Rated 5 out of 5 by tagarcia from Awesome 2-in-1 HP This is my second HP Spectre 2-in-1. This one exceeds my expectations in terms of ease to setup, and is much faster with improved graphics, better battery capacity, and it comes with four times the hard drive space (2TB) than what I had before so I am no longer constrained with loading applications and files. I purchased a separate Bluetooth full size keyboard and mouse as I do a lot of engineering calculations so I need to numeric keypad. It was extremely easy to pair these. The touchpad is large which can interfere when typing with the built in keyboard so the external one also helps with this. I do not use the elaborate graphics editing capability it has with the included pen, but I am sure it would be useful for a graphics designer. Overall, I am please with the product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by S Davis from Another fine Spectre This is the third Spectre I've owned, so obviously I like them. This one is another solid member in the line. Literally solid! It has nice build quality and seems like it will hold up like the others did. Performance-wise it's fine. It's not going to break any records, but it has plenty of power. My main disappointment is that they took away the numeric keypad and the physical camera on/off switch. I assume the keypad was removed to make room for the bigger speakers, but don’t think that was a great trade off. And I assume the camera switch was just a money saver. That's my other issue, this is a fairly pricey machine. But overall, I'm happy with it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from HP Spectre x360 not for multi-media I really enjoy this computer for remote business applications, primarily using Office 365. I would have given a rating a 5 but it runs extremely slow with Adobe Lightroom, to the extent it is far too frustrating to edit the simplest of photos. I had even upgraded the graphics card.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Like the Spectre laptop series so much, I bought another one After 5 years of owning a Spectre laptop, it was time for an upgrade. The old unit was still functioning fine and never had a breakdown, but I needed increased processing power and more RAM. After evaluating available offerings, I realized that the reliablity of the old unit guided me to buying another Spectre. I chose this model for its processing power and the 32GB of RAM. My older unit had both Intel and NVIDIA graphics, but since I never used the NVIDIA, I was alright with the capabilities of this model. This unit has a limited number of USB ports, so if you use many external device, you will need to purchase a separate docking unit. If you like to connect to Ethernet at your desktop, a multi-functional docking unit with Ethernet becomes essential. I have had success attaching such a unit through the USB-C ports. The placement of the Power button is a considerable improvement over the earlier models, because it is now visible (on the keyboard) and large enough for large finger tips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gil Ilani from The Keyboard is the worst of all Spectre x360 models so far The keyboard design is worse than previous models: 1. It is great that at last there is an FN lock. But activating it with the Shift is a bad idea. Since Home/End/PgUp/PgDown are activated with FN it creates a situation that you need both FN and Shift to select text and then it forces you to think of the order of the buttons. i.e. to press Shift first and then FN in order to select text, cause if you do FN and then Shift it will just toggle the FN-Lock. Very annoying 2. Anyone that writes a lot of text (Word documents) is in high use of Home and End keys. Removing those keys to be activated only with Fn is a big drawback. 3. Move the speakers next to the mouse pad and add back the numeric pad.

Rated 3 out of 5 by good bad and the ugly. from Laptop A, Pen C-, Customer Service F-- the laptop itself is great. The MP 2.0 rechargeable tilt pen works, but doesn't magnetically stick to the laptop so it just falls off every time which is super annoying. Tried calling HP customer service and that was incredibly annoying. Literally the WORST service I have ever been through. There is no back option. No option to redirect to an actual person. If you do or say something wrong you have to actually HANG UP and call all over again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by pwassistant from Beautiful and Multi-Functional Laptop I love this laptop! It was purchased for me at work and the multifunctional aspects work like a dream. The OLED screen is beautiful and I love that it is a 2-in-1. It's perfect for when I take to meetings to take notes but also works well when I need to make digital graphics. I recommend anyone get this laptop!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Claudeoleo from 16 inches is not 14 Size differences should be self-evident. I have truly loved my 14" HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 laptop purchased in 2018. So much so that I bought a second one for my wife. Size, weight, performance, touch screen, and especially the micro-SD slot! I keep 10 256GB micro-SD's in my phone's zipper wallet and use them in the Spectre for critical on-the-go backup and access. Alas, the USB-C connectors began to fail last year. First the power on one, and then the power and data on the other. Fearing I would soon experience its demise, I quickly ordered what I thought was an exciting upgraded latest model with the same 2TB SSD, 16GB RAM. But after pulling the trigger and then reading more specifics I saw that this was not the same model, but a bigger, heavier 16 inch edition and without a mirco-SD slot! I tried to contact HP which took some effort and finally was able to speak with a live person who said they had already begun configuring my order and could not make any changes. OK, calm down. Two hours after placing your order is too long to change your mind. So, reassess and look at the positives: The 16" model is vastly superior to the bantam 14". Yes, twice as heavy, but WOW! look at the screen, and the size of the touchpad. Sound quality and loudness is very impressive. Booming bass without distortion. The function-arrow key combinations has taken a bit of adjustment over the previously dedicated HOME-END PGUP-PGDN keys. Speed, keyboard, rapid-on from sleep is a delight. I'm getting used to the bulk and heft. Overall, I'm happy with what I'm stuck with. But really miss the micro-SD slot and 2 lb weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ari G. from Best laptop out there This laptop is superior to the ones I looked at, and I looked at a lot. The weight, speed, and design is outstanding. Wish it had a few more ports but it will do just fine with what it has. The battery life is awesome too! I got it for medical school so it will come in handy for sure. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone. I already have!

