HP all in one printer 9020e series
Request an owners/user manual. When you go on line for assistance to set up your printer be alert to the HP chat person who is “transferring you to a tech”. The tech gets into your computer and before you know what is happening and that you are not working with an HP tech but an independent contractor and $199.00 later you ask yourself what happened here. Then you straighten out and finish setting up your computer. The most confusing areas are scanning and photo printing. Really need a manual. Nothing technical comes with the printer. Afraid to use the HP support again. I had returned a printer - my old printer performed better. This 9020e has produced quality copies at a fair speed. Has not jammed as much as previous HP printers. I still have not perfected a lot of the features.

We ordered the same model we had before plus a care package we did not purchase last time. By ordering the same model, all of our staff was familiar with how to operate it. It is in our nurses station and often gets used for faxing between us and our doctors office

I cannot rate this printer because it failed the moment I set it up by telling me there was a paper jam before I ever placed paper in the tray. This was the 2nd HP printer in 3 weeks I had to return soon after turning it on due to a failure.

Great Printer short on instructional support)
I am very pleased with the printer. I have only one issue. I do not understand how the two paper trays functions. Though I have spoken with Technical Support twice and read the "On-Line" info I am still confused and don't fill I amm getting the full use from them.

Needed help to set it up
Installing was more complicated than I expected. Used your remote service to do it, and that, too, took a bit to make happen. Had to call several times over the first few days. One person would fix one problem and then another person would discover and fix another problem. All told it took probably 2-3 hours to set up.

More expensive, yet cheaper.
This printer is noisier than my previous hp printer. Feels cheaper. The head does not move quietly, it squeaks. The top does not hold it's own weight like my previous one. If let go, it crashes against the glass.

Olc printer was HP 8610 I believe. Great printer, but I needed 2 trays. This new 9025e has the 2 trays, but it is slower to print and much louder. That is disappointing.

Diminished quality of HP Printers.
There are design "flaws" in its housing and operation.
1. Software. It is designed to serve Windows 10 or higher; not for those who continue to use Windows 7. (Older machines which will no accept Win 10.)
2. Installing the printer's software must be done manually. It is still incomplete on this machine as hp scan does not work properly.
3. The "front line" personnel installing its software are inadequately trained.
4. The case "managers" are clearly not interested in serving purchasers. this reflects a company that is not interested in purchaser service. HP "policy" is abrupt and constrictive. (Service is far below what it once was.)
5. The "output" tray is poorly designed.
6. The upper paper tray is poorly designed.
7. The machine is far slower than advertised. (This could be a software problem.)
8. The ADF will only accept about 20 sheets of paper, not 50.
9. As usual the operating "window" is difficult to navigate.
10 The print head does not "sit" (accept) ink cartridges securely. They will pop out if not carefully seated.
11. This is not a good machine.

I am very disappointed in this copier. My old HP ( 10 years) copier is 10 times better than this one. It is loud and nosy and very slow. Plus it cuts off partsa of documents on the bottom and on the left side. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Prints extremely slow, only has a letter size scanner. Takes 1-2 minutes per page to print in draft mode text only.
Prints nice quality, and features work as should just not recommended for someone who prints a lot and wants it printed fast. This is not a home office type printer
