Rated 5 out of 5 by MomAlmighty from Great printer! I'm impressed with the speed, quietness, print quality, and versatility of this printer. I am very happy with it. My cat:is not happy; she used to sit on top of my old HP printer because it was flat. She would liek to register her complaint.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Initial Problem with New Printer After purchasing the printer and setting it up, I printed about 5 to 10 sheets and everything was fine. A few days later, I went to print something else and every page was blank. After calling HP for help because the printer was only two weeks old, they figured that the amount of ink in the original package was not enough to last any length of time. They did send me new cartridges and it’s now working fine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from HP 8130e (Not 8135e as noted) I regret purchasing this printer! At this time, I still haven't been able to load the scan app, the printer will not print on both sides, it frequently goes into "error mode", etc. Calling for help? After an hour or so on hold, if you're able to talk to someone, English is a third language with a poor connection...at least the AI help is understandable. Virtually no instructions accompany the printer. The paper drawer is flimsy...and that's being generous and difficult to adjust for different paper sizes. I'm attempting to repair my old HP 8740 printer and if I'm successful, I'm going to junk the 8130, even with a 3 year warranty. If not, I'm going to Best Buy, purchase another version and still junk the 8130. HP can do better.

I told him I n eeded an AIO unit that duples printed, Duplex scanned and duples copied. The 8139e does two side print, but scan & copy are manual duplex.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Not as good as my older one. I thought this would be similar to the last one I owned, but I have had a few issues. The wifi does not connect as easily, when using the feeder the pages can be misaligned, and it seems like it is harder to get the pages to print properly. It's a good thing I don't have a lot of things to print or I would probably be returning it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from The best printer on the market HP printer is quick, easy to use as everything is digital so you can’t make a mistake because it tells you what to do all the time. The print quality is exquisite and the free ink for the year is definitely a bonus.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Lottiero from Set Up Challenging Two stars ** for setup. We decided to replace our HP "ENVYPhoto 7855." The Pro 8139e looked like a good price option what with the HP Sale, plus "3 Months of Instant Ink for FREE." We had no idea of the challenge ahead of us in setting it up what with its 2"x11/2" screen using many new symbols which were mostly new to us. We had to depend on Google Search to finally complete the task. Compared to the ease of set up and operation of the 7855 the 8130e was a challenge. Also, the quality of the 8139e was not the quality of the sturdy 7855. Multiple entries needed to "modify" then print a #10 envelope. The HP7855 was much easier. Outside of this...every thing's alright.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Incorrect information. I had been trying for days to return the printer, finally given customer service number. Called yesterday and was told the I could have the printer picked up at my address. Filled out all the documents and put all documents that was requested and put on my porch. Reason for pickup on my porch is due to my 84 and too heavy for me to take to Fedex and my being sick, lady was nice. Then I get an email to take to fedex, very unhappy. My printer and desktop are HP products.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Lee HP from HP account set up problems will break the printer I had everything up and running. I had added the printer to the app. I did all the set up steps in the app. It was printing. Then I tried to print a few days later and it didn’t work. It said set up with the HP app and account was incomplete. Somehow, this meant I couldn’t print. I bought a printer, not an online subscription to print, so that shouldn’t happen. I read all the FAQs, watched videos on the app, and there was no way to finish set up (whatever it was that was left to do). Keep in mind, this is not setting up or calibrating the printer, it was linking it to the online account that had made it stop printing. It trapped me in an endless loop, so I couldn’t finish set up. Eventually, I had to remove the printer from my HP account (which wasn’t easy), factory reset the printer, and this time it let me finish set up. Ridiculous.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from 8139e Review I'm very disappointed in this one. It doesn't connect with my computer. I've had it connected 3 times and it still fails to stay connected. Thanks, HP. As far as I'm concerned, I have a $180.00 paper weight. I'm ready to change brands. But, if I do, they will probably have the same procedure. Wipe it off, pack it up and resell it. "Just got a commission check for that one!" (lol) 😆

Do the current models of HP AIOs include OCR capability?

It is possible to turn off automatic double side printing, or turn it to single page print?

Asked by: MaxFm
Thank you for your question! Typically you do this on your PC. Go to control panel, devices and printers, right-click the icon for the printer and from the drop-down menu select printer properties. On the window that opens click Advanced and then printer defaults and turn off duplex. Do the same for printer preferences on the general tab.

When I scan a document to my computer, it only scans the actual text and not the space around the text, making a letter for example look really odd as it shrinks it down to just the writing with no border. How do I change this?

Asked by: Darren B
Hello Darren and thank you for your question! To scan an entire image on an HP OfficeJet, you can use the Full option or manually adjust the scan boundaries: Place the original on the scanner glass or into the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) Touch Scan on the control panel If prompted, select Auto to let the app select the edges of the item, or Full to keep the entire capture If prompted, click Apply or Next If further help is needed, please contact HP Tech Support at this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en
