DIDN'T WORK
After speaking with customer service reps at HP TWICE and being assured this would let me use two monitors with my laptop.(I gave the model # and serial #) I spent two hours trying to get this hub to work with my computer. It didn't work. I ended up calling Tech support only to be told my laptop can't do 2 monitors.

Extra ports without any hassles
Adding a few more ports fore my HP PC. Plug and play, recognized immediately and works as required. Wish the attachment cord was a bit longer so I could hide this device more easily. Satisfied with my purchase

HP technical support is courteous but entirely untrained and clueless on technical issues.
I purchased this a part of an HP advertised package with 2 monitors to implement dual monitors on an HP Envy desktop. Following the HP instructions, it did not work. Contacting HP support was difficult, when I made contact with support, they were not knowledgeable about the product. What they had me try didn't work and they concluded the Hub was faulty. I returned the HUB and they sent a replacement. This had the same problem. The issue was escalated to another support technician and after a few more days, I was called. We were on the phone for 1 1/4 hours, trying all his suggestions did not resolve the problem. He was not at all knowledgeable about the technologies underlying the HUB, desktop or dual monitor set up. His conclusion was that this HUB would not work to support dual monitors and I needed to purchase additional HP products to connect the dual monitors. I am returning the HUB and they are only crediting me with a partial refund.

Not complete system
Was sold as a two-monitor and hub set. However it did not come complete. Monitors equipped with hdmi cables but hub only takes one hdmi. Had to purchase an additional display port cable to make it work.

Will this work with a 17t-cn300?
Hello. Thanks for your question. The HP Laptop 17t-cn300 has 1 USB Type-C port 5Gbps signaling rate that supports data transfer only and does not support charging or external monitors. That means you cannot use this HP Universal USB-C Multiport Hub.
You can use an universal USB docking station with the HP Laptop 17t-cn300 . Be sure there are the same video ports that are on the monitors, i.e. HDMI.

I plugged the hub into my laptop & I plugged my 2nd monitor into the doc using HDMI. The 2nd monitor mimics laptop monitor and when I check settings it reflects 1/2 - both monitors have the same thing on them. Can you help?

Not all laptops with USB-C ports are compatible with docks and hubs. The USB-C port must have DisplayPort and PowerDelivery functionality will be compatible.

Hello Jeff and thanks for your question! The HP USB-C Hub recommends a 90W USB-C AC adapter. At this time HP does not have one available via the website. But any 90W USB-C adapter will work. Also, the HP 120W Thunderbolt G4 Dock is compatible as another option. Both will be compatible with two displays via HDMI and DP.

Will this work with an HP 17-cn0075cl (product 500u27ua#aba) to power 1 monitor through the HDMI and 1 monitor through the display port? I need 2 external monitors and I have tried 2 different HP Docking stations and neither have transfered the display.
The HP 17-cn0075cl will not be compatible with Docking stations or Hubs in terms of display. In order to use a Dock or a Hub for video, the USB-C port must include PowerDelivery and DisplayPort in the USB-C. The HP 17-cn0075cl does not have that capability.
