Great Economical Printer except Not Compatible with windows 7.
Great Features. Color is brilliant just like I would expect from an HP printer. My only dissatisfaction is that the printer driver does not work with Windows 7. I know most have computers that are up to date, but my 7 works fine for what I use it for, and I would think that the printer driver could be made to work with Windiws 7. It does, however, do a great job with my pictures when on my Windows 11 laptop.

Printer Was Never Delivered
Your customer service is the worst ever! I have tried calling, sending emails, and contacting HP through the website. I have 2 case numbers where this is supposed to be investigated, because FedEx left this printer on the road and never delivered it to my home. We have not been able to find the printer and are assuming that someone took it from the roadside where FedEx left it! I'm not paying for something that I do not have, and cannot use!

Not friendly
The software to link to a HP computer is not friendly or easy. My old 7900 was much better. I have to be close to the printer for them to link up. It will not allow me to print using my wifi. Not better or improved. My next printer will probably be from a different supplier.

A capable, sturdy printer at a nice price point - but lacking some features
I bought this printer to replace an HP Envy 7640 that couldn't communicate with the Instant Ink program. It was delivered quickly, and attached to the network without issue. The installation was a breeze. I was very happy with the price; it is a fine solution for home use. The packaging was excellent - the printer was well protected inside a box that was placed inside a larger box with more protecting bubble stuff.
That said, I found some compromises from my HP 7640, which I rate as "Excellent". We also have an HP 7800 series on another computer that I would rate "Excellent". So why the 4 stars instead of 5?
First of all, it is bigger than the 7640. Significantly bulkier. Second, it no longer includes a FAX function - not used very often, I'll admit, but when you need it you need it. Third, when you print, if you forget to pull out the tray, the paper ejects on to the floor. The 7640 automatically opened the tray to receive printed material.
In terms of performance (what really counts) it is just as good in print quality as either of our other printers. It seems to be a bit more fussy on accepting special paper that is thinner, but with care it gets the job done. The controls are very similar to the other HP printers we have; once you get into the "HP Ecosystem" you understand the control panel options and how they work.
At this price point, it is less expensive than the other two HP printers we bought in the past, and that's a big plus; but there doesn't appear to be an option for a pricier Envy printer that has more bells and whistles.
I've used it so far to copy, scan, and print; it does an excellent job on all three. However some years ago I began using the "VueScan" app on my Mac to do scanning, because it has multiple additional features after it captures the scanned image. In any event, VueScan and the HP printers play nicely together.
I looked at other options, and other manufacturers, but the interface of the HP Envy 7975 and the Mac Studio desktop is seamless, as were the other two Envy printers, so why mess with success? The HP drivers seem to be well done and compatible with the latest Mac software, a really big plus. Windows 11 on our PC has had no problems sending print jobs to the Envy 7975 over our wireless hookup.
One of the best features, in my opinion, is the use of replaceable cartridges. I'll admit that I haven't had much experience with the "refill" type of printers, but whenever a cartridge is replaced, you get a new print head. We've had a printer sit unused for several months, and running a cleaning routine from the HP software has restored a partially used cartridge to full functionality. I guess I'm of the belief "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". So we have Instant Ink on all the printers.
Oh yes, the old 7640 that I gave up for dead got fixed remotely by HP after about a week of back and forth chats and repair attempts. I gave up and ordered this new printer, but HP eventually did something from their end to reattach the old printer to their network; now I have three printers, but will put all of them to good use. And having all three, I have been able to compare their operation; other than the issues of some features I miss that were mentioned above, all three are equivalent in print speed, print quality, and reliability.
This HP 7975 is as close to plug and play as I've seen, particularly using it wireless, it works seamlessly from my phone, my tablet, my laptop, and the two desktop computers. Other than having been willing to spend a bit more for some additional features, this printer does the job very, very well.

Fast, straight-forward printer
Turning off quiet mode, it is a fast printer for both text and photo. Only two nicks. First, the supplied drivers did not work; after discussing with tech support, reverted to an earlier driver set which solved the problem. Second, with previous HP printers, I set a default configuration to print in Black only. Can't seem to be able to do that with this printer/driver set.

