Initial setup, Wi-Fi Driver not preinstalled.
My system did not have the wi-fi driver preinstalled, so I had to review multiple videos to even go through the initial setup offline. I am currently trying to access the BIOS to find the right wifi driver, but even going through the settings to do the advanced restart it not going through the process. I gave a two star because the hardware I got with the Z2 setup was fantastic (and if the wife driver was present straight out of the box it would be 5/5) but not coming with a very basic feature like that wi-fi driver effectively means I have a brick sitting on my desk until I figure out how to fix it.

Very Fast and Loaded with the Best Features
Very fast due to DDR5-4800 RAM. Compared to my old Z2 G4 its 1.75 inch wider, has a bigger back-lighted on-off button and has more USB plugs on the front side. The price is low for having many of the best features: 5.6 GHz i9, NVIDIA T1000 8GB, Windows 11 Pro, and 1TB SSD.

COMPUTER TO HOOK UP TO TV FOR STREAMING
I was in need of a small computer box to hook up to my TVZ so i can stream my TV i had a small Zotac box which was very outdated . In speaking with representative at HP the small cubes they had i could not customize to exactly what i needed. So the representative found this model it is alot bigger then expected but does fit on shelf under TV it had alot more then i originally wanted and at a decent price . It works really well my only thing it does seem a bit sliw when booting up other then that no complaints or issues it works well for what i need it for

Very fast machine with solid build quality
I've only had the machine for ten days, but so far I'm very pleased with it. Very fast with the i9 processor, 64 mb RAM, SSD, and NVidia card. Build quality is very solid. Based on my experience so far, our business will purchase additional machines. My only complaint so far is the inclusion of HP's virus/malware software. I understand the reason, but most users will likely use a third party (Norton, McAffee, etc.). The HP software doesn't coexist well with Norton, so we had to disable the HP program. I would recommend that HP offer this as an option rather than as the default. Otherwise very happy with the machine and HP's service so far.

has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 20Gbps port for newer external drives (needed for 8K video transfer),
came with NVIDIA RTX A2000 (12GB) graphics card,
and, so far, HP Service has been flawless and patient. HP has vastly improved their products, diagnostic software and service since last time I bought an HP computer (8 years ago).

HP is a nightmare to deal with. Searched for and thought I had bought a mini pc. Got this in comparison giant box. And had to go through a week of terrible customer service people to return it.

Blazing fast...buy your computer customized.
This is a great computer, but it's missing a few accessories and components. At a list price of more than 4 thousand dollars, what could be missing? For starters, there is no optical drive, but I knew that before pressing the add-to-cart button. Ah, but there is a drive bay for an optical drive, so I thought I would just buy it separately and install it myself. An online chat with Agent (Sarah P) that lasted 10 minutes led to her response to my question about what drive to add to the order as follows: Agent (Sarah P): "Yes since they only sell parts in our store we only sell full models and some cables but that's about it". I tried to find a part number for this drive on my own and was unsuccessful --- minus one star.
At over 4 thousand dollars, you get just one drive, and it's only 512GB, but I knew that before ordering. "I could add a hard drive myself after I receive the computer because, like the optical drive bay, there's also a drive bay for a hard drive," I thought. Well, there is a bay, but the disc holder is missing. Good luck trying to find the part number to order one from the parts online store (a separate division of HP). The aggravation of having to find the correct part number and having to pay for something which should be part of the computer prompted me to deduct another star.
This computer has a slot for a media card to be inserted so when I tried to do that it wouldn't work. It seems that the media device is missing, and HP put a cover over the slot to make the front bezel look clean. This I should have known from the specs, so no star deducted. Again, good luck finding the part number.
So why did I buy this computer? Easy, since the computer was preassembled and packaged ready to ship, HP offered a good sale price over the Memorial Day weekend, and I received the computer in a couple of days. Like I said at the top of this review, this is a great computer. It is very fast. A search for a file in a large directory was faster than any computer I ever owned. Transferring files from one server to another (files going through this computer) was also very fast, even over a 1 G ethernet connection. Basic computing chores are zippy. Also, the computer is very quiet... and did I say it is blazing fast?
My advice to prospective buyers, you won't go wrong with a Z2 SFF G9 HP computer. Either buy a computer where you can customize it before shipping and pay the price or get one on sale and try to deal with the HP online parts store like I'm about to do.

Elite upgrade to Z2
I always bought Elite desktops for my office. I decided to try this Z2 on sale on Cyber Monday. Good decision. Fantastic value. Z2 is my choice in the future. I replace my HPs every 4 years. All of the HPs I have acquired in the last 15 years are still around and operating being used by someone at home or office for some purpose. Amazing😳. HP business computers last forever. My experience with the HP consumer models wasn’t so great except for the Omen gaming desktop and laptop computers I bought for my teenager. With HP you can buy their their business and gaming computers confident that you will not likely be disappointed. Although a Spectra laptop and a little little 20 + year old sub notebook will still fire up.

Disappointing
Kept rebooting while I was trying to setup. Reinstalled OS and still did the same. There was no indication in Windows logs of what the problem was and the hardware passed the HP tests. Support wanted to send parts to try out. I decided that I wasted enough time as it was and shipped back for a refund. This desktop was purchased for a company, for which, I have setup many over the years. This is not the first of which, from HP, that disappointed me.

