Pros and Cons of Spectre x360 14 2024
Pros:
Great screen.
Great speakers.
Great keyboard.
Great battery life (when doing basic web browsing/document editing)
Wakes up fast from sleep.
Stable. Haven't had any blue screen or bugs or technical issues.
Touchscreen feels smooth and it feels great to use with the included pen.
No fan noise when doing basic tasks.
Professional design.
Impressive webcam.
Cons:
Difficult to open laptop.
LED on power button is always on when the laptop is on.
Comes pre-installed with lots of bloatware.
Speakers lack bass.
Lack of customization provided in the BIOS.
Have to take care of screen because of potential for OLED burn-in (black wallpaper, remove desktop icons, go full screen in web browsers to avoid static tabs on top, etc).
OLED screen flickers at low brightness and when viewing a grey/black image.

Very satisfied
Exactly what I was looking for. It is very fast and easy to adjust to my requirements. Lightweight, large screen and a keyboard that fits my big fingers. I'm totally pleased with my purchase.

Hinge Issues
Overall, the machine meets expectations apart from the two hinges that secure the screen to the chassis. The left hinge is more so than the right but both hinges are bent. For this being HP's top model I am disappointed to say the least.

HP x360 continues downward spiral into making great product line more and more unusable
Bought this to replace previous gen (2021) model, because a friend needed a PC quickly.
Bad idea. Literally everything is a downgrade.
Screen = bad. went from 3000x2000 to 2800x1880 (useless 16:9 format). I didn't even LOOK at the spec when buying because how can a next years' model be WORSE than the one it's replacing?
Keyboard = extremely bad. home/pgup/down/end keys removed, more buttons removed (where the heck is INS button???), continuing the trend of making F1-F10 keys useless by defaulting to media buttons. Fn lock now has an annoying LED that's ALWAYS ON when using the keyboard in normal mode (F1-F10 keys). Until now this was an option in bios and didn't need a dumb led. Now there's a distracting dot in the corner of keyboard. Even 2021 model was already "bad" with removal of INS and other useful keys and replacing with a power button inside keyboard (WHY? nobody asked). But this continues the trend into even worse. Yes, I know what a BACKSPACE key is. really don't need it spelled out in HUGE CAPITAL LETTERS.
Removal of microSD reader = bad. Why? what was wrong with keeping a $5 part?
Overall, laptop became thicker and feels more plasticky and way less premium than previous model.
The only thing stopping me from just returning it right away is that the new intel processors/arc graphics is actually making mobile segment useful enough for proper work. Definitely an upgrade from i7-1165G7 from the previous model. And that's why it gets 1 star, otherwise it would have been zero.

Good product but lousy delivery delays.
I love my new HP laptop! That said, this was one of the worst shopping experiences I have ever endured. Advertised as "two business day delivery," I had to wait almost a month since it was shipped from China and had numerous delays in delivery.

Excellent machine
This laptop is all that it claim to be. it's fast with a good keyboard (Windows 11 is another thing all together) can't blame the laptop for Win 11 difficulties. I like the thunderbolt connection.

I Thought I Had Invested in a Premium Laptop
Large storage, large RAM, nice Oled display - that's good. Unfortunately, battery life is only about 5 hours doing normal web browsing, which is a great disappointment. About 30% of the time, the EVO-required quick return from sleep doesn't work. The worst is the trackpad, which often doesn't respond to a light touch, but requires a thump. I wish I hadn't paid for a premium laptop, because it seems I didn't get one.

Overall great build and functioning well
I had this one built to my likings and it is performing admirably since I got it. Windows has a few quirks that have been built in on the newest version that I have to figure out but overall the device is just what I needed for my photo editing with good memory and good space and the price was very reasonable for devices these days!

Awful customer service
I purchased this product because I love my current HP Spectre. This newer model is not quite as light or as thin. Also, the customer service through the HP website was attrocious! They were delayed in sending it out, and shipped it via the wrong method. This caused an over 2.5 week delay in getting the product. All in all took about a month from ordering to recieving! Reaching customer support was nearly impossible. Only through the HP online chat, and it was often representatives that did not understand English. I had an awful experience.

