This was perfect for me.
I love my laptop. I am an animator so this was perfect for me. I am using it for 3D in Maya and designing in unreal engine. I wanted a laptop that could do what my desktop OMEN can do on the go. It is good qualtity. The design of the laptop feel vintage. I did alot of research before making this decision. The Graphic card was important, the memory, I am an Intel® Core™ i7 girl and the storage. I basically made a list of all the programs I will be using on the laptop and made my decsion. The programs are all adobe product like photoshop, illustrator, 3D substance, indesign, 3D in maya, and unreal engine. I do also have a hard drive as well for saving my projects. Overall this was a perfect laptop for me in this season, as a designer.

Great laptop, OK battery life
The HP Omen gaming laptop feels very well-made, the screen is nice and it is plenty fast to do anything I need to do, including the CAD programs I run, and it has no problem with multiple graphics-intensive programs running simultaneously. The only reason I took away one star is that the 4-cell battery just doesn’t hold enough power to last very long while doing everything the laptop is capable of. I would say a full charge lasts from 45 minutes to an hour and 15, depending.

Decent laptop for the price
Overall not a bad laptop. I wanted to play AoE4 and expansion pack and Baulders Gate III. Only thing that get annoying is when resolution is set to highest to play games and then you stop and exit game the screen flickers a lot. Only fix I am able to do is reset resolution in safe mode and that fixes it till the next time.

Do any HP laptops have a optical drive
Thank you for your question! As consumer demands for laptops lean towards slimmer, lighter, and longer battery life, internal DVD disc drives are no longer being offered. An external USB is a great option for this.
