Forced monopoly should be illegal
The HP toner works fine. It's way too expensive. I miss the days of being able to use off-brand cartridges and even being able to refill some cartridges. Those always worked well for me. It says something about how well they worked that, in order to have a monopoly on ink, HP and others had to resort to hiding the fact that it's HP brand in a computer chip. It's nice HP recycles their cartridges. They should recycle others' as well since no one can use them.

Expensive but it works and is superior to generic products
To be honest, I was shocked at the price of one container of tóner. But, having had unfortunate experiences with fake HP products that either did not work or did not have good print quality, I decided to give it a try. Super easy to install, easy to return old cartridge, and excellent print quality. If this lasts a good amount of time I will likely continue to buy it here.

Works, but Proprietary and Expensive
Generic cartridges worked fine until they made a firmware update on the printers. Then only HP’s proprietary and very expensive cartridges worked. You can get generic refurbished whole set of cartridges for the price of 1 of these. A set of these…cost as much as the printer as a whole.

Complete rip off. I just had to replace 4 toner cartridges in my HP printer (black, cyan, yellow and magenta). The cost to replace with high-yield cartridges? Just shy of $1,000. Yes, $1,000 for the 4. Compatible cartridges available online are programmed to be rejected by my HP printer as not being authentic HP product. Instead of being helpful to customers, HP is making sure to fill their own coffers. Sell cheap printers with hardly toner and then suck customers dry with having to buy toner from HP alone. Way to go HP.

Toner is fine, wish it was included in HP's instant ink program especially since we haven't found where to recycle or dispose of the empty cartridges.

My review isn’t so much about the toner as much as it’s about how poorly HP is run. I have recently purchased a laptop and a laser printer from this company. Getting these items registered and the warranty in place has been a nightmare! I have sent pictures of the serial numbers and all relevant info, as requested, several times and never get it moving forward. I have received emailed addressed to other people asking for information so I know I’m not alone and now have to also be concerned about the security of my information. The laser printer, that I bought two mo the ago brand new, say the warranty expired in 2023 in HP Smart App. This company is a joke and my next tech purchase will not be HP

Continued shipping problems
HP continues to ship products that are not packaged wel, or at all. My black toner was shipped in the original box only (even though I ordered 4 toner cartridges together they came in 3 different shipments). The black toner box apparently sat in water, was opened by the shipper, resealed and sent to me and the cartridge was damaged. This would not have happened if HP did a consolidated shipment in appropriate packaging. Instead of immediately shipping a replacement, HP is waiting until my cartridge is returned to ship a replacement. Meanwhile I am out of toner. An no, I would not prefer to do Instant Ink, I'd prefer to have them ship what I paid for together as one shipment in appropriate packaging. I had a similar incident with paper that I ordered from HP.
