What do I do with me old H-P?
The printer is just fine so it gets 5 stars. However, the customer experience of getting help with disposing of or recycling the old 6978 was as bad as one might imagine between robots and live person who could not even understand my request. Wasted lots of time with every try and gave up finally. H-P should be embarrassed.

Stay with HP printers all in one or Reconsider Other Brands
NEW HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e AIO Ordered & Received -- WAS DOA -- Technical staff walked through -- installation -- Printer messaged that printer head was missing or installed incorrectly ; removed printer head & carefully wiped head with microfiber cloth & reinstalled .Msg from printer also indicated that carriage could not move -- Was instructed to install the 4 ink cartridges by HP person -- Ink cartridges did not fit and decision was not to replace printer head or printer and to get a full refund for the new machine, I have used HP printers for over 30 years
and this was 1st printer to have problems and returned. Disappointed and could not really give a rating except a 1 star for DOA.

Not an easy set-up
The printer didn't work at first, requiring 3 long calls to service. Then it seemed to be working but a day or so later it wouldn't scan. I haven't had time to do the tutorial about re-setting up the scan. All in all, it's been an extremely frustrating start with a new machine.

Pretty good printer
About one month into ownership of new printer, and very satisfied so far. The old one (8610) was quite too until, suddenly it stopped. Hope this one lasts longer! I signed up for auto-ink, but wonder how that will work out given my very low printing level. At least got the units in the printer, as well as free ink for six months as part of warranty package. This might cover me for a long time unless the cartridges dry out

Works well but the start up tajes some doing. HP could do a better job to help users setting up their new printers. But once you expend the time and effort, the printer works as advertised.

Solid printer at a reasonable price.
This printer has the same functionality as my older printer but it's much more compact, prints faster, and uses smaller cartridges with around the same ink capacity. Because it's HPSmart+ it doesn't go offline like my laser jet HP printer. Solid printer for under $300, and if it lasts at least 7 years like the one I replaced, it'll be a good value.

This printer is just a piece of junk. It is so cheaply built that it should never be called an OfficeJet Pro. It's impossible to install, jams constantly, and the HP website is no help at all. After signing in repeatedly, it's impossible to find a way to return it and then they say there might be a 15% restocking fee. I will never buy from the HP Store again.

I got this printer for my daughter because it was advertised as all in one, and she could print photos too, but she can't figure out how to print photos.

Can the printer accept A4 size paper for scanning?
Thank you for the question. Yes. A4 is 8.27 inches × 11.7 inches The OfficeJet Pro 9000 series printers will scan up to 8.5 x 14-inch pages using the automatic document feeder and up to 8.5 x 11.7-inch pages on the glass (flatbed).

Will the printer print PDF files that are located on a USB Thumb Drive using the front USB port on the left side of the printer? What file formats will it print, using this port. This is not the rear USB connection port, but the front left USB port.
Hey, Tier Level 3 support says PDF from the front USB port is not supported. Only Image file formats like JPG, BMP, TIFF and PNG.
I just confirmed this and it will NOT print PDF files from a USB Flash Drive.
