older 15" layout but HP only provided the updated memory, storage, Bluetooth & monitor with this model - it's basically future proof but not what I was hoping Having to use one of the only two USB -C as a charging port seems ill thought out and cheap - plus constantly plugging and unplugging that port makes me think it will eventually fail or become loose - Lots of bloatware but that is to be expected from a new laptop All in all I got what I bought but I would not get this model or non-full sized keyboard again

Rated 3 out of 5 by C. Bertram from OmniBook X Laptop I like the flip option for this laptop. However, I’m not a fan of the keyboard. I have a hard time getting my fingers in the right spots. I also prefer to have a separate numbers pad to the right of the keyboard. I hate the mouse pad. There is NO right and left click option on the mouse pad. I was much happier with my previous HP laptop.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Roadjunky from Does not work with HP Thunderbolt 4 Ultra In general the PC has performed okay but have not done much with it. I gave it only 2 stars just because I was talked into purschasing the docking station and it would not connected. Under the suggetions I exchanged for another but same issue (no BIOS settings to adjust). After many conversations with tech support it was mentioned HP has had complaints about this issue and must be compatiblity problem with the OmniBook x. Fine, then they need to fix it or indicate the problem rather than waste my time waiting and talking on the phone for hours. I would expected better from HP, next upgrade will look else where.

Rated 4 out of 5 by visuallyimpaired from Good laptop for the visually impaired This laptop checks all the boxes I needed (not wanted) in a computer for the visually impaired. It has a large 16" bright vivid OLED display (the larger, the better). It has a touchscreen (critical when the cursor is hard to find). It has a backlit keyboard that can be preset to be always on (essential in poor lighting). What can be improved is to provide one more notch of brightness in the control of the backlit, to make the backlit even brighter for the visually impaired. For this deficit, I took one star off the rating. With a brighter backlit keyboard, it would be a great laptop for the visually impaired

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sanjay H from Great laptop. Needs better keybord This laptop is well built, fast and excellent graphics. 2 in 1 also works quite well. The main problem is with the limited keyboard. For a 16" laptop you expect a large, ergonomically comfortable keypad with a numeric attachment. This falls well short. There is plenty of room on the surface so makes no sense why we have this crammed and limited KB.

Rated 5 out of 5 by First 2-1. from Office/personal use. Bought this during black Friday. Fantastic 3k OLED screen. Computer works really well. One minor complaint I have is the keyboard. The keys are at a little different distance than a standard keyboard. Took me about 2-3 weeks to get used to it and reduce accidental clicks. 2-1 is really cool and comes with a stylus. Use it as a laptop 99% of the time since it's primarily at work