ACCORDING TO THE REVIEW I READ ON THIS PRINT; IT WAS SUPPOSED TO DO AN EXCELLENT JOB WHEN COPYING PHOTOS, BIGGEST PREFABRICATCATION I'VE READ IN YEARS!!! THE FIRST HP PRINTER I OWNED MORE THAN 12 YEARS AGO GAVE A BETTER QUALITY ON COPING PHOTOGRAPHS THAN DOES THIS 7975!!!

Out with the older "7645" and in with the new
I am looking forward to bringing my new printer online. I still have ink for my older 7645 that I am using up.
I know this new printer will do everything and more that the older one has done for me for years. I plan to bring it online in the next 2 weeks.
My order process was exceptional and the delivery time was very impressive.
Thank you for great Customer Service! It is very hard to find these days.

Not happy
I purchased the HP Envy Photo 7975 All-in-One printer and the ordering process seemed easy at first — but it turned out not to be as smooth as expected. During checkout, I selected the paper and ink plan, but it apparently did not activate properly.
After setting up the printer, I printed my first job of about 50 pages and the ink was already depleted. I assumed the ink subscription plan had kicked in and that replacement cartridges would automatically be sent — but nothing arrived. I later discovered I had to log back in and manually select and confirm both the ink and paper plans again.
Because of the ink running out so quickly and the delay with the subscription setup, I haven’t even been able to print any photos yet. I was in the middle of creating a journal notebook project with photos included, and I couldn’t complete it due to the ink issue. Now I’m stuck waiting even longer for supplies.
Overall, the printer setup and subscription enrollment process needs to be clearer and more reliable. It caused delays and frustration right out of the gate.

Efficient printer
Great printer all in one printer. It’s efficient at printing large images and graphics. I got more ink through the HP subscription. Through WiFi, it can detect ink or paper levels for automatic refills. It’s large, so you need some extra space on a desk. It’s easy to use; just navigate through the screen or print straight from a computer. Everything is straightforward on the HP Envy photo 7975.

New vs old
My old HP printer 7800 work much better than the newer 7975 printer. On the 7800 printer the slide catcher for the printed paper would automatically open, the 7900 doesn't. The 123456-auto activation to print is slower than the 7800. At times the printer would print half a page, and it would stop.

HP Envy Photo 7975 has not been a good printer for me!
I am not satisfied with this printer. I don't know what it's problem is. I have reached out to HP with the issues with no response. The printer will shut off on it's own and then it tells me I shut it down improperly. The power plug does not fit snug so I have it pushed against the wall to keep it in. But every day, I have to jiggle that power plug to wake it up and use it. I like my printer to be ready and waiting for me. Not me having to prompt it. I don't care for the paper extender. It is difficult to pull out and I worry it will break. I don't want to leave it out because it is a bit flimsy and I fear if I bump it, it will break. HP stopped making my last printer, which I loved and lasted for 10 solid years. I don't anticipate keeping this one long as it is not working well for me. I don't recommend it to anyone who needs their printer ready and waiting for them. If you have the time to wait for it to wake up and want to work for you, then go for it. Otherwise, move on to another printer.

HP App is this printer’s biggest negative
The printer itself works fine. My biggest complaint is with the requirement of using the HP app to print because it is very slow to process a request. I preferred the ability I had with my old HP printer to use the generic print function. The response with the generic function was immediate.

Easy to use and great for everyday printing
I’ve been using the HP Envy Photo 7975 for a while now, and it’s honestly been a really solid home printer. Setup was pretty painless, and once it was on Wi-Fi I could print straight from my phone or laptop without messing with cables. I’ve mostly used it for printing photos, seasonal cards, and regular documents, and the print quality has been consistently sharp, especially for photos where the colors come out really nice. It’s also quick enough that I’m not standing around waiting, and switching between photo paper and regular paper has been easy. Overall, it fits well into everyday use and feels reliable without being complicated, which is exactly what I wanted.

