What a waste of money and time...
The HP USB-C G5 Dock in combination with a HP Omnibook 5 is ridiculous.
It seems, every time there is a power outage, or disconnect and reconnect the HP Omnibook 5 and HP USB-C G5 Dock have problems.
Just today after a power interruption had to completely power down both. Hard reboot the Omnibook 5 *three* times, holding the power button 30 seconds, and go through the CMOS checksum issue, to finally have it recognize the external screen connected to the USB-C G5 Dock. After all of that, it still did not recognize the Logitech BRIO Webcam. It had to be unplugged and plugged back in. It has the latter issue every single time the Dock is connected to the Omnibook 5.
Was hoping to save time and gain ease by buying an HP USB-C G5 Dock, to use an external Screen, Webcam, Mouse, and Keyboard. Instead it seems all it has done in the month it has been in use is create aggravation.
The experience so far is the absolute and total inverse of the experience with an other major brand that does the same thing flawlessly, and has been for 4 years...

I'm old school, had to replace my desktop and monitor. I LOVE my HP Pro322! I worried that I wouldn't be able to set it up, but it pretty much did it by itself. I love the clarity. I've used Hewlett Packard products for years and have always been happy with them. I'm sure I will continue.

I don't have a title.
I can't get it to work. When the screen comes on it asks for a password and I can't find a way to get a password because I never have put any info in to tower.

Excellent Port Expander

I bought this HP Series 3 Pro322 pf for under a $100 and it's got great color clarity, it's easy to operate, when I needed help setting it up the tech support was excellent. I highly recommend it!

Decent value when purchased at a discount
I purchased and am using with a recently new HP Pavilion Plus laptop (16-ab1010nr), for use on my home office desk and primarily for interface to external monitor, ethernet to home network router, and interface to miscellaneous USB connected devices. All interface ports from the dock that I am using are found to work fine and without any problems encountered so far (~1 month time). I have not yet used either of the 2 display port outputs to interface to my external monitor (currently lacking the necessary display port cable), but the HDMI port to external monitor interface works fine. I can't comment on what display resolution and refresh rate are supported, but fine for my current LG monitor and laptop use (I am not a gamer). The dock model that I purchased (HP USB-C Dock G5 (26D32AA)) has only 1 USB-C interface port (in addition to the USB-C cable connection to host laptop), but 4 other USB-A interface ports. It would be a nice improvement if the dock had more than just the 1 USB-C port.

Hello. Thanks for your question. The HP Laptop 15-dy4013dx has 1 USB Type-C port 5 Gbps signaling rate that supports data transfer only and does not support charging or external monitors. That means this HP USB-C Dock G5 is not compatible with the HP Laptop 15-dy4013dx.
You can use an universal USB docking station. Be sure there are the same video ports that are on the monitors, i.e. HDMI.
