If you need a cheap HDMI monitor then ...
I purchased this monitor for my basement PC. It was around $60. So I don't expect it to perform as well as a monitor costing twice as much. That said, with all the fiddling around I could do with the various controls, I couldn't really make a black letter on a white background seem "sharp" to me. So you get what you pay for. Full brightness seems acceptable, but not that bright either. It works fine for the occasional use it gets.

Good Monitor so far
Wanted a monitor with speakers that did not cost a fortune-- this was cheapest I could find-- monitor is good only "problem" was trying to get the speakers to work-- it took a lot of online searching after searching the monitor button options-- otherwise it would be 5 stars-- should be clearer as to how to engage the speakers to work past the "test"

Does this monitor serve as a docking station? I would like to use my laptop as the main resource and have my current monitor in addition to the subject monitor so that I may navigate thru multiple tabs and spreadsheets. Please advise
Thank you for your question! As this monitor does not feature built-in USB ports this cannot be used as a docking station. This is designed for the HP Desktop Mini, HP Chromebox, or select HP Thin Client models to fit directly behind the display. The HP E27 G4 FHD Monitor is a great option to be used as a docking station as it features many USB ports, DisplayPorts and an HDMI as well.

Is adjusting the brightness a problem with windows 11? How much does it weigh?
Hello Helen and thank you for your question! Adjusting the brightness is easy. You can adjust your HP monitor to suit your preferences. Use the OSD menu to customize the viewing features
of your monitor.
To access and make adjustments in the OSD, use the joypad OSD button on the monitor's rear panel:
1. If the monitor is not already on, press the power button to turn on the monitor.
2. Press the Menu button or, if you are using the joypad OSD button, press the center of the joypad OSD
button.
3. Press the function buttons up, down, left, or right to navigate menu choices. Press the center of the
joypad OSD button to make a selection.
