The effect is really cool when you are playing high intense games with a lot of action. The resolution is top notch. The only thing I would like to change is the dimensions...with it's 34 inch wide...it is only 14.5 inches in height. I would have loved it if it was the full 17 inches in height.

    How do i get Monitor to run 1440p at 120hz while connected to my xbox series x using an hdmi 2.1 cord in the hdmi 2.0 port on the monitor

    Thank you for your question! The Xbox Series X supports a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz for 4K gaming, 1440p, and 1080p. However, the refresh rate is set to 60 Hz by default for 4K UHD and 720p resolutions. To enable 4K gaming at 120 Hz, you can: Press the Xbox button to open the guide Select Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options Set your Resolution to 4K UHD and your Refresh rate to 120 Hz To take full advantage of the Xbox Series X, you'll need a 4K monitor with HDMI 2.1 bandwidth. Some 1440p monitors can downscale a 4K signal, but many can only do so at 60 Hz because they are limited to HDMI 2.0 bandwidth.

    Will this monitor be able to run 144 hz when connected to a gaming laptop by a hdmi 2.1 cable? Or can it only get to 144hz with a display port cable?

    Thank you for your question! HDMI 2.1 can support a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz at 4K resolution and a staggering 240Hz at 1080p resolution. This will of course be reliant on the video itself and the cable being an HDMI 2.1 cable.

    Thank you for your question! This OMEN 34c will be compatible with any device that uses DisplayPort™ and HDMI for video. Be aware the OMEn 34c does not have built-in speakers so external speakers or headphones will need to be used. The OMEN 34C does have a 3.5 mm Audio Jack (Audio Out) for this purpose.
