But HP customer service has been an important and integral part of my computer experience so far. In short, so far, my experience has been a nightmare. Strictly speaking about the computer, I can say that for the one week I had it, the computer was great. On the eighth day, the computer stopped booting up, apparently because the motherboard (‘main board’) stopped working. HP repair informed me that the motherboard is ‘back ordered’, and that the unit will be back in my hands on Jan. 31, 2026. Suffice to say that I started a return/refund request to make certain that I was in the timely window of a return/refund.

Good value for money, however would have liked to have seen additional ports for 3.1 and 3.2 USB Ports. For some reason the external drives I used with my old 10+ year old PC (Another HP) appear to perform far better than this new machine. I will be spending some time to figure this out as that should not be the case. All are USB 3.0 external drives.
