Doesn’t matter how you go about it the RGB lights will not stay off. Even called their support and they agent came out and said “it’s complicated it involves command prompts and even then they won’t always stay off.” That was a verbatim quote. I have a towel over the tower while watching movies as these obnoxious lights make watching anything impossible. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING OMEN.

Omen 40L is a solid pre built PC.
The 40L PC is great. The case stays cool under heavy gaming, and has a user friendly omen hub app to customize lighting. I’ve noticed two downsides. First, the front diamond RGB light glitches when putting the PC to sleep or during other common functions. The other downside is when you receive the delivery you may have to recable some cables as they were not aesthetic upon delivery.

does everything i wanted it to it can easily handle a duel screen set up and playing a steam game while streaming to multiple platforms. 10/10 for my wife who streams.

This PC runs slower than the one I wanted to replace. Windows 11 didn't help speeds operations up, either. I was looking for a PC that would be snappy in getting things done, not this boat anchor.

I just recently bought one of these but am having a hard time figuring out how to expand my ssd storage without removing the original? Can you even recommend what ssd will work and where or how I can upgrade my ssd storage? I need an ncle x16 expan?
Thank you for your question! This Omen 40L Desktop features three m.2 slots for expansion. Two of which can be used for m.2 NVMe SSD expansion. Most any m.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs will be compatible.

Can you recommend any ssd that would be a good choice or even compatible with this pc for the ssd expansion slot? I’m still having a hard time understanding where and how I put a new ssd in this and even looked at the back by the power unit.
Thank you for your question! This Omen 40L has 3 M.2 (2 for SSD, 1 for WLAN) expansion slots. Any PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD would be fine with this PC. There are no slots for SATA SSDs. There may be ports for it on the motherboard but no brackets. Perhaps this is where the disconnect is happening. If this doesn't help it is recommended to contact HP Technical Support directly.