Great printer for photos
The value of this printer and the price I actually paid, really go hand-in-hand at one of the best deals I could’ve asked for in forever. Will the capabilities of wanting everyday document printing and photo printing capabilities, being budget-friendly and an all-in-one, the possibilities are endless with this new toy I get to play with. Having wireless connectivity, a dedicated photo tray, automatic two-sided printing, and mobile printing support are just a few of the product perks I get to enjoy. There may be some quirks that are, of course, gonna be in the way sometimes, but we can always nip them in the bud without having too many hiccups. App setup issues along with the initial cartridge errors, the cost of ink, and paper capacity tend to cause the most criticized of quirks. But the versatility and reliability of this said printer are what makes the whole process worth it!

Finally good photos!
I’m so happy with my choice of printer - the HP Envy Photo 7975. Many printers just can’t do justice to photos. This printer blows those away. The fact that it’s all-in-one with a top feeder AND prints photos well is a dream. The touch screen is easy to use, as is the app. Connecting to it was very easy. The paper drawer has 2 compartments. One is your typical printer paper compartment, then there’s a separate compartment for different sizes of photo paper. We’ve been using 4x6 photo paper from HP. The pictures look so good! I’m excited to print other sizes. I just bought some HP photo paper in various sizes and finishes. I can’t wait! I don’t know how it does it but the pics are good to go the minute they come out of the printer. How do they dry that quickly?! (I wish my hair would do that.) Oh! It’s also fairly quiet. The standard mode is not really loud and prints a bit quicker. The quiet mode causes slower printing, but is quieter while it does so. I highly recommend this printer. Just get it. You know your phone has photos you really want framed. Why not now?

Great Printer
This HP Envy Photo printer has been a great addition to our home. Setup was extremely easy, and it connected to our Wi‑Fi and all of our devices without any issues. It prints fast and quiet, and the ink subscription is a huge plus because I can have ink sent automatically and never have to remember to buy it.
I also own another printer, and it was always a struggle to get it connected to the internet, and it frequently disconnected from our devices. It prints well enough, but the HP delivers noticeably better print quality. I am excited to finally print out some of the photos that have been sitting on my phone. Overall, this is a great printer that I highly recommend.

Prints Easily and Quietly
The first thing I noticed about the HP Envy 7975 is how quietly it prints. I sat directly next to it and barely noticed any obnoxiously loud sounds. It was easy to set up. I only had to plug in the cord and install the app. It took a few minutes to connect and install the necessary software. The power cord is a little too short for my liking though. It kept coming loose, and I had to start over at one point. I like that there’s no need to plug it directly into the computer. It works via WIFI/bluetooth perfectly fine. It printed papers easily with the touch of a button. I also used the scan function from my phone, which is really nice and quick. Overall, I love the different options to print or scan. I can use the screen, my phone, or my laptop to quickly access the printer.

Good mid-level Printer
Perhaps I'm just old fashioned but what ever happened to fax capabilities on a printer? If you're like me, some businesses prefer a fax, rather than an email. I own a small business and really wanted to love this printer. Besides the no fax feature, this is a pretty decent printer. Printing photos was a tad below average. I've yet to find a all in one printer that prints professional quality photos.
Moving on to the setup. Simple, quick and easy. The app walks you through everything and for the first time, the instructions are well thought out. The print by page feature is hands down one of the best ideas that I've seen in the copy field in some time. For example, what you pay monthly is way less than buying ink cartridges. A high yield (XL) cartridge will cost roughly 65 bucks and prints around 700 pages. The monthly business tier is around 32 bucks and you get both ink cartridges (black and multi). That in itself is a game changer. The printer speed is average at best. Color printing is slower than my previous HP printer.

Prints well and fast enough
I like this printer because the setup was easy and the HP app works smoothly. Just plug in the printer, a QR code shows up on the printer touchscreen to install the app, once that is installed the app will walk you through installing the ink cartridges and connecting to wifi. If you do not already have a HP account, you'll need to create one.
Additional features I appreciate are the double sided printing, photo editing functionality. I printed one color picture on a regular A4 paper, and it came out surprising well. I am looking forward to many more pictures in the future.
The printer looks classy, compact and is lightweight. Very easy to move around. Touchscreen is easy to navigate.
For everyday printing, this printer definitely checks all the boxes.