Rated 2 out of 5 by EA24 from Disappointing so far First, I would like to mention this is the most expensive computer I've ever purchased (I'm new to customization). That said, I would expect it to be the best, but unfortunately that's not the case. I'm a designer and I customized this machine to ensure it would handle the programs I use, including Rhino, Photoshop and Illustrator. I've only had it for about 3 weeks now, I have not even installed the 3-d program yet, and I've had many issues already. From day one, the microsoft photos app did not work. For the past week or two, it's been giving me a blue screen, crashes and restarts (this sometimes even happens at start-up before any apps are open). Once it took nearly 30mins for the machine to fix whatever was going on and reboot. The sound is also shotty, and I've have to restart to get the sound to come back on. I do like the fold back-tablet function and the pen for sketching, but definitely not worth the investment so far. For a customized machine, I would look elsewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Baron95 from Great 16” OLED, great trackpad, awesome gaming performance. Great 16” OLED screen, keyboard and specially the trackpad. First trackpad on a Windows machine that is as good as a Mac. The RTX4050, despite the paper specs is phenomenal. Solid 120FPS in Fortnite/Epic and over 100FPS in Cyberpunk/High both at 1920x1200. Stays cool and quiet even during heavy gaming. The April BIOS update makes a good difference in performance. It could be a bit thinner/lighter, but overall it’s the best laptop I’ve ever had.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Doc Cop from Wi-Fi connections and overall Laptop approval I am liking the 2in1. It is a lot faster then my old Laptop. The issue that I am having is that the Wi-Fi keeps turning off and when I try to use the, "Turn Wi-Fi on" icon, it does not and I can not see any Wi-Fi's to try to connect to. HP has tried to help, the process they walked me through, appeared to help but it has happened again. Otherwise I am liking this computer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by 94Hawkeye2 from Scroll area too large The laptop was a great idea for our family, but the scroll area is so big that when you rest your palm, it moves and makes changes to your typing. I wanted an HP for performance, but I would choose a different laptop with a smaller scroll area to eliminate interference with typing.
Date published: 2024-03-27
Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Power Cord keeps unplugging The power cord keeps unplugging automatically. Apparently if you ask HP to fix it they just send you the same power cord, so the issue persists. It's very annoying to constantly have to be checking if your laptop is actually still charging or if you need to replug the power cord. Other than that it's a pretty solid laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JW Carney from HP Spectre x360 16 2-in-1 LT 32gig, NVidia 4050, 2TB SSD. Excellent laptop with one flaw, no SD Card reader. While you can purchase an external one, it's an unwanted additional expense. Same for the MPP pen. It appears HP is going the Apple route, nickel and diming its customers. Still...Excellent build quality, screen has excellent color and contrast. Other than the lack of SD Card reader, no complaints. Will give a long term review later this year or next. Will be using it for content creation and daily business use. No plans on gaming.

You are missing an important option on the "Customizable" 16-inch HP Spectre 360. The WiFi 7 BE200 with Bluetooth 5.4 wireless card is not included as an option on the "Customizable" version. Does anyone see the irony? When will it be added?
