Great to speak to well-spoken sales support tech
The support after I received the Tower was 5 stars. The 4 stars comes from the fact the PC would not boot up when I received it. 5 stars to the post sale support. Patrick was top notch.
It was great to speak to a well speaking human being on my call. After trying various scenarios, a corrupt bios install was the culprit, and the PC has been flawless ever since. Cudos to HP for the understandable tech support agents and quick resolution of a manufacturing issue.

The agent who sent me the link, sent me the wrong link. I told them I needed to connect via WIFI and it has no WIFI. I have gotten no resolution to the issue.

Very good buy.
I'm very happy with my purchase. The only issue was connecting the pc monitor to the computer. Had to by a connector for it at best buy but after that I got everything hooked up and running just fine.

Included keyboard was broken. Frustrated!!
I can't even review the PC because I can't get into it as my windows Password requires a key that will not work on the included keyboard. Absolutely pathetic QC that they don't check all keys on a keyboard work, and the quality of the keyboard is pretty low to begin with. For a high-end PC like this, I expect something of quality in the box OR NOTHING. That way I know I need 3rd party accessories instead of including these kiddy peripherals.

They end up sending me a workstation with google chrome system instead of window system. It is useless and couldn't be set up and I have to return it.

An honest, non-paid review.
Great upgrade from the laptop I was using. I still want to expand it with a better graphics card, but can do that with this machine. It is much faster, and much more reliable, and I feel more secure with a direct connection as opposed to wireless. I guess it all depends on where you are coming from when you buy this item. For me it was a huge step up, and I'm glad I did. And I still have room for expansion. No-one should give 5 stars to any review, because tech changes fast. If that were not true, I would have given 5 stars.

The transition from 10 to 11. A new journey.
Still using 110% of what I need. This new workstation will keep me current for what is to come in the Tech area. The transition from 10 to 11 is different, but providing more that I was accustomed to. Many features that I know I will come to love, once I understand all of them.

everything as expected. setup was easy and fast brought over my licenses and pre installed office came up quickly, some apps auto installed some I had to verify where to get the app. System is fast, video card is quick.

Computer initial start up issues
I'm having difficulty setting up my computer. I've contacted both HP ans Microsoft technical support and have received no support, only 3rd parties who want to charge $50 for support. This is a HP issue and they are not owning it.

Good and bad,

There's a lot I like about the machine but a whole lot I don's like about trying, and failing to get information to modify or up grade it.

Amazing Workstation for Large Data Jobs
I bought the Z2 Tower G9 to replace my Z2 Mini G4, and this workstation just screams through python data manipulation and analysis tasks. Very very happy, easy to upgrade with zero tools, the BIOS and drivers are stable with WIn11, and it's awesome that my old Mini G4 is still seeing updates too. I wouldn't buy anything else but HP Z, they are nailing it.

Superb Machine
I've been a computer builder for the previous three desktop computers here at home. But the high prices and sketchy availability of components drove me to consider name brand shelf options. Took me a while, but I (finally) stumbled upon HP's professional workstation machines. I was very impressed with the capabilities of the machine, and the fact that HP allowed me to customize the machine. But the icing on the cake was the deep discounts that followed!
Overall the machine is very impressive. Makes no noise (fan speed) 99.8% of the time; runs very cool; the machine is very capable and fast; the machine handles every sort of multi-tasking that I've (deliberately) thrown at it. I love this machine!

Needed More Than a Tower PC Can Provide
Needed a PC with higher-than-normal Graphics capability and a Mother Board with more than 2 PCI slots. (BTW - Try finding a Tower PC with more than two PCI slots). The HP Z2 G9 meet my expectations and then some. Decked out with 32GB of Memory, 1TB SSD and 8GB Graphis card, this is a serious Workstation and get this, at an affordable price. Yes, it costs a little more than a Tower PC, but the upgrade in hardware capability is worth it over the long run. Thanks HP, for keeping this higher end PC option available to consumers that need more than the typical Tower PC can provide!

Good PC, Superior Support
The PC was as expected; a good value. Highly recommend. Now to the after purchase support through the business unit. It was OUTSTANDING because of David Baca. First, it wasn't an off shore encounter which earns HP several stars from my perspective. After setting up the PC with my older monitor I noticed blue/pink lines shooting across the screen. I called support and David quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty video cable. Beyond that he explained the PC in depth and answered all questions I had. He also scheduled a call the next day to make sure all was okay. He was timely with that call and continued to explain and answer my questions. Just a great experience. Enough so that I steered away from the curved screen monitor I was going to purchase and went with an HP model David recommended. HP is fortunate to have David and if you get him on a support call, I know you will be pleased as well.

What chipset does the motherboard use? I've read that i9-12900K gains ECC support when paired with W680 chipset. Is the motherboard chipset ECC compatible with I9?

What is the maximum size of memory compatible with this computer? I see that the maximum I can buy is 128 GB (4x32 GB) but is that a limit or would it be possible to upgrade it with our own 256 GB (4 x 64 GB) RAM kit? Thank you!