Some Pros, some Cons, overall good..
This laptop looks and feels nice but I'm not sure if I'm really "feeling" the HP experience (or maybe I am and am somewhat underwhelmed..) Overall I'm feeling fine about the purchase but biggest items of concern would be battery life and minor processor lag.
Some Pros:
Front view camera is solid, very nice. Touch button cover is a cool feature. Audio is also solid and performs up to expectations. Good job there HP. Screen looks great and gets very bright (one minus here is I would prefer it be able to go dimmer at night, and a way to do half steps when adjusting brightness would be great - not sure whether windows allows that or if it's out there but really wouldn't be too hard to do I don't think.) Aspect ratio is good.
Some Cons:
Battery life on this does not seem to be living up to what several of the reviewers have remarked. I would note that this unit has the Ultra 5 125H processor, not the 155H processor that most reviewers received, however I do not really see how that would have significant bearing on battery life. I am very much getting average battery life from this.
The processor seems to 'shudder' and lag a little from time to time? Strange to me as I'm not really an intensive user... using as a business laptop for email, web, and routine activities. I do have it on battery saver but still not sure why a brand new laptop with a latest gen processor would be doing that (I did modify some of the view settings to try and make everything snappy as well as turn of some startup apps / remove bloatware.)
Note on color. The midnight black (it's something like that) in real life has quite a red undertone so that it renders nearly purple under some lights. If you are aware of this you can notice it to a degree in some reviewers photos; however, none that I'm aware made mention of it, but I came across a reddit post which confirmed what I too was seeing. Too much purple. So I switched out for the Slate blue color. It is nice, the blue is not overly dramatic (has a bit of a green undertone to it) but really is a nice blue grey color I can live with.
Customer service throughout the purchase process was underwhelming. Plenty of info out there on that... I would prefer HP do differently for the keyboard shortcut keys across the top. Would love to have a keyboard key straight to the calculator. The pen support is there but perhaps weak. I am coming from a Samsung and the pen experience seems much more integrated.
Small quibble - not sure why they didn't put the usb-c ports on the left side of the computer to be able to charge it from that side which is typically for most laptops. However I knew this was the case going in.
These are my thoughts.

Love my HP
I love this laptop with its ease of use, speed and advanced technology. When I need to find out about a feature, there is an easy-to-use system display that easily explains everything. You can show your apps on the opening screen or click the windows app and they are all there. One thing I like is you can change your desktop background with just a click of the mouse. The size is perfect for me. I can write or draw on the screen. It works as a tablet too! I am still learning about things I can do with my laptop.

So happy with this well-designed laptop!
Thus far, I've been super-happy with this laptop, which I've had for about a month. The pros: fast, lightweight, beautiful screen, comfortable keyboard, thoughtful design all over. Even the power supply/cord is attractively designed! The main issues I've had are more about adjusting to the annoyances of Windows 11 (which I'd avoided until now). The only other things that I'm still adjusting to is the location of the volume and screen brightness keys (in the function key area). Not sure why, but I have to stare a while to figure out what button to push. Also, I tend to hit the Windows key when I intend to press the CTRL key. But I think that's just me.

Great Laptop / Some concerns
Great performance and features. If you customize your build there is a wait but I my opinion it is worth it. For such an investment I think HP should include a protective/portable case. Power adapter (AC/DC that all laptops require) is still bulky. Not a lot of ‘bloatware’ preloaded. I am really impressed with the laptop because my biggest gripe is the delete button is unsized and right next to the power button which leads to a lot of ‘oops’ presses. Think about it…why is the power button more prevalent? Do you use delete or power off more often. Regardless it is a small gripe for a great laptop. Love the amount of ports and the fact that they are angled (check out a pic).

Spectre whizzes
The HP Spectre x360 Laptop is the BEST of the available Intel Ultra 7 Evo computers. I tried the Asus and Samsung versions of the Intel Ultra 7 Evo and was disappointed in their sluggishness. The HP machine speeds thru my daily MS365 deeds. Would highly recommend spending the additional few dollars for a superb computer.

buy a Macbook please
What bothers me with windows devices is the lack of performance in battery mode. this one is no exception.
It heavy for it's size (good luck using it as a tablet),
the port location is weird,
keyboard is not as good as my Lenovo ThinkPad from 3 years ago.
performance even while connected to power is less than Macbook Air
I'm windows user since the day i started having computers and have to admit MacBook's are miles better than windows machines now.
And the most frustrating part is i had to pay HP $170 just to return the device.

Powerful, efficient and smooth. Might buy another!
I'm really impressed with this computer. The screen is stunning, and the battery life is amazing. I've used it for video editing in Premiere Pro, which was my biggest concern, and it has surpassed my expectations. I've only heard the fans once, and they're nearly silent. The Ultra processor and Arc graphics are really impressive. The only downside is that my wife loves it as much as I do, to the point where I might just have to get another one.