I havent owned a personal desktop In what feels like ages and have been using my husband's we bought 8 years ago , so when I got this I guess I didn't fully understand what I had. I was thinking it would be like the normal run of the mill towers we use in the office at work, but no. When it states it's customizable it truly means it. I don't think there's a single thing internally you can't change . Graphics and refresh rate is pretty on par for gaming and graphic design. I really like the compact design and ability to connect it to the TV if im feeling like it. It did come with a nice mouse and keyboard which was also nice. The computer performance itself is highly impressive. Everything boots up and transitions quickly without any lag . I wanted to wait to review until I had customized something but if im being honest I have yet to find a reason to do so. Video editing goes well, game play is great, memory is superb. I'm very impressed with the power and compact size of this product. I do plan on getting a wifi adapter so I can keep it somewhere other than my husband's office space, as it's so good I don't want to share. He can keep his old one for himself haha

This is a great little machine! Super beefy and fast. I am using this as a CAD Workstation and it's been great, couldn't ask for anything better, super quiet when running. I may upgrade it here and there in the future, but this is perfect for what I'm using it for.

Small but mighty
I have to admit that this is the fastest one in processing speed of all. I am amazed at how quickly it boots up This one is much quicker. I have not tested it with heavy multi-processing; however, I did put it through the paces while transferring files while moving data from my old laptop. I had several apps open during that process with no noticeable lag. It's packed well, seems to have what you'd need to set it up. It's super compact, which is impressive. We don't have any plans at the moment to upgrade this or customize it already is everything you would need in it at this moment

WORKS GREAT AND HAS A LOT OF STORAGE SPACE
I am beyond impressed with this Z Workstation. This workstation definitely delivers a high performance workspace. This has to be the fastest processor I have ever used. Everything loads extremely fast and when I am searching the internet it works so flawlessly. This computer is perfect for work, school, surfing the internet, playing games and video editing. This computer was also very easy to set up.
This workstation provides plenty of storage space. I am so excited that this workstation is customizable. There are so many upgrades and expansions I can add to this computer. Another great thing about this computer is the size of it. I like that it isn't big and bulky. It is fairly lightweight and does not take up much room. This workstation came with a keyboard and mouse. I did have to buy a few things for this workstation. Since this computer does not have wifi capabilities I did have to purchase a USB wifi adapter. You can connect this to the internet through an ethernet cable but If your computer is set up away from your modem like mine is you will need a Wi-Fi adapter or an extremely long Ethernet cable. I also had to purchase a display port cable for my monitor.
This workstation has exceeded my expectations and is everything I need in a computer. I highly recommend this product.

Love the small profile and speed!
I do a lot of video editing so I was interested in trying out a desktop like this to see if it was compatible. I've long been a laptop user so I wanted to see if a stationary desktop made a difference. This thing is fast-moving (which is great) and seems to process even really intense programs well. I would say it's compatible with a really juiced-up laptop in terms of how it moves. The station, itself, is much smaller than most desktops I'm used which is great because my desk space is limited. I do wish it could sit vertically a little more comfortably to save even more space but doing that didn't seem particularly sturdy. The accessories (keyboard and laptop) were nothing to write home about and definitely seemed like the least impressive part of the whole setup. Overall, I think this is a good setup if you prefer desktops over laptops and is a good fit for some memory-intensive things. There are a few ways I would have liked to see improvements to be the ideal setup but it's definitely going to work for what I need it for!

The HP - HP Z2 Small Form Factor G9 Workstation - Customizable was so fast to end. The transitions of different tabs were very smooth. I definitely recommend this workstation for anyone with her to have a business at home or do homeschooling. This is just amazing.

I've never been. A fan of HP computers until now. They really thought of everything (almost) when. They were building this computer. They really went all out and this computer handles a lot of work at one time. Instead of "workstation" it should be called a workhorse. My only complaint is that it does not use wifi, i have to use a network cable .

This cpu is definitely one of the best I've ever had. Its processor is very fast, which makes my tasks as easy as possible. It comes with the wired keyboard and mouse, but you have to buy the monitor separately, for this you have to check that the monitor has a displayport (DP) adapter to be able to connect it or if not add it at the time of purchase, it has several ports Fast reading usb, from the back and from the front, which allows you to have any device connected, it is totally customizable so make sure you have basic functions, in my case my computer does not have a wireless connection, I cannot use a Wi-Fi connection, nor Bluetooth, it was almost impossible for me to get those connections on this computer despite having installed driver updates and checking the network adapters, the only way to connect was through an ethernet connection which I did not have at that time for what I had to buy the adapter, in terms of software, it is the most complete it has Wolf pro protection that keeps the computer free from any threat, basically designed for business ios, it has Windows 10 pro and an Intel i9 processor, basically it is a powerful computer, very fast and with a storage capacity of almost 1 tb, this computer does not have an optical disk drive, basically it is a computer to use in your business, both for its storage as well as for its productivity, for someone with little knowledge of computers it is a bit difficult to use it, once discovering the additional functions it has, you can take full advantage of it, great equipment but without basic predetermined functions.

Hello, regarding the Z2 G9 small factor workstation work the A4000 Nvidia GPU, does it come with the desktop version of that GPU or the laptop version? I'd be surprised if they could fit the full desktop version in there.
The GPU inside the HP Z2 G9 is a proprietary card designed for the HP small-factor Workstations.
